  • Subscription/Notification Mail Content

    Hi all,
I am encountering a problem regarding subscriptions. I have a subscription service running here wich should notify the user about changes made to threads(forum) to which he has subscribed (if someone reply a thread or create a new  thread, all other users should receive a e-mail notification). The e-mail notification is properly working (mails are sent), but the problem is the content of the mail. These users ONLY RECEIVE A LINK which refer to the new created thread or to the reply for a existing thread. Is there a way to receive the FULL CONTENT OF THE NEW POST?
Can anyone please give me any suggestions? If anyone has any idea, it would be greatly appreciated and rewarded.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Hélio.

  • Create a Subscription without Notification Mail about the Creation

    Hi,
we have developed a room extension which automatically creates subscriptions for new room members for all room stores; the target channel is (and should be) the EMAIL channel.
The problem now is that when a user is added to the room as a member, he gets n+1 notification mails where n = # of room stores: one mail notifying about the room membership (that mail is OK) and one mail per room store notifying about the created subscription; these mails are not wanted.
Question: Is it possible to create subscriptions per API (it's a service user who creates them and then passes over the ownership to the recepient) using the EMAIL channel but avoiding the notification mails about the created subscriptions?!
    Thanks in advance
    Detlev

    Hi,
thanks for attending this interesting topic
"Solution": It's not possible by standard means to reach this aim <i>only</i> in the situation described (but: globally for all subscriptions).
Reason: <i>createSubscription</i> on the SubscriptionManager implementation calls <i>sendAdminNotification</i> internally, which calls <i>sendByNotificator</i> internally, which again calls <i>send(recipients, channel, notification)</i> on the <i>INotificatorService</i>. All these calls are unconditioned ...
... except for: The decision if an admin notification is sent depends on the "Allowed AdminNotifications" (System Admin, System Config, KM, CM, Repository Services, Subscription Service, subscription). Removing "create" will have the desired effect - but globally.

    Thanks for listenting
    hope it helps someone

  • How to manipulate the recipient adress of a notification mail?

    Hi,
when a task is assigned to a user, LC can send nice notification eMails. Meanwhile the content (mail body and subject) can be freely formatted through custom eMail templates.
I need exactly this but in addition to that, I would need to change the recipients adress (to-adress) of the eMail. The user task and it's custom template does not support this.
Is there a way to somehow manipulate the recipient adress of a notification mail?
    Here is the use case:
We have to create business process solution based on LC ES 2.5 BPM. In the user directory we have regular users with regular eMail-adresses. So far everything is standard and the latest LC version.
But some of the eMails sent by the system will contain sensible HR personell data. So we have the requirement, that these emails have to be encrypted. The customer has an encryption infrastructure in place, that we are asked use.
It is a proprietary Notes solution. An eMail has to be send to a specific inbox (i.e. [email protected]). The encrypter receives the mail and encrypts it. After that he forwards the mail to the original recipient. The adress of the original recipient it extracts from a special formatted expression from within the eMail text.
The integration with LC could be very easy, if I would have the chance to replace the recipients adress that is automattically inserted be LC.
    Thank you for any idea
    Cheers
    Alex

The solution is to manipulate the processing logic of the "Email Notifiacation" orchestration. After the task "handleNotifcationWithRenderEvent" all email relevant fields are generated but the mail is not yet sent. A new task added here, can accomplish any manipulation.
The tricky part is to get access to the "Email Notification" orchestration at all. In workbench it is hidden.
It gets accessible by creating a new application and importing a process into it. Within the import dialog it can be selected. Once it is imported, it can be modified an redeployed to override the standard behaviour.

  • Wrong link in notification mail

    Hi,
The link provided in our approval notification mails are wrong. For example:
    https://xxx.yyy:8007/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart/BBP_CTR_DISP/!?client=013&sap-client=013&language=EN&sap-language=EN&~DisconnectOnClose=1&CONTRACT_GUID=45702019323A0102000000000A0C0181&OBJECT_ID=4000000302
As you can see the "bbpstart" is in excess and should be removed. Actually when we manually remove this part from the URL and retry to connect we are able to see the actual page.
What might be the reason for this problem?
    Thanks
PS: The ITS_DEST attribute for our organization is "https://xxx.yyy:8007/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/"

    Hi Emre,
I have no idea why this error is there, but you can rectify it in the report RSWUWFMLEC SRM 4.0 or RBBP_NOTIFICATION_OFFAPP SRM 5.0.
change the variant of this report or create a new  variant and then schedule it.
Try to give the desired URL in DEF_URL1.
    Thanks,
    Smita

  • Permissions in Subscription notification email

    Hi All,
I have enabled the subscription service for a KM folder and have assigned some users to it . These users have READ permission to this KM folder. But when these users receive a subscription notification email in that mail they have a link to go to details tab of a folder
But if user has only read permission for this folder , then they should not get a details link in subscription email .
How can we control this ?
Is it that we can control this only by service permissions for subscription ?
    Kindly advice.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit Kade

    Hi All,
Thank you for your help . Actually I was bit confused regarding the permissions and service permissions.
    Vinod ,
Your answer was helpful , I have checked it using service permissions and it is working fine but still I have one doubt .
I have assigned subscription service permission ( unsubscribe only ) to these users. This means users should be only able to unsubscribe themselves and not subscribe or add anybody to the subscription.
But when these users receive the subscription email they still have 'edit subscription' link in their email .
Is it some kind of configuration issue or a bug ?
    Kindly advice.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit Kade

  • How to Modify bottom text in notification mail

    Hi Experts,
I have an issue regarding sending mails from my portal. When any Notification mail is triggered from Portal to Users mails at the bottom of the mail in the Signature place they are getting company name as below:
    ABCDCompany Pvt Ltd, Chennai, India
now i how to remove "Pvt" from the above signature? where do i need to make the changes?
    Regards,
    Mahesh

    Hi,
I've a similar problem - I'm using Text2D to create labels for a node-link graph. I've set all the capabilities, etc., and am finally able to change the labels using setString in Text2D. With one slight problem - now I'm getting an error:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Texture:illegal image size
            at javax.media.j3d.TextureRetained.checkImageSize(TextureRetained.java:389)
            at javax.media.j3d.TextureRetained.setImage(TextureRetained.java:423)
            at javax.media.j3d.Texture.setImage(Texture.java:869)
            at com.sun.j3d.utils.geometry.Text2D.setString(Text2D.java:118)
at Label3D.setLabelText(Label3D.java:59)The only time I don't get the error is when I change the label from component ID to (which is a string containing an integer, e.g., 1234) to start/stop stage (which is another string containing an integer, e.g., 04, 11). If I attempt to change from component name (a string containing a string, e.g., "mesoderm"), say, to component ID, I get the error. So it's not about the length of the string, since component name is invariably longer than the ID, and the ID could be longer than the start/stop stage.
oh, this is the code I have for the capabilities bit - no more complaints there
    private void setCapabilities()
      text.setCapability(text.ALLOW_APPEARANCE_READ);
      text.setCapability(text.ALLOW_APPEARANCE_WRITE);
      Appearance appearance = text.getAppearance();
      appearance.setCapability(appearance.ALLOW_TEXTURE_READ);
      appearance.setCapability(appearance.ALLOW_TEXTURE_WRITE);
      Texture texture = appearance.getTexture();
      texture.setCapability(texture.ALLOW_IMAGE_READ);
      texture.setCapability(texture.ALLOW_IMAGE_WRITE);
    }Any ideas, anyone?

  • Workflow Notification Mailer in 11i

    Hi,
I configured workflow notification mailer in 11i,
    (a) only outbound Mail Configuration, I enabeld that
    (b) started workflow Mailer Service Concurrent Manager
    (c) started workflow agent listener service concurrent manager
Once I did the above, I am getting mails from Oracle Alerts..its nice..
But I want to know, the following configuration in workflow mailer wizard
---> Inbound Mailer Configuaration ( IMAP), Can I give same SMTP mail server name in this...
can anybody describe this, what for this configuration ( Inbound Mailer Service)....

Notification mailers can also process e-mail responses from users, using the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP). A notification mailer uses a Java-based e-mail parser to interpret the text of each message and create an XML representation of it.
A notification mailer uses three folders in your response mail account for response processing: one to receive incoming messages, one to store processed messages, and one to store discarded messages.
A notification mailer does the following to process response messages:
Logs into its IMAP e-mail account.
Checks the inbox folder for messages. If a message exists, the notification mailer reads the message, checking for the notification ID (NID) and node identifier in the NID line.
If the message is not a notification response, meaning it does not contain an NID line, the notification mailer moves the message to the discard folder and treats it as an unsolicited message. For the first unsolicited message from a particular e-mail address, the notification mailer also sends a warning message back to the sender of the message.
However, to avoid sending unnecessary warnings due to bounced or auto-reply messages, each mailer node stores a list of e-mail addresses from which it has received unsolicited mail, and does not send any further warning messages to those addresses. Instead, if the node receives a second unsolicited message from a particular address, the notification mailer discards the message and raises the oracle.apps.wf.mailer.unsolicited event. You can optionally define a subscription to this event if you want to perform some other action in response to the second unsolicited message. For all subsequent unsolicited messages, the notification mailer simply discards the message.
For more Info Please refer Oracle Workflow Administrator's Guide
    Hope it helps!

  • Notification mail for particular group of users

    Hi,
How to configure notification mail for particular group users in the portal, some circular posted in the KM.
    Please advise.

    Dear  kumargopalc,
The best way to do this, is create a folder in km where you upload your files o news to this user and then create a km navigation iview to give to the user the possibility to subscribe to it, the service subscription give to the users notifications on the amendment of the folder.

    Hi All,
Is there a way to setup a notification mailer in BPEL so that we receive mails whenever there are an error message if any of the BPEL process failed.?
    Thanks in advance
    Isma

BPEL leverages email for both outbound notification (e.g. alerting a user that they have to respond to a workflow), and also potentially for inbound actionable email notification (a user sends an email to a specific configured email address with an approve/reject etc subject - BPEL will continually poll this email account for new messages) .
The incoming server settings are thus used only when inbound actionable email has been configured.
Hence for incoming server details, you need to leverage a valid email account that can be accessed by IMAP or POP3.
The outbound settings are less important (unless your SMTP server requires authentication).
See the BPEL documentation for more details.
    Note:
The <name> value is a tag used to identify the account.
You should not remove the "Default" entry, but rather, you could add an additional EmailAccount entry with a different <name> if you want, and then change the actionableEmailAccountName to leverage the new account..
Also, various BPEL components will leverage the EmailAccount identified by name "Default" unless otherwise overridden.
    cheers
    Matt

  • Notification Mailer Footer

    Hi All
In OTL I am using a message Template and also enabled the emails to users at the
time of submitting the timesheet. I do not want the footer that appear in e-mails to be
    there i.e.
Please click on one of the following choices to automatically generate an E-mail response.
Before sending the E-mail response to close this notification, ensure all response prompts
include a desired response value within quotes.
    Result: Approve Reject Request Information
When I see the notification it is coming as per template and I am not seeing the above
footer. But in the emails this text and result links are coming.
How can I remove the above text from the email.

  • Notification Mailer can't send to GroupWise

Whenever a notification is to be sent to GroupWise, an error
occurs in the Workflow Mailer saying that the Message could not
be sent. Is there some special setup that needs to be done for
    GroupWise email notification?

The Workflow MAPI Mailer should work with any MAPI compliant
email server. There are customers using it with Microsoft
Exchange and Lotus Notes, Groupwise customers appear to be having
some issues. If you have access to a UNIX platform, you can use
the Workflow Notification Mailer which will use sendmail.

  • Sending Human Task notification mail to a assignee not found in LDAP

    Hi All,
    I have 2 requirements:
    1. Suppose i have a HumanTask which sends a notification mail to the assignee when the task is assigned to him/her.
In our process we are first checking if the assignee's email address is present in LDAP using the BPEL variable that holds the assigneeID.
If it is not present in LDAP, then we are getting the email address from database before the invocation of the HumanTask.
Now, as the emailaddress is not found in LDAP, so when the HumanTask is invoked the notification mail will not be sent to the assignee.
So, we have used a separate email activity after the invocation of HumanTask to send the notification mail to the assignee using his emailaddress that we fetched from the database.
I don't want to use this separate email activity and wanted to know if there is any other alternative to send the notification mail during invocation of the HumanTask using the emailaddress that
        we fetched from the database?
Basically i want to know if there is any other way to send the notification mail when a task is assigned and the assignee's email address is not found in LDAP?
    2. Is it possible to send a Human Task's outcomes as links in an email activity body?
Actually, i am sending a mail to a user using the email activity. Before that a HumanTask is present in my BPEL process.
I want to send the HumanTask's outcomes as links in the email that i am sending to the user using the email activity just as they get displayed in the notification mail when HumanTask's "Make
       notification actionable" feature is selected.
Please help me with the above requirements.
    Regards,
    Suman

    AnilB,
Assigning a task to a user that is not in the directory will likely result in the BPM flow going into suspended state. To avoid this, assign the task to a pre-created group, you should not get an error even if the group is empty. You can then add and remove the users to that group to control access to the task.

    merci
    PS: si possible en français

    Hello,
There is a good deal of irony in the message you received, and the web page at the link in the message your sister received.
In the case of ISP's trying to police sending from computers connecting to their networks, an authenticated SMTP (which smtp.mac.com is) is a good thing, and they readily allow you to use the smtp.mac.com (but often on special Ports). In the case of your sister's ISP any authenticated SMTP is a bad thing, based likely upon the fact that authenticated SMTP are needed when sending from hotspots, cafes, etc, where such use might disguise the source point for email. For you, as a .mac user that is a strength of the using the smtp.mac.com, precisely because it aids in sending when you are away from home, and the connection with your ISP.
So their filter apparently is based upon recognizing the domain of a sender, hence the admonishment to use the SMTP of your ISP -- I have never seen this message, but understand it to mean they are only going to accept mail from know sources, and their method of "knowing" is the evidence of the use of the SMTP of a known ISP.
Your quickest solution is to use the SMTP provided by your ISP as the Outgoing Server for your .mac account -- this should not require you to use the email address given to you by your ISP, however.
If this banning has been somehow "learned", it could be due to Mail 2.0 turning Rich Text into HTML, and HTML is often a trigger to declaring an email to be Junk.
More info, if possible, of if you find out more.
