[subpanel labview 8.0] Another problem of subpanel...

       Hello,
    My problem is quite common, I want to add to a main
program a subpanel connection and when the execution inside this one is
complete catch the output cluster I've done inside the subpanel... I've
seen a solution on the forums (see here) to catch the value of a control, but it doesn't work !
    My subpanel program is as simplest as possible :
It's just a global while loop which contains some control where the
user is asked to enter some characteristics of an experiment. When the
data are entered, He must press a "check data" button to verify the
data entered... The SubVI is attached...
       Can somebody help me please...

Hi,
You have already received the answer through the AE E-mail support but I'll post the answer here too.
The VI below shows how to exchange data between the subVI and the MainVI trough VI server.
The Error in your program was actually that you didn't uncheck the "Lock Front Panel" feature in the Event Case.

Labview slider event handling problems

Hi,
I've faced problems while working with sliders, which values are passed to serial device. I am using events, and here is a problem: if i use "Value changed" event and change slider position by moving a mouse, the event is generated a few times (i.e. event is triggered by every single value on a slider). It means, that I have to transmit intermediate values to my serial device in order to set the last one. I tried to change event "Value changed" to "Mouse Up", but there was another problem: the value doesn't change if mouse leaves control element area (i.e., "mouse up" is generated as VI event, not as slider event). It would seem to be OK, but slider position is already changed, and there is no other variable which stores
value of current slider position! I mean that value and slider position are different and I don't know how to synchronize them. Using "Mouse Up" event for whole VI is not a good solution for me, because I have multiple sliders to control separately.
How to create non-redudand and efficient slider handling? Any ideas?

You need a 2 states machine. First state waits for "Value Changed". Once a change is detected, you know that the user is editing the slider and the mouse is currently used to move the slider. Second state waits for "Mouse Up" to latch the actual value of the slider.

iTunes is a mess! It couldn't find it's own libraries and I was forced to create a new one. Now I don't know where my music is or if any's missing.

Why not simply make a playlist with the songs you want on the iPhone?

Teststand generates error ' labview has encountered a problem and needs to close'

Hi,
I am using Teststand 3.1 and Labview 7.1.
My problem is that I have a 1D array of 6 elements in Labview that I need to receive from Teststand.
If the array size is set to variable in Labview there is no problem but if I set it to what I require ( fixed 6 ) then when I specify module in Teststand an error message appears , ' LAbview.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close '. Then I get an 18001 about ActiveX as labview has closed.
Why does this happen ?, is it a bug ?

The vi writes to a global variable.
The 'Bytes To Send ' 1D array seems to be the trouble, If its set to fixed 6 in LV then Labview crashes from Teststand when I specify module.
If its set to variable its ok.

Step by step, how did you arrive at seeing this agreement?

New software update still not downloading. Apps updates have all downloaded since iTunes issue resolved. Is the software issue also related to this, or is there another problem? This is on my iPhone 6, not my Mac.

Trying to download the iOS 8.2 software update on my iPhone 6, but it won't update. All app updates have resolved since the iTunes issue was resolved. Is the software update issue related to this as well, or is it another problem entirely?
I've synced it to iTunes, turned it off/on, etc., but still not downloading.

So is the iOS 8.2 update not downloading to your iPhone, computer or both?
You have synced it to iTunes, that is an option to update if it's not updating wirelessly. Please see if other steps help.

Another problem with SOAP sender

I have another problem with SOAP scenario in a different environment (PI 7.0) from my earlier post.
Scenario:
Soap Sender -> PI -> Soap Receiver
Following steps from GoogleSearch SOAP scenario in the SAP How-to Guide for SAP NetWeaver '04 entitled: "How To... Use the XI 3.0 SOAP Adapter" version 1.00 - March 2006.
I have loaded in the api.google.com/GoogleSearch.wsdl file as an External definition and created the SOAP receiver as described in the How-to guide. It takes a doGoogleSearch as input and sends back a doGoogleSearchResponse (Sync Call).
Note that the GoogleSearch.wsdl contains a complex type ResultElementArray that refers to ResultElement\[\], and a DirectoryCategoryArray that refers to DirectoryCategory\[\]. The ResultElement and DirectoryCategory types are defined in the GoogleSearch.wsdl file.
Problem One:
The generated WSDL for the SOAP sender contains the ResultElementArray and DirectoryCategoryArray types but it DOES NOT contain the required ResultElement and DirectoryCategory types. XML Spy complains that this WSDL is not valid because the type ResultElement\[\] is not defined.
Problem Two:
I generate a SOAP message in XML Spy, provide values for the doGoogleSearch fields, and send. In SXMB_MONI, the SOAP sender payload contains only the <key> value from the doGoogleSearch message body, i.e. <part name="key" type="xsd:string" />

I am trying to compile my FPGA code which has previously compiled. I get this error.
"Labview FPGA called another software component, and that component returned the following error:
Error Code: -52009
NI Platform Services: The requested resource has been marked for deletion and is rejecting new requests."

I've been looking in to this for you today - unfortunately, that seems to be a really rare error code which doesn't come up very often on our systems, so there's no quick fix that I can find.
A couple of options:
1) Have you made any changes to the code recently, in terms of updating it from an earlier version of LabVIEW? If so, it may be worth mass compiling your project up to the latest version in case there are references to software components which no longer exist.
2) It's probably worth a try repairing your LabVIEW, FPGA and RIO drivers installations from disk, as described here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/FE6B641E86E55AF2862576DE00038001?OpenDocument
This could be due to some kind of missing or corrupted component in, for example, the Xilinx Tools
3) Are you referencing any kind of external software, such as DLLs or third party instruments, in your file?
4) What hardware are you using?

Load default configuration in BIOS to fix sound, caused another problem

Hey !
I have had problem to get sound in my T61, and used Lenovo support, Troubleshooting, to fix it.
I did as it told in Lenovo Support.
In BIOS Setup utility menu setup I pressed F9.
Then I selected YES to load the default configuration.
After that I pressed F10 key and YES to save the configuration.
But after that when I start the computer it says that a failur has occured, and windows has shot down to avoid problems with the computer.
Is there any way of going back in the BIOS setup, so I should get it work again ?

I went to a company, and they fixed it, Don't ask me how ! I did not understand when they described it.
Anyway I have another problem with the sound, as you can see in the other message !
They tried to fix that to, but could not solve the problem.

WLC and windows radius issue and another problem

Hi everyone.
We have a problem with a costumer wireless infraestructure which has a WLC using a Windows 2003 radius server. for authentication.
The users can't connet to the SSID from monday. Anything haven't been changed and the configuration is correct.
I think its a client problem because the clients who use Linux can connect.
Any idea?
I have attached a debug dot1x events when a windows client try to connect.
We have another problem with another SSID using local wpa2/pkm/ascii authentication..
This SSID is used for smartphones. The clientes who use Android can connet, the clients who use IPhone can't.
Is this a cospiracy? xD

for the debug you attached, I see the client send an EAPOL start message, after it gets the Identity request. It seems to move beyond that, and then

Labview slider event handling problems - revisited

This topic asked a question that was very close to a problem I am having:
Labview slider event handling problems
That is, how do I, using an event structure and/or other means, only read out the value of a slider control after the value change is finalized?
The extra constraint I'd like to place on this, which I believe will invalidate the answer given in the thread above, is that my slider control also has a digital display which can also be used to change the value without ever using the mouse. I cannot look for a value change followed by a mouse-up event if the mouse was not used to change the value.
Any ideas how this might be accomplished? FWIW, I am using LabVIEW 7.0

Each and every incremental value-change event generated by the movement of the slider is still detected and queued up for use by the event structure and the event structure loop wades through them all before it's done.
I have come up the attached "fix" (LV v7.0) for this problem. While it is not as clean a solution as I had hoped it would be, it's the best I can manage given what LabVIEW offers me to work with and it does work in the situation where I need to use it.
Now, within the Finalize Slider Events subVI, I'm keeping track of the most-recent values seen by the subVI, checking to see if they have changed, and reporting out that fact. That gives me a Changed/Not-Changed bit within the event case that I can use to control what code then gets executed. If the event case is just playing catch-up to the real value of the control, I can now see that fact and ignore it.
In this version I've also dumped the variant output and limited the VI to using DBL values. I decided it added complication to something that was too complicated already and I wanted the output terminals for other purposes anyway (reporting of the correct "OldVal" of the control).Message Edited by Warren Massey on 04-28-2005 03:56 AM
