Subscription isn't recognised

I used to buy credit as required but then realised I could buy a one-year subscription. All well and good except now I cannot make any calls within Australia and Skype insists on telling me I need to renew my credit via a pop-up window from the application. It doesn't seem to matter what type of phone number I call, regular landline, mobile or 1300 numbers. How do I get Skype to recognise that I currently have around 110 minutes available to me according to my account page?

I think this page page from the Skype support website may help ;

  • IPod Nano 4th gen - screen flickers, won't turn on, isn't recognised by computer or iTunes.

My 4th gen iPod Nano has been playing up.
When I connect it to my computer or a dock, the screen flickers with the Apple logo. Once unplugged, it won't turn back on and the screen goes completely black. I tried to reset it numerous times (both connected and unplugged) but that didn't help at all.
I tried to see if I could fix it by restoring it and putting it in disk mode, but the iPod isn't recognise by any of the computers in my house and doesn't appear in either iTunes or 'My Computer' so that really doesn't help. I'm positive it's not an issue with my computer or USB cable because the other iPods in my house connect just fine.
Any idea on how to fix this?

If you have synced your iPod touch to a computer, it should be relatively easy to fix.  Plug the iPod into the computer to which it is synced.  Once plugged in, hold the home (square button on front) and the power button on the top for approximately 10-15 seconds.  After the apple disappears from your screen a couple times, a new screen will popup indicating to start iTunes on your computer.  Once you start iTunes, you will be given the option to begin the restore mode and then choose to restore your particular iPod.  Once again, you have to had synced your iPod to a computer to utilize this option.  Not sure how I figured it out, but I finally did!  Good luck and let me know if it does/doesn't work for you.

  • My Iphone 3 8gb isn't recognised by my PC or Itunes

I have been given an Iphone 3 by my friend who no longer used it has they had upgraded to an Iphone 4
I am having a problem that when I plug it into the USB of my PC it isn't recognised by both the PC and Itunes
On the Iphone screen all I get is No Service and an Itune icon with a USB lead pointing to it.
I can only make emergency calls.
I am new to Iphones so would be really grateful if someone with some knowledge of this problem could help me out.
    Thanks
    Steve

Thanks for replying but unfortunately this hasn't resolved my problem
I have very little charge on my phone and even though it is plugged into the mains it doesn't appear to be charging if that makes any difference

Maybe because it's not a 'genuine' retail version? Many OEM versions just don't work - and I've no idea which flavor of Win7 your friend downloaded. Obviously one that Boot Camp doesn't recognize. Best to just pony up the cash for a full retail version, of some flavor - and use it. You COULD, of course, download the 14-day trial version of Parallels Desktop and see if you can install Win7 as a virtual machine... it might or might not work. Boot Camp just isn't finding the resources it needs on the copy you have - try Parallels and if that doesn't work just purchase a retail (or student discounted) version.

  • IPad isn't recognised by computer and no longer charges

I can't update to ios5 as my ipad2 isn't recognised by the computer when I plug it in to USB port.  I've tried to charge the iPad but the iPad states "not charging". It only trickle charges now.  Tried re-installing iTunes, using different USB ports and connectors as well as carols different plug sockets.  Very grateful for any suggestions as I'm baffled! Thanks

You could try testing with another program like Image Capture found in the Applications folder.
If that program also does not show the camera then try a different USB port on the computer.
If you have a memory card reader you could try that as well.
If the issue still persists then checking your camera's settings in keeping with TD's advice would be a good idea. It may be in the wrong mode.

  • Equium L350D - DVD/CD drive isn't recognised

    Hi,
Having a real problem with the internal DVD/CD drive in my Equium.
Whatever DVD software I try to use my DVD drive isn't recognised. I've tried using the following : Toshiba installed, Windows Media Player, iTunes.
This is the error message :
The specific drive cannot be located. Check the setting by going to Settings->Action settings->Source, or otherwise check that the drive has been properly connect to the PC.
    Hope someone can help !!

    Hi mate
First of all you should check the device manager.
The CD/DVD drive should be listed there
If there is yellow exclamation mark near the ODD in device manager, then you should delete it from the device list.
Then you should access registry (type regedit) and remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
After that reboot the unit and wait until Windows would recognize the ODD again
If this would not help, then I would recommend removing the tools like itunes and other burning applications from the system
I read in many forums that iTunes etc could affect the CD/DVD drive functionality

driver download from this site? (is it free?)
    thanks for any assistance
    paul

    Hi Paul,
You don't say what model of notebook you have, but generally speaking if you are using Windows XP then you will be using the standard Microsoft drivers for your optical drive.
However, you can download any of the Toshiba drivers and utilities from the Toshiba web-site by clicking on the Support and Downloads section and selecting Download Files. You will need to complete the details of your notebook so that the correct driver list will be displayed (unless you supplied these details when you registered).
    regards,

  • My Apple TV 2 isn't recognised in iTunes.

    Hi,
My Apple TV 2 isn't recognised in iTunes and checking the support pages the solution appears to be to get a Bonjour update download, only problem is where do I get this download as I can't find it anywhere. Second problem may be linked to the first, I am not able to connect to homesharing and when I try my ATV tells me that I am using the incorrect Apple ID or password which is not the case.
Please help as I am desperate to resolve these issues so that I can start enjoying my new toy.

  • My Macbook isn't recognising a CD-r disk that I want to burn to

    Hi there,
I have a really frustrating problem with my mac book, it isn't recognising some blank cd-r discs that I want to burn a file to. I have used all sorts of discs in the past that have worked fine and that includes the type of discs I want to currently use. My Mac book is recognising other discs including blank and commercial. The only difference I can find with these particular discs compared to others that have worked is the speed on the front of the disc, these ones are 52x speed, and others I ahve used before have been 12x speed. I have previously burned to other 52x speed discs though. I hope someone can help otherwise this will be a very frustrating, time consuming and expensive game of trial and error to get my work done!

What brand of CD-Rs are you using? Many people here use Maxell for best quality.
