Submit button: no response

After I add my QT file and settings, and choose my destinations, I click Submit and nothing happens. No error, no crash, no compression. It's like it doesn't recognize the button as a trigger to start working.
I hesitate to reinstall because I've never launched or used this particular copy of Compressor before. Only used older versions. Seems to be DOA.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

PO has been submitted and its would be pending state if not approved yet. you could get this details in Details window of PO.

  • Cannot Change Identities / Email where Submit button emails responses to

I have created, entiriely, in LiveCycle a form. When it is distributed it AUTOMATICALLY inserts my own email to where the repsonses go to. Cannot - REPEAT CANNOT- Alter it.
THIS IS NOT THE SUBMIT BUTTON THAT YOU PUT INTO A FORM.
This is the "Submit" that is automatically generated and put into the PDF TAB when a form is distributed.
I've gone into Acrobat / LiveCycle and changed "identies" but the response STILL goes to my Email. It NEVER picks up my changed Identity - and shows my own email and not the one I want responses sent to.
Rebooted after chainging Identities  - STILL goes to my email.
Edited in the Acrobat - STILL - goes to my email - SUBMIT button (automatically created when you distribute the form) ALWAYS says to send to my email.
Edit the options/properties to change - MY EMAIL IS GREYED OUT AND CANNOT ALTER IT IN THE DISTIBUTON panel where you can select options as how the form is distrubited - selecting EMAIL response to form submission.
It ALWAYS SHOWS my Active Directoy LOGON ID as the form OWNER - CANNOT CHANGE IT.
We are IN an Active Directory environemnt and my logon account has NO RIGHTS to change MASTER registry Win7 entries at all - only (like normal) my own preferences - BUT LIVE CYCLE / ADOBE DOES NOT CHANGE ANYTHING with email at all concerning the auto email sent to portion. I can change "sent by" but NOT who I want responses sent to.
Cannot FIND at all any XML preferences file in registry / file system to hack and manually change it.
You look at the XML data in the form and it shows my email address - AND ALL XML data is BLOCKED from being edit at all in the form - and NO idea where it is pulling this information from.
Is there ANY WAY at all to change --- WITHOUT WRITING ANY CODE - to alter where a distributed form is to send email repsonses to.
CANNOT, REPEAT CANNOT - use any cloud, online or any external source at all. Cannot use Acrobat.com.
    Thanks,
    Tom

The email address is coded into the server script file that processes the form data.
Look for the below file on the server and see if you can open it and locate the email address. It's a Cold Fusion file

  • Why isn't the Submit button submitting responses?

I created an evaluation form using Forms Central and distributed it. 4/5 respondents filled it out with no problems. The last person filled it out twice and lost her responses once through an error on her end and the second time she doesn't know why her answers weren't submitted properly. Any ideas why this might not have worked?

  • Is it possible to set up a form with a submit button where the data in the fields gets added to an existing excel file, just like 'collect response' but without connecting to the internet?

I have a form that I want to use to collect peoples information with a submit button. I am trying to get the data that gets inserted to be added to an existing excel doc when the submit button gets hit, the form then resets and someone else can fill in the same form, hit submit and his data gets added to the existing data in the same excel doc. It is basically the same as the 'collecting response' option but without having to be online. The form is going to be used at a boat-show and I am going to get people to fill it out on an iPad. Does anybody know if this is possible?

You could connect a bunch of 3700s to each computer and do this .
Or...since you're the one who monitors the monthly limit, you could restrict an individual's internet access once you see that you guys are coming too close to the cap.
I don't work for Cisco. I'm just here to help.

  • Submit Button doesn't response in Interactive Form

    Hi Guys,
I'm trying to implement a simple interactive form which is embeded in a abap webdynpro program.
I've set the interactive form properties as following:
        displayType: native
        enabled: X
        onSubmit: CLICK
and there has been a action "CLICK" with event handler and corresponding method implemented.
For the interactive form i have drag and drop a submit button for webdynproAciveX group, and doens't change anything for this button. I check the "*click" of this button and it is run at Client.
When I run this webdynpro program, the button is there, if i move my mouse onto this button, the mouse will change to hand shape. But if i click this button, it doesn't look like it has been really pushed down and up, I also tried the external debug of the OnClick method, I cannot get into the debug either.
Do you have any idea what might be the problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mao

    Hi,
When you are in the transaction SFP , then in the SAP tool bar you'll find the "Utilities" Menu bar, there you will be able to find the "Insert WebDynpro Script", when you click on this you'll in the Form in Heirarchy Pallete under the Variables you can see a script Object named "ContainerFoundation_JS" is being inserted. And Other Important thing is in the Properties tab of the SFP Transaction there select the Layout type as "ZCI Layout".
And when you insert the Submit button from the Library Pallete under "WebDynpro Native", then you'll find the below code in the Script Editor
// DO NOT MODIFY THE CODE BEYOND THIS POINT - 800.20070410093956.383622.376748 - SubmitToSAP.xfo
           ContainerFoundation_JS.SendMessageToContainer(event.target, "submit", "", "", "", "");
// END OF DO NOT MODIFY

  • How to open a new window from submit button &dialog page in current window?

We have a requirement, wherein we have a OAF search page for PO lines with search criteria, Go button to search ,result region (table layout) and a submit button(Create new expedite).
    1. Now user can select some lines from result region and click on Submit button.
    2. On click of submit button we need to pop up a window or may be a dialog page asking that " Do you want open supplier web link portal or not?".
    3. If user clicks yes(in Dialog page) then first fetch the URL from a look up maintained in Oracle EBS on the basis of supplier of the lines selected and then open that URL in a new window and side by side we need to open a dialog page in search page asking "whether user has updated the expedite info in supplier portal or not?". On basis of this we need to updated some count in custom tables.
So in step 3 i am facing problem, that how to open an URL in a new window through a submit button and side by side want to open a dialog page in the current window also.
Hope a quick response from you all.
Note:- To open a custom page we can have a link or button(button of type button and not submit button) on base page with destination url property as following javascript:
    javascript:var a = window.open('OA.jsp?page=/XXX/oracle/apps/xxx/......&retainAM=Y', 'a','height=500,width=900,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no'); a.focus();
So the question is how to do the same for submit button on OAF page???

    Antriksh,
You just need to attach a submit action in button bean and not submit button bean, based on the output of confirm type of alert in javascript.
Here is code u need to put in destination url of the button:
//replace <confirm message> by message you want to show.
javascript:input=confirm('<confirm message>');if(input==true){submitForm('DefaultFormName',0,{XXX:' abc'});}" Now in the process request of the base page CO, u can get parametre 'XXX' from the pagecontext....so
    if((("abc").equals(pageContext.getParameter("XXX"))))
    {/// custom LOGIC }
The same i have replied in your mail. I hope this resolves the issue.

  • Trying to delete "submit" button. Tried unsucessfully 5 times. Need help and want to start over.

I created a pdf that I just wanted people to be able to fill in, download, print out and then mail to me.  I followed the instructions from a previous acrobat expert who replied to me yesterday and that did not work.  Now, I've tried this 5 times and the system has blocked me out unless I pay for your advanced system which is $143.  Please help
Re: Want to delete the "submit" link on a pdf
created by Lucia Lao in FormsCentral - View the full discussion
    Hi,
I believe this is a form that you created with FormsCentral and then you downloaded/saved as PDF via the "Save Submission-Enabled PDF" button via the Distribute Tab.
Please select via FormsCentral app main menu:
    - File -> Save As PDF Form... and then
    - when you get the dialog "Would you like your PDF form to collect responses online in the "View Responses" tab?" select "Don't Collect Responses" button.
This will save the PDF form without the Submit button/link.
    Thanks,
    Lucia

The instructions Lucia gave you were correct. It seems you have a Basic trial account (5 forms). You can just delete the forms you are not using so you can create more. Can you explain in more detail how those instructions above didn't work? I think there is some confusion so any details you can provide will help clear it up.

  • Http submit button not working in acrobat pro

I wanted submit data to website through http submit button. This button is only working PDF preview in LiveCycle Designer.
However, when I open in Acrobat X pro, it shows error "Invalid server response".
Would you tell me where is the problem? This button is working in LiveCycle Designer.
    Strange!!!

Anyone has faced such problem? How can I solve it?

  • Submit button - "Unknown Error" message in acrobat

I have created a fairly large form. The submit button works in designer PDF preview, but if I open the form in acrobat and press the submit button it pops up a dialogue that says "Unknown Error" and the address I am sending the XML to.
This still happens if I change the button to XML, XDP, url-enc.. etc..
I have tried making a new form (ie. small amount data to send) with the same result.
What really gets me is that the last form I made (last week) worked fine.
Does anyone know what might be causing this?

I have figured this out.. kind of.
It was an XML over HTTP submit button and I was returning a php generated XML output of the posted data (so I could see it) - this works fine in LiveCycle preview, and in a web browser (acro activex), but not in Acrobat reader/pro as it's not a web browser and doesn't understand how to render the HTML/XML
This does lead me to the next question, whihc I will post seperatley as "XML submit URL response/return in acrobat"

  • SUBMIT button and VALUE clause

I have a jsp screen like below. It shows in a tabular form all the employee data.
    EMPLOYEE DETAILS
    EmpId_______ProcessEmpSalary_____ProcessEmpLeave
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    6
    7
    8
    NEXT______PREV____LAST____FIRST
Under ProcessEmpSalary ,ProcessEmpLeave of each employee I have a submit button and clicking on it the particular employee id has to be processed (for salary or leave). Now I want the employee id to be passed when the submit button of that particular employee is pressed.
So what I am doing is I put the emp id in the value clause and achieve my purpose. But this results in the display of the emp id over each submit button. It looks ugly and so
I dont want to use the VALUE clause of the SUBMIT button.........
So friends please tell me how to achieve it.Someone suggested me to use IMAGE but it doesn't work. Some suggested I use hidden varaible ,but I just don;t understand how is that possible. Some suggested me use javascript to pass the value and throw the form...this make sense but problem is I don't have time to learn javascript now.So please help with some code example how to achieve this result.

Here is my jsp as it is .Employee id was used for example. In my application it is Submission_Id
which is used as the key.

  • Help required with submit button

    Hi,
I need a little help with the submit button. The user submits the form as PDf to a servelt using submit button. The form submitted is validated at server side. If there are any errors the error messages are to be displayed to the user as a part of Form.
My approach was to have a hidden field present in the form. Once the error messages are recieved the field is to be populated with these messages and made visible true.
    Problem with my approach:
    1) How to send back data to the field using the servlet code which we have?

Unless if you use a Webservice, sending data back to form from the Servlet may not possible.
Once the form submits the data to the Servlet, the connection will be lost between the form and Servlet.
But if you use a Webservice, you can trap the response and display it to the user.
Other alternative to Servlet approach is, display a another page in the browser with the response.
So the user after submits will be notified of the result in a new window.
    Thanks

  • Help with submit button on PDF form

I created a form via the Forms Central desktop app then saved it as a PDF to my desktop.  When opening in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, I noticed that I am unable to include a submit button - it does not let me edit the PDF.  I've tried going back into Forms Central and adding a submit button, but that feature is not available anywhere.  Any suggestions?
PS - My preference is to have the responses returned to me, not my Forms Central account.
    Thanks so much.

    Hi;
OK - I can clarify some things and tell you how to do what your looking for.
The desktop FormsCentral application tools are really designed towards create forms that do collect data on FormsCentral servers.  You can still easily create PDFs that do not submit data to FormsCentral, but you'll have to add any alternative submit functionality using the Forms tools in Acrobat.  You can create a PDF without the submit button in either case, signed in/out of the Desktop Application from the "File" - "Save as PDF Form" menu item.  You can then modify the PDF in Acrobat XI Pro by doing a "Save A Copy", when you open the copy you can edit it any way you like, adding a "Submit" button that email's the PDF/Responses back to you...
Here's how: In Acrobat open the PDF you saved from the FormsCentral Desktop application and go to "File" - "Save a Copy" and choose a location, this will remove the security.  Open up the copy you just created and you can now edit it, here is a YouTube video tutorial using Acrobat XI, he covers the email button in about two minutes, there are lots of tutorials out there but this one is easy to follow:,

  • Email Submit Button - Change Text/Confirm submission

I have an Email Submit Button on my survey, which I am 'distributing'.  I would like for it to do 2 things once you click on the "Email Submit Button":
    1) Text of the button changes once it been clicked on in order to show that the survey was submitted. Right now, all I can figure is how to have the text change when you roll over the box or for the secnod you click on the box-- i want the caption to change once its been clicked.
    2) a text box appears below that can act as a "thank you for submitting your survey...".
any help and advice is much appreciated!

Thanks for the response Paul.  I feel like i'm very close, but I'm still not there... I'm not sure where to enter this javascript you sent me.  The only script I know to find is the XML Source ...if that's the right place, where do I enter your code?

  • Submit Button Does Not Work...Purple one and Gray One

    Hello,
    Please Help me.
I am creating a form and i wanted to test it first.
    *             Created In Adobe Pro Extended.
    *             Imported Into Adobe LifeCyle.
I wanted to test the form before I submitted it for the group.
note: somewhere....somehow... I made the "Submit Button", the Grey Button between the "Reset Form" and the "Print Form" use... "SEND FROM" TO: [email protected]
Also After I Import A New "Same Form Into ALC, I click on submit button and goto ""Object Field" and enter [email protected] for the email address and change the email Subject.
However every time when I'm using ALC, I click File>>>.Distribute Form..... Distribute Form Pop-up Window Opens Up.
I Click "Manually Collect Responses In My Email In Box.>>>Click Next>>>Tick "Save a Local Copy And Manually Send Later.
I Save To "C:\Users\Nimda\Desktop\Long-Term Care Ombudsman Volunteer Application\Long-Term Care Ombudsman Volunteer Application_distributed.pdf"
    Click Next>>>Click Finish.
I Then goto my desktop and open "Long-Term Care Ombudsman Volunteer Application_distributed.pdf" and try to test it and i still receive the same SEND FROM" TO: [email protected]
    PLEASE HELP
How Can I Change That, as I want to test form using my email address and information, before changing it with the proper email address  and submitting it to the group.
    Respectfully submitted,
    Attachments.Respectfully Submitted,

  • PDF form with one submit button that prints form and sanves PDF with data with a unique file name

We have a long medical form that patients can fill out at kiosks as they wait to see a doctor. We want one button so that the patient can print out the form with one click (and finish filling it out by hand if it's not finished already) and the same button click will save the form with a unique file name (using last name, first name, date, and/or email address so that the identity of the person who filled out the form will be readily apparent to anyone who wants to grab the user's responses later). Is Acrobat capable of doing something like this? LiveCycle Designer maybe? And if we continue with the PDF form and add a submit button, is there a way to program the button click to print and to save?
Thank you in advance of any suggestions that might accomplish this task.

I am not sure about the print, but it can probably be done -- possibly with a bit of JavaScript. As to the saving of the form, that is not reasonable at a kiosk. You would want the data submitted to a server (particularly with patient data), no e-mail or accessible drive. You can collect the data and put it in a database or import it to the form for printing yourself.
