Submitting transaction / master data through API without exposing DB credentials
I am developing a scenario where I will submit transaction / master data like sales order / master item to Oracle apps (EBS) through MS Excel via API / interface table but like to provide only apps (EBS) user credentials rather then DB credentials so DB password could not expose to normal end user. Please suggest something on same.

Sachin, you need a valid userid and password to connect to the database.
Since these APIs are defined under apps, you need apps password to execute them.
The workaround is that you define a new d/b userid.
Grant execute on the API (and other objects as necessary) to this user.
And then you call the api using the new userid and password.
This way you are not exposing apps password. But since this means you have to grant a number of accesses to this new user.
If you can use the interface tables, it becomes a little easier.
All you have to do is grant insert access on a handful of interface to this new userid. And then you schedule a concurrent program that will process the interface records.
If you absolutely can not expose ANY database password, then you can communicate with EBS using flat files. Your system creates a flat file on the server and a scheduled program in EBS reads the files and calls appropriate api.

To diagnose this problem, I would recommed that you try to connect with sqlplus from the machine where PHP is running.
Using your settings, the connection attempt should look like this:
sqlplus -L "user/pass@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=db0-srv.domain.edu)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=dw.domain.edu)))"
Try also from a client machine that is known to work with this database server.

Procedure for loading data through 0CO_OM_CCA_9 without taking downtime .

We have already maintained the flow from 0CO_OM_CCA_9 to Infocube 0COOM_C02 . Now i enhanced two fields in the datasource which i want to load into the cube . The infocube already contains data from 2008 onwards . Now i know that for controlling datasources SAP ECC/R3 downtime is not needed . Requirement is to load the historical data again for the two enhanced fields also from 2008 onwards .
Kindly let me know the steps for doing as the delta mechanism is already activated for this flow ?

I am able to create this in client 100 but not in 120. I created this program by copying the source code from sap note and run in test mode in client 100 of development server. I am getting the message that "there is no inconsistency in table BWMO2_TIMEST".
1. I am using client for loading data 120 not 100.

Becasue SAP BW already creates a Blank Line, it cannot create a new one again for you.
So, when you loaded the Blank like with description, it uses the existing blank line and creates test for it.
Each row in the table will have a SID.
e.g.,
12345 text1
23446 text2
You cannot have
12345 text1
12345 text2
If you load the above, you will have "12345 text2" in the table.
Same way, you cannot have two SIDs for the same key, so your new text is used for the existing Blank Key value.
SAP creates this:
Key, Description
when you loaded the Master Data, you have:
" ", "whatever you loaded".

I am facing problem in loading data in ap_invoices_all in R12 through API

Hi,
When I am trying to load data in R12 through API (ap_invoices_pkg. Insert_Row), I can see my record in base table ap_invoices_all but I can't find my record from frontend application.
MAGSA AP Supervisor -> Invoices -> Entry -> Invoices.
I will be very greatful if anyone can tell me the reason why I am not able to find my record.

The created program is not performing a command I have written when it tries to connect to the internet, it must be Labview that is doing it. How do I stop this from happening?

Problem in submitting job through Pl/sql

I have a procedure with parameters as shown below.
Pkg1.Proc1(indate date, innum1 number, innum2 number)
I am trying to execute this procedure by submitting jobs through another procedure and passing the parameters dynamically. I found the jobs are not getting submitted. Please see the code inside the procedure as below.

I have tried as following also

For example in production server if we need to change / replace some context parameters OR adding one more row in decision table / or any other change.

Sorting While maintaining data through SM30

Hi Techies,
I have developed a z-table with key fields a,b & c. Now when I am entering data through SM30, C(Char field) field is getting sorted after saving.
My requirement is to store the data in table without any sorting. Actually this field C has some sequencing issue. So, Is there any event for table which can be used to resolve this issue.
Note: I have already tried Event 01 by creating a new include and giving my ID breakpoint. But its noty trigerring .
Any advice would be deeeply appreciated.

Actually The field 'C' mentioned above contains the name of chemical compounds. I am fetching this data from databse and displaying in printout. In printout the user wants the field 'C' should get displayed accoridng to Chemical Sequence.
Currently the data in Legacy system is stored in that manner. I just wanted to know if v can restrict the sorting of field C, Than i dont have to write extra logic for displaying data in printout.
Hope you understand the exact issue.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Note: yes i checked in SE16, SE16N & SE11, but same issue.
