Submit button grayed out in Project server 2013 WorkFlow

We published the Workflow in project server'13 through SharePoint desginer 2013 and we used the Microsoft sample workflow. after saving the project information Submit button is in disable mode. So can any body clarify this issue ?
we tried the re provisioned the PWA through the above article but still submit button is in grayed out mode.
Please clarify me where i am wrong?

Hi,
Open your site in SharePoint Designer
Expand the "Workflows" folder, and the folder containing the workflow you want to fix
Right-click on the file that ends in "xoml.wfconfig.xml"
Choose Open With -> SharePoint Designer (Open as XML)”
Look for the “RulesVersion” attribute
Change its value to “V1.0”
Save the xml file
If you modify the workflow again, you’ll have to change the “RulesVersion” attribute again before saving as an STP as changing the workflow increments this
attribute value which has to be reset to "V1.0".

Help needed Regarding Project Server - 2013 Workflow

Hi All,
I am new to Project server 2013 Workflow, hence please help me regarding this. Pardon me if this question is too trivial.
I have created a project type associated with a workflow and my workflow is as follows :
So I am not doing anything here, I am just testing the workflow as mentioned by technet site : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn458865(v=office.15).aspx
But it is mentioned that, after a minute or 2, the workflow state will change, also they have mentioned to press the Submit button.
But in my case, the workflow is not moving to next stage [It just says 'The workflow is still processing - which never changes after hours] or I am getting the submit button (Submit button is disabled on the ribbon). Below is the state of my workflow :
PS : I have made the user added to Portfolio managers group as well. But still I am having this same issue.
The Workflow manager is installed properly, and it is working fine in case of List workflow. I am facing the issue only wrt Site workflow for Project server 2013.
Please help me to solve this issue.

Hi Kiran,
I am now facing issue while assigning a task to a person in the workflow.
I am having a person named say 'John' , who is included in Project Manager as well as Portfolio Manager.
And I am using a workflow as :
Stage : Conceptual
Assign a task to John (Task outcome to Variable: Outcome5 | Task ID to Variable: TaskID3 )
Transition to stage
Go to Approval
But this is again giving issue as :
Workflow Internal status : Cancelled
Details: System.ApplicationException: HTTP 401 {"error":{"code":"-2147024891, System.UnauthorizedAccessException","message":{"lang":"en-US","value":"Access denied. You do not have
permission to perform this action or access this resource."}}}
PS : I have used the same Sharepoint admin account for 'Account Name' in ‘User Profile Sync' , Is this causing the issue? Please let me know.

As i was in progress to making workflows in sharepoint designer this is my first project of implementing project server 2013 and executing the workflows,in the continuation of this i followed below mentioned link to go through the process of WORKFLOWS but
got some issue

ISSUE: Is that the SUBMIT Button is grayed out after saving initial proposal plan. Snapshot is attached.
I have checked in/out process along with this gone through re-executed the whole process same result occurred.

Hi Danish,
Its a common thing which users are experiencing.
When you create project from workflow click on Submit it take time for transition before transition it check all the condition which you have set for workflow stage. As per your screenshot it is waiting for details in PDP (Provide details of the proposed project)
when you click on submit it push data into the database,sometimes it send e mails to stakeholder then it use exchange and take times to send e-mails and for transition too.
When you/user face this issue ask them to wait for some time or close the file then reopen.
In the screen workflow is waiting for Project detail information in PDP that is why it is still in process and not going to next stage.

Project Server 2013 Workflow Task Permissions Breaking Inheritance and Causing Workflow to Cancel

I have an on-premise instance of Project Server 2013 with a workflow that includes an
Assigned Task to assign users to Approve or Reject a WF phase. The workflow successfully assigns the task and notifies the user of the task. However, after (or possibly just prior) the user Approves the task, the workflow is automatically
cancelled.
By default, the WF Task List is set to inherit permissions. After Approving an item, it appears that the list permissions automatically breaks inheritance, causing the workflow to cancel. This occurs somewhat regularly after resetting permissions to inherit
from the parent site. Although there are stretches where the issue doesn't occur. I'm not sure what's causing the list permissions to change.
This issue occurs in both our Dev and Prod environments. Has anyone experienced this issue with permissions breaking inheritance automatically?

Hi Vic,
According to your description, my understanding is that the workflow was cancled when you created a workflow with Impersonation Step to break inheritance permissions.
After breaking inheritance permissions, make sure the workflow initiator (the creator) still has least edit permission on the list.
In addition, please check the workflow history list to find more information about this issue.

Cluster (sub menu) submit button grayed out

hello all
as of today my compressor has stopped allowing me to submit the batch i set up.
having sent an item from FCP to compressor, i get to set the options for settings and destination and then when i hit the submit button a second menu pops down regarding cluster options of which i have none. i add a name to this box yet no mater what other options i change the *submit button in this sub menu remains grayed out!*

i have tried reinstalling compressor, and eventually the whole suit. i have removed the various prefs and qmaster stuff. i have used the fix compressor utility from digital rebel, repaired permissions and cleared out cache, but still *grayed out submit*.
what thoughts cloud genii?

I'm having the same problem.
This comes after suffering persistent crashing of Compressor 3.5 on launch and finally having to reinstall to at least fix the crashing problem. But now I can't submit any processes - the button is greyed out.
Can't remember setting this up originally, but it use to say "This Computer" for processing - do I need to add my computer to a list of available processors?
Any help hugely appreciated,

2nd 'Submit' button grayed out

Exported fine last night. Today when I click the Submit button and the window opens where I can name it, I do, but the submit button there is grayed out. Any idea what the problem is?

I am having this same issue, I have been using Compressor for the exact same thing for months. Suddenly I am unable to submit on the second submit button. It is greyed out and unclickable. I haven't changed settings it just randomly happened.. Compressor 4

Compressor Submit Button Grayed Out.

I am new to FCP compressor. Recently my compressor won't let me click the submit button. It is grayed out. I have trashed my Compressor plists. I have tried Compressor Repair. I have trashed applications Qmasters and Compressor and reinstalled them. Still I get to the point wher I click submit and the button is grayed out. I have seen many posts and have tried the remedies and still no fix. Anyone see what i might be doing wrong?

I'm not new at this but I'm getting the same problem. It seems as if under cluster when hitting submit on my job, I don't get the "this computer" as a cluster option anymore. It simply says none. This is a legit copy bought retail. I tried running the proapps update i downloaded directly from apple. Here's a link to the screen shot of what it looks like.

Compressor has the submit button grayed-out

I've uninstalled the complete FCS-3 using FCS remover for the 3rd time but the "submit" button is still grayed-out and the local cluster does not show up. (all it says is "none" & "other")
What is wrong? Do I have to resort to wiping the entire OS and re-install everything to get compressor to do its job?

I've never encountered this particular issue, but if reinstalls via FCS Remover aren't working, then I would tend to believe that there is some other underlying problems with your system. A clean system install would be my next recommendation.

How to send previous stage of a project in project server 2013 workflow

I have taken three stages. First stage i have submitted fields it goes to second stage. Now on basis of condition if it fails the condition it should go to stage1.
Can it be possible. If it possible pleas guide me. I am using Project server designer 2013.

What you are looking for is a State-Machine Workflow. In SharePoint 2013 Designer, the "Stages" model will allow you to do this. See my example below. However, if you workflow logic is overly complex, Visual Studio might be a better tool to build the
workflow.

The problem persists... Submit button grayed-out

Hello guys,
I'm still not able to process my videos, Compressor refuses to process our batches.
I've already repaired permissions many times, deleted the entire FCP suite twice, used
Compressor repair and trashed preferences several times.
I don't know what else to do, Compressor refuses to process.
Any help is much appreciated.
My system:
MacPro 2.66 Dual Core Xeon with 5 gigs of Ram
I'm running FCS 3

no one has an answer, maybe someone who has apple care can call up apple? i am on a work computer and they do not have apple care on this computer. i know if you reinstall everything it will work, for a while. then in a few days the compressor button will be greyed out...again!

Project Server 2013 - Out of Office Sync - Only two months in future?!?

Hello there guys,
after Long Long search for the problem, I've found out that our Project Server 2013 only syncs the out of Office time from our Exchange Calendar for the next two months.
But for our Project planning we Need of course a more longtime synchronization, at least 6 or better 12 months.
I didnt find any Option where I could set it to sync more then 2 months of the out of Office times in the calendars.
I've spent already so much time on this Problem... When I set the Project Server time 2 weeks(!) in the future, then the sync will also sync two more weeks in the future, but not more.
The timesheet periods are also set for the next 12 month.
Does anybody have an Information/help regarding this Problem for me?
How can I set the Out of Office sync to synchronize more then just 2 months?

So the Project Server is only asking for two months of User Availability on the Exchange. Where can I Change this Setting so that the Project Server syncs more then 2 months?
Otherwise this functionality is quite useless in my view as we are planning our Projects longer then only 2 months...

I am using SP 2013 and Project Server 2013. I want to create a project detail page with a upload button to save document to project's site(generated from site template).
In 2010,in solution starter kit ,there was a list viewer control to achieve this.But how to do this in Project server 2013

Project Server 2013 Task Reassignment Privileges Off? (Works in Timesheet)

Version: Project Server 2013
I'm trying to give our users access to reassign tasks. I turned on "Reassign Task" on the Global Permissions and gave them security to "Assign Resource" on all their categories.
I've tested this, and the "Reassign" feature is available and working then they are on the "Timesheet" page, but it is grayed out and gives the message:
"This control is currently disabled. You might not have the right permission level to use this, you might need to select an object or item, or the control might not work in this context."
Again, the same task is available to be reassigned in Timesheet though.
My guess is that this is a Security Permission issue, because my account which I am the Administrator and Owner of the project, I can reassign tasks on both pages.
Any suggestions?

Hi Justin,
Just for your information, as far as I know, the "assign resources" is not necessary for using the "reassign task" feature. The "reassign task" global permission is enough.
To be sure to understand your issue, the "reassign task" button is available for you as admin or project owner, but not for users which you granted the "reassign task" permission to? Am I right?
You are talking about global permissions but did you add the "reassign task" to the
groups permission the users belong to?
Silly question, but do the users have select a task before trying to reassign it?
