Subscribe Calendar Event Details Missing

I have a new problem with one of our office iCals. We publish the HR calendar on the server, and everyone subscribes to it. Problem being that when someone new subscribes, they get all the events, but the events are blank. It shows the time span that the event occurs, but there is no title or description.
I went to other computers and verified this is the case. The calendar is working for anyone who already had it, and they can refresh and see full event detail.
To test the problem I had a user that already had it working go to a computer where it wasn't and subscribe with his authentication, thinking maybe it was user-related, but when he subscribed on that machine the same thing occurred, he got the events, but they are blank.
Anyone have a clue what this is?

Figured it out. For some reason the publisher's settings lost the checkbox that stated "Publish Event Titles" or something like that. Definitely weird.

  • Subscribing calendar events without using impersonate or delgae access

    Hi,
Is there any way to subscribe calender/mailbox event for each outlook user without using impersonate or delegate access approch.
if yes, please share how it can be done, as i found only impersonate approach or delegate acess.
if no, please share the best possible solution to subscribe calendar events for each outlook user.
I am new to exchange server developement, so do not know much.
    Thanks
    Nitin

It depends what you mean by subscribe calender/mailbox event ?
For you to access a mailboxes calendar folder using any exchange API you need to have rights to it so you will need to either use Impersonation or Delegate access. You can modify the default ACL on the Calendar folder which give Everyone access eg
http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/29939-change-default-outlook-calendar-access-permissions-in-exchange-2010 . To access a folder you have rights to you just use the Mailbox overload of the folderId class
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/gg274408(v=exchg.80).aspx
The other way of veiwing limited calendar information is to use the GetUserAvailability operation
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/hh532567(v=exchg.80).aspx with this you can view calendar event details (if this permission is shared to you)

  • All my calendar events are missing!!! help!

All my calendar events are missing....can anyone help?  Iphone 4s

If you are syncing your calendar with a supported program like Outlook using iTunes, just sync them back.  If not, all you can do is restore your phone from the backup created the last time you synced your phone.  Note: this will revert all your data and settings to those contained in the backup, not just your calendar.  Be sure to import any recent photos to your computer before doing so or you will lose them.
If you want to do this, prior to connecting your phone, open iTunes and go to Preferences.  On the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically."  Then connect your phone, when it appears on the left sidebar in iTunes, right-click on its name and select Transfer Purchases (to transfer any recent purchases to your iTune library).  Then right-click again and choose Restore from backup.

Outlook is a mail client for PC's (and Macs). It is not a type of account. Do you mean an "Exchange Account"?
If so, then re-add it. The calendar events live on the Exchange Server. The only way to get them back is to re-add the account to the phone. The contents of Exchange and IMAP accounts are not part of the 'backup' as they already exist elsewhere.

  • How do I get subscribed calendar events to show on my iPhone 4?

I have a subscribed calendar in iCal on my desktop that shows up in the list of iCloud calendars on my iPhone, but none of the events actually show up on my iPhone even though that calendar is selected to show its events.  How can I fix this?  It's really strange that my phone "sees" the calendar, but won't show the events that are in it!  Very frustrating!
I've already tried unsyncing and resyncing all of the calendars on my iPhone (i.e. I turned off iCloud calendar syncing, deleted all calendar info on my iPhone, then turned iCloud calendar syncing back on).  No luck.

I had a similar issue.  Basically, I gave up trying to "sync" that particular calendar with my iPhone and instead subscribed to the subscribed calendar directly on the iPhone.
To do this, you have to essentially set up a new "account" in the Mail/Contacts/Calendars settings.  Go to Add Account > Other, and selecte Add Subscribed Calendar at the bottom.  Paste in the URL of the calendar you wish to subscribe to, and it should be added to your calendar.  Best part is that it will automatically update as the calendar publisher updates it.  Be sure to disable that calendar in iCloud, too btw.

  • How can I view attachments in Calendar Event Details

I want to be able to see attachments in my Calendar's Event Details on my iOS7 iPhone. Is there a way to do this without going to my INBOX to find the invite?
    Thanks,
    Scott

    Cheers Mate!
Sounds like a major stuff up on apple's behalf as this feature has been announced widely (incl their own webpage) sand is even included in the official release notes of the install file(!!)

  • The URL field for iPhone Calendar Events is missing?

iCal on my Mac and my MobileMe Calendar both include a URL field for Events. I don't see the URL field on my iPhone Calendar events??? Am I missing something. I can't automatically have that link sync from iCal or MobileMe? I don't want to always have to manually move the URL into the Notes field.
This is a very annoying - Apple can figure out fancy Multi-tasking and App Folders for iPhone OS 4 but couldn't figure out how to add a simple URL field for Calendar Events??

    And your question is?

  • X-APPLE-DEFAULT-ALARM to remove default alarm from iOS 6 subscribed calendar events?

After upgrading to iOS 6, all events in subscribed calendars get a default alarm. Is there a directive inside the .ics stream that can stop this from happening?
Searching the web I found an “X-APPLE-DEFAULT-ALARM:TRUE” directive but it doesn’t seem to work and I can’t find any Apple documentation on it. Can you direct me to the full list/documentation of iOS 6 supported “X-APPLE“ extensions to iCalendar?
    Thanks!

OK, so I have had this issue for the past several months. I think it all started when I upgraded to ML from SL and migrated my calendars and contacts to iCloud. That was a couple months ago. But now I am running 10.8.2, and about two weeks ago I upgraded my iOS devices to 6.0.1.
I don't seem to be having any issues with events that I create now, but all those old events that were migrated to iCloud a couple months ago, many of those sound alerts on the iOS devices even though there was no alert defined when the event was originally created. I have always had alerts off by default both in iCal and on the iOS devices.
So here's the question: is there a way to go through and disable all these spurious event alerts? I've been disabling them as the event reminders come up, but it's irritating. It would be nice if there was a way to turn them off all in one shot somehow.

  • Subscribed calendar events not as busy

Hi, when i wanna subscribe to a calendar, is there a way to show its events not as busy, but as free? Or does this have to be setup by the person who created/published the calendar/events?

    Already resolved!
Turns out that the email also contained an address. Since the address was not on new lines; the location in the event had new lines coded in it. Exchange doesn't like this!
So; copied the address in the event; cleared it, pasted it back (removes line breaks?!) and then wahoo: sync!

  • Calendar event details window size

I would like the ability to expand the fixed size of an event details. Currently when you double click to open the details of an event in the Calendar (v7 on OSX), the pop up overlay is constrained to a very small size. I want the ability to expand the small window with all of the details to the size I like. More than happy to pay to get this done.

I'm new to Mac and thought I was just doing something wrong.  I can't believe I'm unable to stretch the size of the event window.  Some calendar-invites have a large amount of content.  Scrolling through the tiny event window is extremely painful.

  • Can Not Remove "with" Data from Calendar Event Details

I currently have a Palm Tungsten|E2. For a short time I used to sync it with my work computer; this was before they replaced the computer (lease was up) with a new one where it was locked down and I could not reinstall the Palm desktop. Since then I have been syncing it with my home computer that runs MS Vista. Just recently I have noticed that when I create new Calendar events on my Palm, they all get a new "With:" data line (and a user from my old job) after sync'ing with my home computer. Selecting this "With:" entry brings me to a screen that allows me to select from a list of people I may "Done", "Reply", or "Reply All" to; although selecting either reply only causes a fatal error that requires a soft reset (button on back of machine). Looking at the event through the desktop software shows no data point so that it may be cleaned.
I would like to know why my desktop software is adding this person to a "With:" data point to all new entires I create on the Palm hardware, how do I turn it off and keep it from doing it in the future.

Are you sync'ing the new device to the same username in Palm Desktop as an older device?
If you are, this will cause problems on the new device. When you sync the device, it saves the device settings, 3rd party apps, preferences, etc. in the backup folder in the username folder on the PC. When you sync the new device it copies the contents of the backup folder for the old device to the new device. This will cause corruption in the settings for the new device thus causing erratic behavior of the new device.
The best way to preserve your data is to export the data in each category in Palm Desktop to a seperate folder on your PC.
Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that is convenient. Name it something like Palm Desktop Data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on that page for the export procedure.
    http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=28734
Make sure you select all for the range in the export window.
With the data saved in the folder you created, make a copy of that folder and save to a flash drive, cd-rw or external hard drive.
Anytime you make a change in Palm Desktop, export the data that was changed to that folder and save again to the external media.
With this process you can always import the data back into Palm Desktop anytime you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop or if your computer/hard drive/device crashes.
    Looks like you may need to hard reset your device and rename your backup folder. Go to http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=887 and follow the directions to do a hard reset. Next before you hotsync your data back over you will need to rename your backup folder, to do that go here;
    XP
C:\program files\palm or palm one\[hotsync username]\ and rename your backup
    folder to backup.old
    Vista
Start-->documents\Palm OS Desktop\[hotsync username]\ and rename your backup
    folder to backup.old
Then hotsync to your current hotsync name and all your contacts, calendar,
tasks, and memos will come back over.
Show file extensions for XP or Vista
    XP
If you can not view file extensions on your PC I would like you to open a
folder go to Tools-->Folder Options--> View (tab) and under show hidden
files and folders uncheck hide file extensions for known file types.
    Vista
Open control Panel go to Folder Options--> View (tab) and under show hidden
files and folders uncheck hide file extensions for known file types.

  • Calendar events overview missing

    Hi,
what I liked about my Torch 9810 is that it showed me the next couple events I had in my calendar in the lock screen / in the first screen befor going into the apps list screen.
Now this one seems to be missing, I do not know what comes up, 'till I go into the calender.  or is there a way to get that back like older Blackies?
    Cu, Torben

I beleive that functionality is coming with OS 10.2. However, you can view upcoming events in the Hub by swiping down at the top of the message list while in the hub.

  • Please help, my calendar events are missing from iphone, ipad, and icloud that were there last week

I use the calendar on my iphone and I pad for my entire life, including work, everything for my boys and all of my hubbys appointments.
Last Friday was the last time that I inputed appointments into my calendar and everything previous was in there and on my ipad and icloud.
I went in this morning to check an appointment time for something next week and found that 99% of the events that I had scheduled since the beginning of the year are missing. And they are missing from my iphone, my ipad, my icloud, and no longer in my Yahoo calendar.
I am drfinately in a panic, i need these ....
    Has anyone had this problem?
Can anyone tell me how to get them back please

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Check you aren't hiding them.
i.e. on the phone settings > mail, contacts, calendars > calendars > sync.

  • IOS 4 breaks CalDAV calendars (events are missing)

I can successfully connect to my CalDAV server on my iPhone. The list of calendars, including delegates, show up in Calendar with their assigned calendar colors. Unfortunately, no events are visible. If I create an event on my iPhone, it is successfully published to my server and will also show up in iCal on my Mac and my web client. The event then disappears from my iPhone.
iCal has no problem with my calendar server and my iPhone synchronized with it just fine before iOS 4.
Google Calendar via CalDAV works fine.
    Calendar server: SOGo (http://www.sogo.nu/english.html)
    Phone: 3GS with iOS 4

The "All Events" hack no longer works for SOGo in iOS 4. I found the reference to making it work on 3.1.2:

  • Some iPhone Calendar Events missing

Have MobileMe (formerly Mac.com) for several years. Since last fall (2009) have tried to trust the 'Cloud' syncing Contacts and Calendars over the air. Worked for the most part. Lately have seen missing items or events on Calendar.
Notice today that several calendar events are missing on the iPhone 3G (3.1.3). However, on MobileMe (using Firefox on a PC), the Calendar appears to be accurate as well as iCal on the iMac. Turned off the calendars in the Settings and then turned them back on, but to no avail. This is weird, because Contacts do not appear to be affected. Anyone else having issues. Thanks, Todd

    Ah, I figured it out.
Under Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/Calendars - there is a 'Sync' action that allows for 'Events' to be sync'd '2 Weeks Back', '1 Month Back', '3 Months Back', '6 Months Back' or ' All Events'. Originally, I had '1 Month Back' checked and thus older events did not show on the iPhone.
I checked the 'Events 6 Months Back' and it brought in older events from iCal and MobileMe Calendar.
