Submenu loses color in IE

I'm scratching my head on this one. I've got a horizontal
menu with subs. The subs use a blue bkgrd color with white text and
a dark blue with white text on hover. Works fine in FF and Safari.
IE changes the submenu boxes to white backgrounds. I can't find the
fix for this. I saw something about white backgrounds in IE on the
forum earlier but can't locate it again. (never can find it when
you need it). Any words of guidance would be excellent.
In addition, if any one has figured out how to have a
HORIZONTAL submenu bar with a Horizontal menu bar using Spry that
would be greatly appreciated. I couldn't seem to make work
correctly. Thanks.

Les cuento que uso habitualmente el ilustrator CC 2014, lo tengo instalado en una Acer Aspire 5720, el windows es el 7 de 32 bits.
Tengo problemas al imprimir con los colores de los archivos que estan enlazados y que son imágenes (psd o jpg), el color queda alterado, ejemplo: un magenta (composicion en CMYK 1-96-7-0 se imprimió un bordeaux oscuro casi negro). No me pasa lo mismo si doy la orden de impresion desde una maquina que tiene XP
A otra persona le ha pasado?
Ah!! detalle, intento imprimir en una impresora digital Ricoh Aficio C 6000.

Pictures lose color indesign

When i import pictures to Indesign the pictures lose color and brightness. In photoshop the pictures look fine.

What Color Space is the image (the ICC profile) and what are the profiles of the indd?
Will the Indesign layout ultimately be printed in CMYK?

When I import slides from iPhoto to iDVD, they lose color.

I want to burn an iDVD from photos/movies that are on iPhoto. Although they look fine in the work space, when I run the iDVD movie, about 75% of the slides lose all color or show only deep blues and purple. I have already verified the color in settings, tried eliminating the movie clips. What is happening?

Menu background lose color when import to dvd sp

i create psd then flat it and save as tif and jpeg and even psd files. Both look good but when import to DVDSP, the color lose. Any suggestions? save png file?

Can't thank you enough.
I had been away from FCP and DVD SP for awhile and that can cause a loss of memory.
Your answer triggered my brain to export the finished project in FCP as a QT movie to my external drive and from there to DVD SP.
I also have forgotten most of the French I once knew as well.

SPRY submenu text color help needed.

I've created a vertical SPRY menu bar over a dark background
image in a left sidebar. The text is white and the background is
set to none (transparent).
When the submenu opens to the right it's on a white
background (over the main content area). Because the text is set to
white, you cannot see the submenu links.
Is there a way to change only the submenu links to black? I'd
also like to change the background color of the submenu links.

- This first link is the Spry home page. There you will find an
updater to Spry that if you have not downloaded up to this point,
you should I will explain why shortly. Inside the package you will
find a ton of samples and an Extension. Install the Extension and
restart DW. Then under the Sites menu you will see a new option to
update your Spry. Run that updater.

The last two examples will help you out. All you will need to do is
read through the source code of the document. There is no need to
read through the source of the CSS file because they show you the
changed CSS on that page. Just apply those changes to your CSS
SpryMenuBarVertical.css document where the tag matches. If there is
no matching tag you will need to just copy and paste the entire
portion but I don't think that is the case with your menu. Also
your entries will be Menubar 8 & 9 in the source code, but to
find the matching code in your css document just replace the
MenuBar8 or 9 with MenuBarVertical.

In elements 6, certain edited files lose color when transfered to Photomail or Online Gallery. Why is this happening?

Using Elements 6- when editing files in certain applications such as Portrait Proffesional, the edited versions lose their color when transfered to Photomail or Online Gallery. Also, when I use elements 6 e- mail attatchment to e-mail a single file, I get a message that says too much has been taken up. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well here's my workflow. I'm using Firewire external HD for storing Aperture library.
1. Creating Folder with client's name
2. Creating New project with shooting name in the clients folder.
3. importing all RAW files into project. During that process i'm adding all keywords, time adjustment, credits etc....
4. sorting photos, adding ratings (1 - for delete, 4 and 5 - to keep).
5. making smart albums (according to ratings). Deleting all 1 star files.
6. Editing all 5 stars (the one i'll give to the clients). If i'll need to edit it with photoshop, i'll use open in external editor. And keep the final psd file also in the Aperture library.
7. Adding "final version" keyword to all files ready to be send to the client.
8. Making a new smart folder (sorting by "final" keyword)
9. Using internal web publishing - i'm publish them on my .Mac account. Sending the link to the client
10. Using presets exporting tiffs and jpg versions and burning them on DVD for my client.
11. Also - i'll print them using Aperture.
12. Backing up the project - both on DVD and Aperture Vault (using external HD).
13. I'm also backing up Aperture library using TimeMachine (using 3rd external drive).

Lose color with canopus 300 converter from computer to TV

I have a new Sharp 15 in TV to use with FCE so I can see my movie on an analogue TV and edit color appropriately. The TV works well as a stand alone or when connected to a deck. But when I connect the Canopus advc-300 converter to my computer and put my FCE movie through the converter to the TV, I lose yellows and greens in the signal bar and throughtout the movie. I know it is not the TV causing the problem. So I am guessing my settings are not right on the converter. The Canopus help site is down because of some sort of transfer to Grass Valley and has been down for several days. Does anyone use this converter and know what I am doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated

All dip switches were off, but I took your advice and turned on the 7.5 IRE.
Yes, it is in Digital mode and has been. When I hold it down for 3 seconds I get the bar code with no yellows or greens. Then the movie does not start, just the bar code. So I toggle that off and try again and the movie does not play on the TV screen.
I have the Easy Set up for out to DV converter. I am using a component cable and red and white cables for audio.
I always turn the converter off before I do anything.
3D processing and 3D noise reduction light up only if converting from analogue to digital, so that never lights when in DV mode.
It worked a day ago with the lousy color but then I thought it was my TV, but checked the TV out with cable input and with a deck and a DVD I had made and it is fine, the color is good.
So I deleted my recent FCE preferences from my Library, restarted and am in the fix I am in now.
I appreciate your advice, but no luck so far. Any more advice would be very much appreciated.

How would I go about changing the text color of the submenu items without changing the text color of the main menu items?

Srpy Submenu background color

How do I style my horizontal menu bar so the parent items (main menu items) have a background image but the submenus don't.
I have tried placing it in ul.MenuBarHorizontal a but it carry's over to the submenus. My goal is to have an image just in the main nave bar and not carry down to the submenus.
I tried adding a class to the submenus and it kind of worked. I was able to add a color but I could still see the backgound image slightly behind the submenu
Is there a simple way to do this?? I have tried everything!!!!!!

It seems to me that I have answered this in another thread. Thought it was one of yours...
Keep in mind that you want to restyle the descendant selectors.
Whereas ul.MenuBarHorizontal styles all elements of the unordered list of class "MenuBarHorizontal", you can limit its influence by making a selector like this one:
ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul {
background-image: url(none);
This will style the submenus and subsubmenus without a background.
Remember that you want to be styling the unordered list INSIDE the top-level menu items, not the top-level menus themselves this time. Also remember to put this new style selector BELOW or AFTER the original on the stylesheet page.

Preview panel loses Color Management after Minimize Bridge CS5

Whenever I minimize the Bridge CS5 application window to the Windows taskbar, upon restoring or maximizing the Bridge application window the image(s) currently showing in the Preview panel no longer appear color managed (they look exactly as they would appear from a non-color-managed app.) In order to see them as color managed again, I have to either de/re-select their thumbnails or double click the Preview panel twice (once to minimize it, and once again to restore it.) Otherwise resizing the Preview panel has no impact on the color. The thumbnails in the Content panel are fine. This did NOT occur in CS4 or earlier versions of Bridge - otherwise the same environment.
I have a wide-gamut monitor, which causes many non-color-managed images to look super saturated, especially reds & greens, so it is probably much easier to notice this behavior in this environment than from a typical-gamut monitor.
Windows 7, x64, ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card, Bridge v4.0.3.9
Anyone else notice this annoyance?

I doubt this is a video issue as no other versions of Bridge behave this way on this system. I have the same preference settings in Bridge CS5 as for Bridge CS4 - which works fine. Nor does Photoshop exhibit this behavior post-minimizing, & Photoshop behaves perfectly for all the OpenGL Drawing settings (which I have set to Advanced in PS.) Bridge just seems to poorly manage the Preview panel color post-minimizing the application window, but otherwise everything displays fine during operation. I'd be surprised if it was just me but if it is, it's an easy enough annoyance to work around. I'd imagine that this isn't too observable on a normal-gamut monitor.
I tried your suggestion of "use software rendering", just in case, but it made no difference. Appreciate the idea though...
One more observation:
While thumbnails are being generated for the first time on large images, they also have the non-color-managed appearance until they complete their generating, at which time they take the managed appearance - but I just consider that a processing-timing final step & it hasn't changed behavior from previous versions of Bridge.

Lose color fonts during PDF creation from MS Word

I have a B&W laser printer as my default and when I save a Word document to PDF, all colored fonts are changed to black. But if I change my default printer to my inkjet, it saves with color. It is a minor annoyance to have to do this each time and then change it back.
I am saving the PDF to upload it to my website, not to print it, so need the color font.
I couldn’t find a setting in the Reader preferences to change this.

That's because there are none.
Reader doesn't create PDF's. You would want to check with a Microsoft support forum to get an answer.

Illustrator 10 files lose color of linked ps files when opened in ai CS4

I'm sending these files to an ftp site - in folders containing 4 or 5 linked colored photoshop files ( some RGB some CMKY 8 bits/channel )-- recipient says the linked files open in black and white!
Is anyone haveing the same problem --- or know a solution -- or some leads ???

Do you think CS4 is unique -- and not able to open version 10 in color ?    I'm going to save my version 10 files in CS5 and resend to client/printer.
one other element to this is I'm sending the files to an ftp site via Filezilla --   any advice on any of this is appreciated.

Also, whether you are using a vertical or horizontal menu you
can find the necessary tag within CSS. Adobe as done a fairly good
job on commenting exactly what is going on.
I worked on a project for Alabama Marriage & Family using
horizontal menus. You can take a look at my navigation and see how
I structured my CSS. Each sub-menu actually has different CSS
properties so it made it a little more difficult.
