Submit Trnsc in Background and know the Sucess/failure status

Hello All,
I need to submit a transaction with variants in the background. I need to knwo whether the transaction completed successfully or failed in my Program and then send an email to a list of people based on the status .
Can anyone tell me how to achieve this? How to know in the program that the transaction completed/failed?

If you had scheduled a transaction with some variants as a background job then I believe you should be able to see whether that is successful or not using transaction se37.
If you want to send an email of the output of that job then you may have to set up groups in lotus notes or outlook and the people in that group will receive an email when the job is succesfully finished or failed otherwise.
There is a FM which will help you to display the detail log of the background jobs. Do a displaylog* in se37 transaction.

Please clarify your "Elements 12". Is that as in Photoshop Elements 12 (photo editor) or Premiere Elements 12 (video editor). And, on what computer operating system is the program running?

please help. this issue prevents music from syncing. I have set the sync setting to convert songs to 192kbps AAC to save space, I figure that could slow the sync
down, but it's hanging indefinitely (I've left it for 24 hours with out it completing.)

Yeah it's pretty sad that $1000 phone they put out you such cheap memory It causes issues, I have iPhone 6+128 GB actually this is the second brand-new one they gave me because they keep affording it trying to act like that's not the issue because they're too stupid to know how to check what memory is in each one before they give it to me when I have told them multiple times my back up runs perfectly fine on two 5s phones and a 6 64GB of course running MLC memory.
I told them it's because just like the write ups say I have 809 apps but I have not even put all my music on the phone so I'm still running 50 to 60 gigs free and it crashes and reboots itself sometimes in multitasking and more often than it does that in between multitasking I get a black screen for 1 to 2 seconds in between apps and upon start up the Apple logo screen will flicker and do weird things, One of the genius idiots asked me if I could just delete some of my apps, really that's the answer to fix the phone the customer needs to limit the amount to apps they put on their phone, why the **** get a 128 gig if you can't put on anything you want to it guess they need to start selling them saying you can only put a limited number of apps on them, it's really is a **** joke, I have over $20,000 of Apple merchandise easily and always get the new phone every year but I'm starting to reconsider my decisions in the future because this company is starting to go downhill, The reason water not recalling the phones is because they're dealing with their top-of-the-line thousand dollar phones in this case and most people don't have over two or 300 apps so they're not having as many issues, so basically they have messed up phones they just don't know it in their hands and Apple is just too **** greedy to recall the phones, they'd rather sell customer spends that only work half ***.
Stuff like this will be the downfall of their company, all the people that stay with them because as long as you don't jailbreak their stuff it normally just works without issue will be soon jumping ship if stuff like this keeps up, because I can guarantee they got me thinking now.
not that I wanted to know or should I be expected to but I even offered for them to open up my brand-new phone and just replace the memory to MLC memory which is something I shouldn't have to do with a brand-new **** phone, they should just make one with the right memory and give me a new phone, actually just don't sell customers that buy the top-of-the-line phone from you trash ones in the first place that would be a great option.
what burns me up the most is when you talk to AppleCare and Genius Bar they try to act like the issue isn't there and they're unaware of it, they say that Apple hasn't come out with any information about it, yeah that's because they don't want to recall the trash.
Apple has became nothing better than your run-of-the-mill company, android is becoming just as good as they are sad to say this since I have been an Apple fan for so long but there is no excuse for BS like this they have been looking for options to fix my phone for a month now this is not the way you should treat loyal customers, I would've been better off keeping my 5S and in the future just switching to android.

I have a scenario a (first) proxy asynchronous to JDBC synchronous and then(second) proxy asynchronous.
my first proxy calls sends records (which has a status entry " in process" ) to JDBC it updates or inserts.
JDBC sends a response (may be a count of records updated or inserted)
now i need to handle some how to get the records which have been inserted or updated, so that i can map and change the table entry status field" in process" to " active".
Can i handle this without stored procedures.If so how
Can it be done through BPM where i retain inital mapping or any other solution. please help.

Ok (but that would be the apt method)
Some other approaches :
1. Make a async scenario (Proxy to DB), which will update or insert records. Write a trigger in DB which will fetch updated/inserted records and send it to XI. Then you update them in R/3 (via proxy). So you will have two async interfaces (one is Proxy to DB and other one DB to Proxy)
2. go for BPM. Receive (from proxy), transform sync send, transform send (to proxy) . I will not prefer this as it will be a performance hinderance.

Run VL06 in Background and getting the report in AL11

Hello ,
My requirement is as follows.
I need to develop a program which should VL06 tcode for Listing the Outbound deliveries in BACKGROUND with a specific variant and Layout and then the report data should be dumped to the given AL11 file path .No need to display the report.
I tried with Submit statement but here I can use the variant but not Layout option as Layout field is not the part of selection screen of VL06 tcode for lsitingthe outbound deliveries.
Can anybody please advice about how to proceed with this.

There is no layout selction option in the selectionscreen of the report.

Can we call a transaction in background and get the list in report?

I want to call the standard T-Code MC.9 from a report in background using Call Transaction and get the list in the report.There are some enhancement done to its base program RMCB0300 due to which if I use Submit ... exporting to memory and then import the list from memory, the result doesnt match to the values given by T-Code MC.9.
The option apparently for me is to use Call Transaction method, but if I use Call transaction method, how do I make the report to be executed in background and then get the resultant list in the report?

Copy the program in Z and than modify it saving the list on memory on database table.

Schedule job in background and ftp the data to non-sap system

I have a requirement where in i have to write a program(with selection screen) to download 2 files into application server(frequency: end of each day i.e daily at 23:59), and then in turn i need to put those two files into FTP server using FTP script.
i guess my flow of the code should be
1. write the program with selection screen and
2. get the data from corresponding tables and put it into internal tables.
3. then i have download the data into application server
my question is : how i will schedule the job in background to download the data into application server daily? using job_open, job_submit, job_close?
4. then how i need to move the files from application server to FTP server using FTP SCRIPT?
Also my doubt is once i execute the program ONLY, the background job is triigred (because i wrote job_open, job_submit and job_close inside my program). then how will i input the data into screen daily and download the data into application server in background automatically???? i am confused ...
Please help me to solve the above issues

So the path name and the file name are always the same? In that case you could simply create a SM49 entry with hard coded file & path name.

the standard SAP program creates invoice (billing document number). I want to get the billing document number which created using the above statement into the calling program. ......could anyone pls tell me how to do this? ie how to read the billing document number in the calling program.

Hi Shankar,
You can try it in both ways.
1.   By using the parameter ID VF. (GET PARAMETE ID)
2.   Select the invoice numbers from the table VBRK for the current date (SY-DATUM) and
       sort it by time and get the latest invoice.

Scheduling report in background and passing the necessary parameters

Using code (in a report1) ...i want to execute a report (report2) in background.....but at the same time i want to pass data (an internal table and a variable) to that report2.
is it possible to pass data like internal table to a executable report and at the same time pass the data to that report.

you mean to say that ..... report1 will place the file on application server with all the data that is required for report2...
and after scheduling report2 in background ,...... the report 2 must read the file and then delete it,,,,,
the data is extensive,,, i want to pass on 1,00,000 records to that report ,... so passing it via a dataset,,,wont hamper performance..??
Is there any other direct way to do it,,,,,,,??

Coincidentally I have had the same problem and I am also on Reliance network. I learnt the lesson in an expensive way (Read at Rs.17/min as this is the ISD rate of Reliance for calling to USA). I did mnp (mobile number portability, you oldie!) from Airtel to Reliance. So I had the inactive nano sim of Airtel. I took out the Reliance sim and inserted the Airtel sim into my iPhone 5s. By the time it was serching for the network, I quickly navigated to settings>phone and turned that damned dial assit off. That's it. Now when I inserted the Reliance sim and dialled the toll free numbers it was working perfectly, means free of cost. But I still wonder how come Reliance does not send the post call charge notification after the ISD calls? I had to call 198 to know about the balance deduction.
