Submit form button on fill in form

How do I change default message in email in the submit form button?   It says "form attached"' etc.
I tried java script and it worked for most, but iPad users couldn't select the button

thank you for your response.  I really don't want to customize the form, I just wanted to know if there is a way to modify the default language in the email message from the submit button.  The body says:
Form Returned: Class-Reg-Test-09-04-12.pdf
The attached file is the filled-out form. Please open it to review the data.
Thanks - I am looking into an Acrobat class.

I get this message when I attempt to open a password protected document. "This PDF document contains forms. The filling of forms is not supported." It won't even let me enter the password.  What do I do?

    Hi stephenh20710301,
Could you please let me know if you are using the latest version of Reader i.e 11.0.10
Ask the PDF creator or if you are the creator, open the PDF in Acrobat XI (latest version) and choose "File> Save as Other> Reader Extended PDF> Enable more Tools"
Let me know if this helps.

  • " This PDF document contains forms. The filling of form fields is not supported" -help?

I need to fill in & submit online forms but I keep getting the above message. I realise I can view and fill in the forms in an adobe window, but I need to do this online, and it is a secure website with the form imbedded. Is there any way I can have the "filling of form fields" supported so I can do this, please?

To switch from the less full featured built-in viewer to Adobe's Acrobat plugin, see the steps in this article: [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer]].
    Can you get it working?

  • Submit Form button won't email form

    Hi,
I've made a form and followed a few different tutorials to put a submit button on the form so that my customers can email the form back without saving it separately etc. I've used the 'mailto:emailaddress' bit but it won't send.
    I'm getting this error message:
Any help would be much appreciated please! I'm totally baffled, I've tried everything I can think of!

Tried to find the NPAPI plug in... that is what I found on Firefox
Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in has been blocked for your protection.
    Why was it blocked?
The Adobe Acrobat plugin doesn't work on Mac OS X in default (64-bit) mode, showing a blank page when users click on links to PDF files in Firefox. It also causes a significant number of crashes in 32-bit mode. There's more information on this blog post.
    Who is affected?
Firefox users on Mac OS X who have installed the Adobe Acrobat plugin.
    What does this mean?
Users are strongly encouraged to disable the problematic add-on or plugin, but may choose to continue using it if they accept the risks described.  When Mozilla becomes aware of add-ons, plugins, or other third-party software that seriously compromises Firefox security, stability, or performance and meets certain criteria, the software may be blocked from general use. For more information, please read this support article.
    Now what?

  • How can I submit or save a filled out form?

I have an Adobe form pending that responds "The operation is not allowed." when I click the submit button to email it.  The same form will only save in its blank state.  I am using Reader on a Macbook Pro.  I have tried setting the security preferences so that the source (and destination) of the form is trusted or privileged but that didn't work.  Is this a security matter or a buy-more-software matter.  The form needs to go out by email.  -N

Make sure you update to the latest version of Adobe Reader (11.0.07).

  • Error message: "This PDF document contains forms. The filling of form fields is not supported."

Hello, I am running with this operating system: Microsoft windows XP Professional version 2002 service pack 3
Just downloaded the newest version of Adobe reader
Using an updated version of Firefox.
There is an online form that I must fill out in adobe reader online...  I could download it, but then I would have to FAX or mail it in, as apposed to directly sending it to the organization it is from via a "SUBMIT" button at the end of the form...  I do not have a printer.
Thank you for any help you can give.

Do you use the Firefox PDF viewer, or the Adobe PDF plugin?  The Firefox PDF viewer is incompatible with many modern PDF features.

  • I have developed a fillable form using Adobe Acrobat Pro. The form has several fields and some of the information is captured in a bar code. What programs must be used to open the form to properly fill the form out?  Adobe Reader, Adobe Xi, Ibook, etc.. I

I have created a fillable form using Adobe Acrobat Pro that contains several data fields with some feeding data to a barcode in the document.  I have a "button" set up to save and send the completed form one it is completed.  Some of the user are having troubles filling out the form as they are using various programs to do such as iBook, Adobe Reader, etc....  Sometimes the information is not transferred to the barcode and sometimes the "submittal button" doesn't function properly.
Please provide a solution or give me a list of the programs that must be used to properly open and fill out the form.
    Greatly appreciated.

Best option is to use Adobe Reader (or Acrobat, of course) on a desktop computer (ie, not on a mobile device). Any other configuration is likely to be problematic.

  • Distributed form missing "automatic" Submit Form button

I am going crazy and running out of time.
I created a form in Acrobat.  I distributed the form using SharePoint.  It worked great.  For me and my test user.  I sent the distributed file to my boss so she could try it and there was no Submit Form button.  The purple forms bar was there; Highlight Fields was there; there was no Submit Form button.  I tried it on another user's computer and no Submit Form was there.  I tried it on our terminal server with a test user (set up like a standard user), and there was a Submit Form button.  I tried it on a computer outside our network and no Submit Form button was there.  I also had my boss try it in the terminal server (known working computer) and no Submit Form button was there.
I have looked around the net and found a JavaScript reference that hid a Submit Form button, but that is a different, ugly, email-only button meant for backwards-compatibility.
This is so effing frustrating.  I can't find a single reason the Submit Form button will show up for some and not others.
I submitted it via e-mail.  I open it within Terminal Services, logged in as me, and the Submit button wasn't there.  I open it with my Test user (a standard user, not admin or anything) and the Submit button is there.  I open it on my local machine and the Submit button is there.  WTF IS GOING ON, ADOBE???  I am so frustrated right now.

On this machine I only have AA5. I was able to open the first form, but saw no submit button anywhere. The second form would not open. I might try it with AA7 a bit later (the only versions I have at home).
I was able to check the various radio buttons and type in the text boxes. The text boxes seem to wrap correctly.
I assume folks will be fine with the exceeds expectations being on the left. In many surveys, the best is on the right and not on the left. However, I am not sure there is any standard for that and you have been consistent. I was wondering how you were going to take care of the signatures. It looks like you are going to do them by hand - I guess the advantage is that all the signers would see the entire evaluation before signing. The alternative would be to introduce digital signatures in some sense, possibly using the Acrobat route.
Again, I see no submit button. Bill

  • How to remove "submit form" button that's generated when distributing form without Designer

When I open it in Designer to delete the image all of my java gets screwed up, so I'm hoping there is a solution that doesn't involve updating all of the code. I'm using PDF Expert 5 and Box because adobe's reader is absolute garbage.
    Thank you in advance!

Sorry for not being clear, LC Designer.
Here is a screenshot of the submit form button in a blank form that's automatically inserted when distributing. If I open it in LC Designer I can remove the submit form button but it screws up all java and formatting. (sorry for not inserting an image or link, adobe'ss forums are about as well developed as its software)

I used Adobe Export PDF to convert an online form to word. I only got the form, not the fill-ins. ???

Form document will automatically be saved after closing the file. As far as cloud message is concerned, it seems your Mobile link setting has been turned on. When you pressed device back button after filling the form, it was saved to your Acrobat.com account. You can access this document by going to Acrobat.com tab present in left pane. Its a cloud storage area where you can upload/save any document.
    Thanks,

  • Is it possible to remove the submit form button that's automatically created when you distribute a form?

I have created a form for my boss and distributed it. She doesn't want the submit form button to appear as people don't need to submit the form to anyone, just fill it in and keep a copy. I can't figure out how to remove this button. It's not one I've created, it's the one that it automatically generates when you don't have a submit button in your form. Is it possible to remove this button or do we just have to live with it? I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
    Thanks

You can have more control on the email subject/ to and CC Email address, if you use a regular button and place the code in the click event.
Refer to the attached sample below.

  • Submit Form Button Acrobat X Pro Mac

I used Acrobat X Pro for the first time a couple of months ago. I created a form and when I was finished there was a Submit Form button in the purple field at the top of the document next to the Highlight Existing Fields button, and the text to the left of the buttons said "Please fill out the following form. When finished, click Submit Form to return the completed form. You can save data typed in this form.". I did not create any buttons on this form manually. I want to do this again for another form but I cannot figure out how I did it the first time. I have seen discussions on how to create a submit button, but I cannot get that to work either. Plus I think the Submit Form button looks nicer anyway. Please Help!!
    What I Need:
    - a pdf form with a submit button that will email me a copy of the completed form when pressed
    - the person filling out the form also needs to be able save a copy for themselves
    My System:
    Macbook Pro OS X 10.6.7
    Office 2011 for Mac 14.0
    Acrobat X for Mac 10.0.2

I just did what it sounds like you want to do using these instructions for Acrobat Pro 9. Here is the link: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Standard/WS3593E0A4-C5E2-4cde-A09E-2A984346DDD2.w. html
To make it so your user can save a copy go to the Advanced Tab and click on Extend Features in Adobe Reader. That should do it. Good Luck.
    Best,
    Lisa

  • Hiding the "Submit Form" button in Reader

I am referring to the "Submit Form" button that is part of the application (just to the right of the Highlight Fields button) rather than one that appears on the PDF document itself.
This is for a PDF form for a company with many branches.
I want to create a form that users can fill out and save in Reader, but I don't want them to submit it electronically, because I need them to provide a photo as well. I just want them to save the filled-out form and then email it together with a photo to their local branch manager, and I do not have a complete list of branch managers; I am assuming that the user knows the email address of their branch manager. So I either want to hide the Submit Form botton or change it to Save Form.
I am trying this  on a PC (specifically Acrobat 9, Acrobat Reader 9 and Windows Vista Home Premium), and also on a Mac. On both platforms, when I take an existing form and distribute it to get one that can be filled out n Reader, Acrobat generates a form that Reader displays with the Submit Form button.

Here is the answer to my own question. Don't use Distribute Form to generate the Reader-enabled form. Instead, in Acrobat 9, go to Advanced --> Extend Forms Fill-in and Save in Adobe Reader to generate the form. In Acrobat X, go to File>Save as.

  • "Submit Form" button automatically created when opening form in non-adobe program

I tried browsing the forum for a solution to getting rid of this annoying automatic button but got nothing. It gets generated on the body of the form (top right) when I publish for distribution using any method for collection. I'm using pdf expert 5 to fill and submit forms because adobe reader doesn't do what I need how I need it. Everything is perfect except for that annoying submit form button that specifies submitting by email because 'user is not using reader or acrobat version whatever'.
Anyone know how to get rid of this button?
    Thanks!

    Yes, that is correct.
I did not manually add this button, so I am assuming it was somehow automatically created.
It worked great up until now that I need to change the "To:" email address.
I've look through the XML code associated this this email address and changed it every where I could find it, but it still hasn't changed my results.  So, I have no idea how to change this and as stated above, if I create a new form it automatically sets it up to be sent to the wrong email address.  Not sure why or how to change it?
Let me know if you need further info to help me out.
    Thanks again
