SUBMIT FUNCTION ON COMPRESSOR IS NOT WORKING

Hi Everybody!
I was overseas for a while and when I came back to work, my workstation was updated I guess.
I'm using the FINAL CUT STUDIO 3, I did not any updates yet.
My issue is when I'm trying to send a sequence, from the timiline in final cut (SEND TO/COMPRESSOR) everything seems to be normal. Once I do all the settings and destinations on COMPRESSOR, and I'm ready to start the render, I'm able to see the SUBMIT button, but it seems to be inactive...
Probably u have already figured out the way to fix this issue...
please help guys, this is delaying my overall process so much!

Compressor don't works! I can't use the submit function because it doesn't work. Help me!
I removed compressor and Qmaster and re-installed them: in this way the submit function works and I can save the job on "this computer", but when I download the compressor's upgrade the submit function stops to work.
I'm sorry, I'm italian and my english is very bad!

Repost Function using Variable is not working

Hello experts! I am on BW-BPS 3.5. I have set up a repost function using variables to change a characteristic value for Business Unit.
1. I created 2 variables as Bus.Unit From and Bus.Unit To in the Planning Area. I am not using the variables in my planning level.
2. I entered the variables in the parameter group New Values area for the From and To Values.
3. My goal is when the user executes the Repost Function for a Variable Prompt should appear and have the user select the From Business Unit and To Business Unit.
The Variables are set up as USERVALUE User-Defined Values, Restriction of Values required by user and I have tried with/without option of Input Allowed by User.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong, I expected a variable prompt when executing the Repost Function but it does not work.

Ravi, Thank you for your reply however I contiue to have errors or the execution does not repost (change any value) as noted below.
1. I have 2 Variables in Planning area var1 (from) var2 (to) for the same charateristic which is Business Unit
2. Business Unit is in the level, on the selection tab to add the variable I can only add 1 variable, So I added var1 (from) to the level.
3. Parameter group for old and new values - I have Var1 (from), var2 (to)
4. Report Function - are you referring to Reporting variables in BPS? I have set this up as suggested in the "How to Use Reporting Variable in BW-BPS" document.
5. Enter plan data: I receive prompt for VAR1, mandatory. At this point there is no value in Var2.
6. Execute Repost function - I receive an error to "Restrict Var2"
7. If I set variable values and add a value for Var2 I receive an error "The generated data is not contained in the selection condition".
Next I removed VAR1 from my planning level and turned on the option 'Selection in package' for Business Unit. This seems to work well.
What do you recommend?

Compressor is not working. When I export to compressor from FCP to encode DVD, FCP freezes and Compressor appears to be working but the progress bar never fills no files are created. I'm using a MacBook Pro 10.6.7 version 2.66 GHz core 2 Duo 4GB 1067 MH

Do you have any filters applied to your clips?
This happened to me before, I accidently had applied a broadcast safe filter to a color matte that was black....
I figured it out by duplicating my sequence and deleting items from my timeline 1 by 1 until I was able to export a reference movie.
Anywho, export again, this time with "self contained" movie selected.
Then try to import to Compressor.

Compressor 3 not working after reinstall of FCS2

I'm having trouble with FCS 2 Compressor and Motion. My system was running a little slow so I did a uninstall using App Zapper to remove the suite. The installation went fine however when I tried to launch compressor it would quit before the splash screen comes up every time. He's what puzzles me the most I download the latest update to the suite and Compressor and Motion is not registering at all. It said Motion must be install I get the same message with Compressor also. Yet I can launch Motion and use it. Any ideals? I did a reinstall twice and even reinstalled , FCS1 then upgraded to FCS2 and compressor won't work on FCS1 either. Can someone direct me what to do or what software to get a clean uninstall. Everything works but Compressor. Have to get back to work will check later this morning.

I"m having the exact same problem... and from reading in forums the only idea is to re-install my OS. Backing up my Hard drive and updating is going to take a day - i'm not impressed with this idea.
Wondering if you have solved this issue or has anyone else.
Again the problem: Everything in FCP studio 2 works except Compressor. At first it wouldn't submit to Batch and NOW afterre-install attempts it won't even open gives the error:

Yah, I removed those files as per instructions on Apple's support page, assuming that a re-install would put them back.

For years FF has worked beautifully with Constant Contact. Now sevear function in CC will not work in the FF browser - they work in all other browsers. Help

Until one week ago, I had no difficulty or problems working Constant Contact while open in my Firefox browser. Now I have several with some functions in CC not working.
Inserting images, setting hyper links, changing background color - These are three necessary functions that I use in Constant Contact emails that no longer function when opening CC in Firefox browser - latest update was today 10/29/2013.
The function work in the Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers.
I have contacted Support at Constant Contact and the issue is not with their program.

Hi eaglegrafix, try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions (i.e., anything you don't think you'll need for 24 hours) and see whether that solves it. You can do that on the Add-ons page:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category ''(in the left column, click Extensions)''
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that help narrow it down?

The minimize function for Chrome is not working

Hello everyone,
since yesterday the yellow round icon (which allows you to minimize the window) on Google Chrome it turned grey and it's not working anymore. Also all the other ways to minimize windows are not working.
This is happening only with Chrome, and when I'm working with it the dock disappear...
How do I restore the minimize function for Chrome?

Java downloading function FtpClien.get() do not work in Solaris 10

I wrote a java ftp code using java class provided by sun (sun.net.ftp.FtpClient). It worked nicely in Solaris8. After new update from Solaris8 to Solaris10, this function does not work anymore. Specifically this function "TelnetInputStream in = ftpClient.get(remotefilename)" does not work. It stucks there forever enven without giving an exception. Does anyone know this problem?

Nudge function with arrows will not work in PS cs2

I recently installed photoshop cs2 on my pc with windows vista home premium. And the nudge function will not work using the arrows. Is there a work around for this?

Unfortunately the full thread recounting this saga got lost in the forum changeover, but the fake copies come in authentic looking shrink-wrapped boxes with printed documentation; and everything works except the nudge.

Compressor Does Not Work!

I have FCS2 and have upgraded everything. When I attempt to open Compressor it gets stuck at the opening pane. Before I upgraded it, it would get past that but all I saw was the top bar.
I have read several other posts and have done everything in the article that everyone refers to but it doesn't fix the problem.
I have a project to export in FCS2 and I am under a deadline. Can someone help?

I must admit guys and gals that I have also sufferred from Compressor and Motion not working at all. I have been on every thread, and followed instructions that I have seen many times on this forum, all to no avail. FCS2 has many problems, not with each application but with the way they integrate together.
I have tried talking to Apple, and even the business development manager for video products europe, and all I get is ignored. They just think the problem will go away, so if anyone from Apple is monitoring this thread, you hav ereally let us down.
Decided in the end to delete the whole lot and purchase Adobe Premier Pro, great product easy to install and works really well with all its little ad ons.
Its a shame as FCS2 is an amazing piece of software, but it was released to early before the bugs were sorted out....oh well never mind ( I do have FCS2 on my Intel Desktop and it works great, its just teh MacBook Pro)

Javascript functions to control QuickTime not working in Firefox

I am using the provided Javascript functions to control QuickTime (7.6.2); however, the functions are not working in Firefox (3.0.11), whereas they are working in Safari (4.0.1).
I create a QuickTime Player, as follows:

The Music.mp3 file starts playing in both Safari and Firefox; however, the Javascript functions to control that playing work only in Safari, not in Firefox.
Examples of QuickTime functions that work in Safari, but not in Firefox:

document.embeds["qtp"].GetTime();
document.embeds["qtpID"].GetQuickTimeVersion();
The GetRate and GetTime functions always return a "0" in Firefox, the Stop command is ineffectual in Firefox, and the GetQuickTimeVersion function aborts the Javascript code in Firefox.
Any ideas what's happening?

Dave, what you have done is very similar to what I have done, with the following exceptions:
1. I'm using the regular HTML version of QT_WriteOBJECT rather than the XHTML version.
2. My first parameter is an .mp3 file rather than a .mov poster in combination with an 'href'.
3. I'm not using some of your parameters, such as, 'target', 'targetcache', 'scale', 'href', and 'name'.
4. Instead of 'name', I'm using --- 'obj#id', 'qtp', 'emb#name', 'qtp' --- which allows me to then reference the QuickTime functions as --- document.qtp.Play(); document.qtp.Stop(); --- etc.
5. I'm not creating HTML buttons as player controls; rather I am using my javascript program to detect and control the player operation with functions such as --- document.qtp.GetRate(); document.qtp.GetTime(); document.qtp.GetDuration(); document.qtp.SetVolume(); document.qtp.SetMute(); document.qtp.Play(); document.qtp.Rewind(); document.qtp.Stop() --- etc.
6. I change my .mp3 files using --- document.qtp.SetURL();
7. All my javascript is contained in an iWeb HTML snippet using an iframe.
Essentially, I've created a jukebox with button images of album covers that can be visually scrolled and then clicked to play an album via the HTML onClick, onMouseOver, and onMouseOut functions.
This all works without a hitch in Safari; however, in FF, NN, and Opera, it only works if the iframe is completely visible on the screen. It can't be scrolled offpage, and the HTML album cover buttons in the iframe cannot be dimensionless, hidden, or blocked from view.
I really think it's the iframe that is causing this behavior in all the browsers (except Safari).
BTW, as an aside, I don't have a Windows machine, but no one I know using IE on a PC has been able to get my QuickTime Player working. I think it's because, when I want to collapse an album cover, I set its width to '1px' ('0px' works only in Safari), but I think IE may require a minimum width of '2px'. I have not tried changing my image widths to '2px' yet.

Search Function in Finder is not working

I'm a MacBook Pro User. The problem which I'm facing is with Finder Search function
Its search function is not showing any result. I tried with the know file name and with the known location, but its search command is not working.
eg: I created a doc file and saved it on desktop, then in finder search box I used the same name of the file which I saved on desktop, but its not showing any result.
I have huge amount of data on HD and I want to locate one file which is making my life miserable, and I can not bear my mac to add insult to my injury.

Hi,
Based on the error message, it is related to the item in your production environment, then the workflow will occur exception.
As your workflow worked perfectly in your other environments, I suggest you can check if some item has is valid in the document library.
You can try to use Fiddler to track the web request and find in which item the workflow occurs exception.

HT201401 Front camera on IPone 4s functioning but back camera not working

I bought a used IPone 4S , every thing is working as usual exceot Back camera which is not working.It shows black view
I want to replace it with a new camera , but i am not sure if the fault is in the camera or in the connection.

To rule out a software problem, set it up as new device without using the backup afterwards:

If the camera is not functioning after that, get the phone serviced. Opening the phone to repair the phone yourself can't be recommended. Once you have opened the phone, Apple will not service it anymore and you'll have to search for 3rd party repair shops.

LocalConnection to run a function in another .swf not working....

I'm trying to establish a LocalConnection so that I can communicate between my navbar & the main page on my website. Here is the code I have so far for the sending and receiving AS3 files, please let me know if you see anything out of the ordinary. The idea is that when you click on one of the icons on the navbar my "book" slides down to the center of the screen on the correct page. I actually have 4 buttons but only included the code I'm using for two in order to make this post shorter. The same idea is used for all four buttons though.

The reason I'm keeping track of whether the book is in the "up" or "down" is so that if it's in the down position already it doesn't re-tween back onto the screen. I am new to declaring and using variables; TweenLite; and LocalConnection so there is probably some simple problem with my AS3 code (although no errors are coming up in Flash). Any help would be much appreciated.

Alright I'm going to fix one problem at a time, starting with the LocalConnection. I've checked several websites for tutorials and examples but cannot seem to get it working properly. I'm just trying to run a simple function over it and can't get it working. Once I can get it working, I'll modify the rest of the code to do what I need. Right now I'm just trying to use it to run a function (slideServicesIn) in a seperate swf. file. I've checked and rechecked the code and just can't figure out why it's not working.
