Subject autofill feature stopped working in gmail for new subjects only - and I'm not the only one - help!
A few weeks ago subject line autofill for gmail email stopped working. Old subjects from many weeks ago still come up but not new ones. I finally researched in gmail support and see many others with same problem. Gmail says it's a browser issue but settings are correct for remembering history, etc and have not changed. Is there a Firefox fix? Not having this feature is wasting a lot of my (and others) time retyping same subject over and over.

I will chime in here and confirm that I have the same problem and it is only with Gmail subject lines. Many other websites I frequent such as ebay, amazon, or user forums all remember what I enter in search fields. Problem is, I don't care if they remember or not. I need the subject line in Gmail to remember previous entries and that is the only reason I found this support page in search of a solution.

When i connect my iphone 3GS to my PC, while syncing in progress, pc shows backing up, preparing to sync. Then message display "itunes stopped working",
windows checking for solution, Then message comes "A problem caused the program to stop working correct. Windows will close the program and notify you if solution is available" , Then Itunes go off. I have tried agains installing Itunes etc no use. I am not a computer literate, help me to resolve this, ThanksI have already copied my photographs to the a library manager but when I tried to reuse iphoto and import the photos back into iphoto, it would not let me.
You can't "copy" your photos to the "library manager", there is just no way to any such thing.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Can anyone tell me why my collusion .27 add-on stopped working when I updated to firefox 20 (and now 21?). I've tried removing and reinstalling to no avail. I even deleted my profile files and had firefox repopulate those automatically to no avail. And it's not the only add-on to have stopped working.

Synaptics Coasting Feature Stops Working
The laptop is model G61-420ca in which there are no W8 drivers as that is what I have running now.
I have disabled tapping and the right hand swipe feature that pulls the Charms Bar out.
Randomly the coasting action will stop working (which I have enabled) and double tapping causes the cursor to fly up to the right hand upper corner where it pulls the annoying Charms Bar out.
All of the settings remain disabled as mentioned above, but the only way to get coasting back again as well as the cursor from activating the charms bar is to restart the computer.
I tried installing the newest driver direct from Synaptics which I thought worked, but it happened today anyway.
Plus Microsoft just did an update and installed an older version.
My dv8 which wasn't doing it at all, has also just started doing this annoying thing.
Nothing on Google about it either....Yes, an improvement over some things, but a step backwards on many others. Like having to click more to shut things down _ and if I apply the registry hack to fix that it affects other things in little annoying ways, just as one example. Why couldn't they have a shut down button in the charms bar, that would have made much more sense then berrying it under the gear symbol since it's not actually a setting per say, but a function to shut the computer down, not something that is user controllable.
I did one of the hacks and added a shut down button to the tool bar on my G61 and after that, a command prompt window flashed on the screen when I booted up _ that's what I call unstable... and very annoying.
Or when I mouse over to my favorites list or close a window the charms keeps popping out and there is a and hack to keep that from happening.
If I have to carve up a piece of software to get it to work, then I won't use it.
A machine that is meant for W8 probably works fine, a computer where there are no drivers for it doesn't work very well.
If I close the lid on my dv8 and open it _ it black screens _ randomly. I then get this pop up "W8 is experiencing a problem and will have to shut down". One time it even affected the BIOS with all this loud beeping and I had to force it to shut down.
So no, W8 is designed for touch screen computers and if you don't have one _ best stick with W7 and maybe 2022 they will have worked the bugs out. -
Autofill function stopped working- Suggestions?
MacBookPro, OS X - 10.8.5
Why did my Autofill function stop working? It has always worked fine, but now when I click on the Autofill box that pops up when needed, the box turns blue and then locks on the screen. No autofill function occurs, the box simply freezes in that screen location and stays there in front screen. All other functions continue, but the pop-up box remains highlighted blue and frozen in place on the screen. I can't close it or put behind other windows. I need to close Safari to eliminate the Autofill pop-up box.
Open for suggestions, please.

Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access. -
GPU basic features stop working after updating from version 13.0 to Photoshop version 13.1
My Basic GPU features were working flawless with Photoshop version 13.0 After I update to version 13.1 for CC members all my GPU features stop working. Is there a form to set my Photosop version 13.1 in order to use my GPU features or there is a huge difference between versions that doesn't allow me to use the GPU features? Note: I Already update my graphics card driver

Pavilion23tm touch feature stopped working
I have the monitor set up as a second monitor to a dell all in one. The touch feature stopped working on the 23tm. I have updated the drivers and installed the latest Windows 8.1 updates. What else can I do?

I understand that you are having issues getting the touch part of your HP 23TM LCD Monitor to work with your Dell computer running Windows 8.1. Unfortunately, at this time there are no drivers for this monitor listed for Windows 8.1. The only drivers I was able to locate was the HP 23tm LCD Monitor Driver, which is for your monitor on a Windows 7 or Windows 8 computer.

my autofill stopped working recently. I looked under preferences and all the necessary boxes are checked. When I start to fill out a form, the autofill box comes up, but when I click on it, it turns blue and nothing else happens.
Back up all data, then test after each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
1. Press the down-arrow key. (Credit to ASC member iNeight.)
2. Quit and relaunch Safari. Force quit if necessary.
3. Click in the first field to be filled, and then select
Edit ▹ AutoFill Form
from the menu bar. You may have to reload the page in order to do this.
4. Select
Contacts ▹ Preferences ▹ vCard
and uncheck the box marked
Enable private me card
if it's checked.
5. Select your card in Contacts. Then select
Card ▹ Make This My Card
from the menu bar.

If the box was already checked, uncheck it and then check it again.
7. Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.

Touchsmart Touch features stopped working on my replacement TM2 laptop. I have an extended warranty, but HP's website does not see it. It only lets me call in for help. I called in, spent 30m on hold, and hung up in frustration. I am sick of HP's craptastic quality control, whether in midrange servers like the DL-585 or on consumer products like the TM2. Every time I try and use an HP product in our data center or office, it ends up embarassing me. When we try and get support, HP makes every effort to make it difficult either on the web or online. Do I seriously have to escalate to our district manager every time? I'm beginning to think HP is a vendor best left off the candidate list for future purchasing. There's easier and more fun ways to waste my time.
My problem has been resolved on my next start up. Not sure what triggered the fix, but when I started up and during the Window start up image I pressed in sequence both DEL and ESC (I read something on another forum somewhere). May have had nothing to do with it, maybe the restore triggered?? but somehow when it started up it ran a sequence of fixes (A quick pop up said running .. of 13,000 updates), then the touchpad etc was working again.
My machine is runnning the standard windows 7. Just to answer your question there is a option under (control panel / Hardware & Sound / device & printers / right click keyboard settings) that checks the drivers.

I get a message that itunes has stopped working. When I check out why it is because of the dep security on my computer. When I try to find the program for itunes for the .exe file i cannot find it to turn off the dep for that file
I found the file but when I added it to the list for the Data Execution Program to ignore , I received a message that the Program.x86/itunes file must have the DEP on in order to run. Anyone else having this problem ?

My subject bar has stopped working in 2 of my Go Daddy emails.
If I switch to internet explorer the subject bar works fine.
Go Daddy said it is a firefox (Browser) problem I am having.
Please let me know what I can do so my subject line in the top of my emails work again.

Shuffle songs feature stopped working?!?
my shuffle songs feature stopped working on my ipod...the arrow (>) disappeared after syncing after i consolidated my music from my external and computer hard drives. i've tried re-syncing, re-setting the shuffle feature, and restoring tthe factory setting, but my ipod still does not allow me to use shuffle, since the (>)has been missing. how do i fix this? also my playlists are not playing continuously. i have to click of each song, or it will just repeat the same song over and over. how can i fix these problems, because itunes works fine on my laptop?
I don't see an answer to the original question. I have just downloaded the iPod software from the CD and I have tons of questions -- where do I turn? Someone loaded music on my iPod 2 years ago when I first got the thing, and now that I have a new computer with Windows XP, I'd like to add my own music to this device. I can't even see where the software is on my computer. No way am I going to plug my iPod into the computer and lose everything. Help!!

I charged my ipad with a defective charger, it heated up and stopped working. i charged for a good 4 hours without knowing the charger was defected (distortion of internal wires and a broken protective external layer)
You're not asking any question so I'll just ramble.
You may have permanently damaged your iPad. The iPad controls the current coming from the charger but the charger electronics must be capable of responding to the iPad. Charge with a known good charger and then test your iPad. If it's OK, you lucked out. Otherwise... If the charger was not an Apple charger, you're completely out of luck. If it was an Apple charger, call Apple and discuss the issue with them.
