  • I want buy Ipad Wi-Fi 3g in Canada Apple Store. Is it have micro-sim slot for using 3g abroad?

I want buy Ipad Wi-Fi 3g in Canada Apple Store. Is it have micro-sim slot for using 3g abroad? In Ukraine being exact.

    Lets make it clear.
The thing is i know that in the US Ipad 2 Wi-Fi+3G Verizon goes without any slot for micro-sim. So i won`t be able to use 3g abroad.
In Canada store they don`t give no required carrier.Does it mean that Ipad 2 Wi-Fi+3G from there has a micro-sim slot and is ok for using 3g worldwide with local carrier?

  • How to sync an iPad that was set up at Apple Store?

My wife bought our iPad2 and had the Apple staff set it up for her at the Apple Store.
Since then, we have downloaded many apps directly on the iPad without connecting to iTunes.
When I tried to download some new apps, the iPad says it requires iOS5.
But when I tried to download iOS5 via our iTunes, it says I must connect my iPad to the computer that I sync'ed with originally.
The trouble is that the iPad has never been sync'ed with our iTunes before.
    My questions are:
Do I need to take it back to the Apple Store to get it updated?
There is no way to find out which computer the Apple Store staff used to set up our iPad.
So even the Apple staff would need to do the update via a different computer.
If I do a sync and upgrade like that, will I lose everything currently on the iPad?
How can I make sure everything is backed up before my upgrade?
If my iPad is not paired up with my iTunes, how do I do the backup?
I thought about using iCloud, but I don't want to pay for the service beyond the initial free allocation.
I heard that for iOS5 devices, first 5GB is free on iCloud.
But I don't think 5GB is enough to back up the data from my 64GB iPad.
So I guess I must make my iPad work with my iTunes.
Any suggestions and clarification would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Okay! I have completed all the step your outlined and I have verified that the App Sync'ed and the iPad backed up. However, when I opened my Books library on my iTunes, the free pdf files that I have downloaded on the iPad are not sync'ed to the iTunes. When I checked Sync Books under the Books tab of my iPad, it prompts "Are you sure you want to sync books? All existing songs, movies and TV shows on the iPad "My iPad" will be removed." Obvious, the sync tries to match the empty content of my iTunes library with the iPad. I believe if I click "Sync", all my book contents on my iPad will be all gone. These .pdf files were free downloads and they were not purchased from iTune Store. So how to I back them up or move them into the iTune library? Can I mount the iPad as an external disk and copy these files over? Where will they be stored on the iPad. I click on "Books" listed under My iPad, it has an export command. I exported it and it seems to only output a text file containing only the list of books and not the contents of these books.
I was able to copy the photos I took on the iPad to the iPhoto on my computer. But it is an iPhoto import function, not a iTune function. Can I do something similar to the Books on my iPad?
Now I have an iTunes that is paired with my iPad, but the iPad's media contents are not on the iTunes.
i.e. if I sync'ed everything all my media contents may be wiped clean.
Besides, my initial goal is to upgrade my iPad to iOS5 without losing its existing contents.  Whenever my iPad is connected to the iTunes, a message pops up that says "A new iPad software version (5.1.1) is available for the iPad "My iPad". Would you like to download it and update your iPad now?" When I click on the "Download and Update" button, another warning pops up that says "Updating to iOS 5.1.1 will delete all of the media, including iTunes Store purchases, on your iPad. To perserve your content, apply this update on the computer where you sync music, videos, and photos."
I dare not click the "Update" button because all of my iPad contents are not in my iTune library. So the contents may be inside the Backup that I did in step 4 of your instructions. But I am taking a big risk, because it is is not, then I'll lose all my media contents.
    I need to know:
Is there a way to transfer media contents, e.g. downloaded free pdf files (books) to my computer before I upgrade my iOS from 4 to 5?

  • I have tried to ask for a refund in apple store but after clicking on 'Report a problem' at the corresponding purchase I wasn't routed to Apple's website. Could you help?

I have tried to ask for a refund in apple store for an application that I downloaded by mistake. It works only for iPad and iPhone and not for my mac.But after clicking on 'Report a problem' at the corresponding purchase I wasn't routed to Apple's website. Could you help?

    Hi Peggy,
There's an endless combination of Internet plugins that you might need for a particular website, from Flash to Java, to Windows Media to some other streaming/media protocol. Probably what's helpful here is either of the name of the plugin that you're being asked for or the website(s) you're accessing that require them. I suspect it's probably a media plugin, like Flash, Windows Media or some DivX type plugin but that's just a guess with the information provided.

  • ITunes account to pay for gift apps and Apple Store items

Is there a reason why i cannot use my iTunes account funds to pay for gifted apps and Apple Store items?
    it only make sense.

You can use your iTunes Store balance to purchase from the Mac App Store, but not from the Apple Online Store.
From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4463, "Note: If you have an existing credit balance on your iTunes Store account, that balance will be shared across the iTunes Store and Mac App Store."

  • ITunes movies no longer sync from Dell laptop or MacBook Pros (both authorized devices) to iPhone 6s or iPad Air 2s after configured at Apple store yesterday.  In the past I could see the movies in iTunes with the cover photo and sync.

iTunes movies no longer sync from Dell laptop or MacBook Pros (both authorized devices) to iPhone 6s or iPad Air 2s after configured at Apple store yesterday.  In the past I could see the movies in iTunes with the cover photo and sync to the other devices but now there is a listing a movies with no cover photos and in fact if I try to view the movie on the MacBook Pro it cannot be found unless I download it.

All I had to do was complain.  I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store.  I have no idea why.

My stops because of the wrong answer to the secret question, and I want to use it for evil application from Apple Store?

    Hello mr sami,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your security questions.  I found an article with some useful information if you cannot remember the answers to your security questions:
What should I do if I don't remember the answers to my Apple ID security questions?
Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.
If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID passwordsign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password
contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.
Note: If you have forgotten your password and answer your security questions incorrectly too many times in a row, you will be unable to try to answer your security questions for a period of time. During that time you will not be able to reset your password and will not have access to your account.

  • HT204053 I would like to have one apple ID and sign in for the Australian Apple Store and for the New Zealand Apple Store without it asking me to switch stores. Is this possible?

I would like to have one apple ID and sign in for the Australian Apple Store and for the New Zealand Apple Store without it asking me to switch stores. Is this possible? If not can I setup two stores (one in each country) using the same email address and same password (both and / or either)?

An iTunes account can only be used in one store at a time, and you need to be in that country with a valid billing address on your account for that country in order to use it there. An email address can only be linked to one account, so if you want two separate iTunes accounts then you will need two email addresses

  • IPad security When taking to the Apple store for repairs

I'm taking my iPad to the Apple store today. I'm logged onto most of my social sites, etc. How do I make my iPad secure so no one looks at my photos or any other info like my emails when it goes in for repair.

Granted my experience was best buy, not an apple store, but I returned my iPad a couple of years ago because it had an issue. Best Buy exchanged it and before I gave them my old one I asked and they let me go in and 'erase all content and settings', which wiped it clean.
Apple and Best Buy do have strict rules about customer data but they don't and can't make promises, probably due to liability issues. So doing it yourself is the one way to make sure, and I have yet to run into any store person that wouldn't allow the user to wipe the device.
If the employee balks, ask to talk to a manager and just tell them you want it wiped. You should have no issue at all. Honestly, I don't think they want access to your data any more than you want them to have it.

  • Can I trade in my iPad 2 for the air through Apple?

Can I trade in my iPad 2,for the iPad Air trough apple?

Apple does not have a trade-in program.

  • What will the shipping package look like for an IPad I ordered online from the Apple Store?  The reason I'm curious is because it's going to be a gift.

I'm curious as to what kind of packaging a gift I ordered online from the Apple store will come in.  It's going to be an IPad, and I don't want it to be too obvious what the item is, just in case the recipient sees the package.  I'm hoping it's in a brown cardboard box.

Mine shipped in a standard brown box. Inside was the white Apple retail packaging for the iPad.

  • Had a problem with my iPad 2 and took it into apple store to get it restored to factory settings. I now need to restore from iTunes but can't see my iPad when connected via USB, any ideas please?

Help !! I had a problem with my iPad 2 this morning which resulted in me taking into the apple store and them restoring it to factory settings. They advised me to restore all my apps etc from iTunes which I am trying to do, however once connected via the USB I cannot see it as a device on iTunes, and I keep getting the message on my laptop "the iPad cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 11.1 or later, go to iTunes.com/uk and download the latest version"
I cannot see what the version of iTunes is on my iPad and have gone into safari to try and download but not able to as it tells me iTunes is already loaded. I have the latest version on my laptop  so I am stuck as to what to do next.  Any suggestions please??

  • Refurbished iPad not working right - return to Apple store?

Hey guys -- Simple question here but one I didn't see on a quick search.
Picked up a refurbished iPad 2 on May 10th.  The other day when I picked it up while playing a YouTube video, the screen faded to black quickly, almost like I'd hit the power button.  Didn't think much of it.  However, tonight, it's doing it again, and I'm able to duplicate it every time.  If I have the iPad in landscape mode and laying flat on a surface, with the home button to the right, and I lift up on the top edge, the screen will immediately fade to black and wait a few seconds before I can turn it back on again.
I do use this for my job (sound tech) so I definitely need it to be reliable, and now I'm a bit concerned about it.  I'd like to get it taken care of locally if possible so that I'm not without it as long for work, and there's an Apple store fairly close (MacArthur Mall, Norfolk, VA).  But since I purchased it on Apple's site, am I going to have to deal with them, or can they take care of things at the store?  I can't imagine they have a pile of refurbs to swap it out with.
If I do have to go through the online store, has anyone dealt with them who can tell me an estimated real-life return time?  I need to know if I should buy another iPad to get me through the next few jobs or if this will be back quick enough.
    Thanks!

You do not have to go through the online store. You can go to an Apple Retail Store. It still has warranty so ou are entitled to a free replacement if the Apple Store Genius is not able to fix the problem.
