Subscription order status "delivered" but unable to make skype call

Hi Team, I renewed my subscription. In the purchase history of my profile the status of the order shows as "Delivered". However, i am still unable to make any call. it gives me an error message "you need skype credit to call this number".Any solution in this regard would be really appreciable. Regards,Pankaj

    Calls to UK shared cost numbers are not covered by subscriptions. Since shared cost / premium numbers have much higher rate you will need Skype Credit.

  • Dial tone but unable to make calls.

    Hi,
    I had BT Infinity installed on the 10th Feb 14. About a day or two after it all switched off for about 30 mins. When the phones and internet came back online the phones would not ring out.
    Whether the phones are plugged into the master socket or either extension they are unable to make external calls yet there is a dial tone.
    If I plug the phone in to the test socket then it works fine. This has only ever been an issue since the new faceplate and installation of BT infinity.
    When I went to plug the phone into the test socket I noticed an orange and white wire that has seemingly come out of its connection but as to where I don't know. The other 3 cables are still in.
    Also internet is working fine.
    Any ideas?

    If you get dial tone with the faceplate disconnected, then the fault is within your own wiring, and it means that the extensions are wired up wrong. You either pay BT to sort it out, or get an independent telephone technician.

    Its most likely that whoever did the Infinity installation, forgot to check for any "star" wiring. ie. extensions connected before the master socket. Its quite often the contractors that forget to do this. The Openreach people usually know what they are doing.
    There is nothing else I can suggest, as it appears that the faceplate is not at fault, as the phone and broadband both work fine from the master socket faceplate.

I checked with my colleagues in the office who use the same network and theirs work just fine on iOS7. Any idea how to fix the problem?

    I have also called my service provider and my service remains active in the network. I tried removing and reinserting my SIM but to no avail.

    Please help. I've sucessfully connected via Bluetooth and enabled phone on car handsfree.  I receive calls directly on hands free - no problem.  I can make a call, from my 9860 and then continue with the conversation on the handsfree.  BUT I cannot make a call from the go via the car or handsfree device.  Go through the motions on handsfree when making a call until "calling the number".  Call is then rejected with message:  "Unable to find channel or circuit".

    Sometimes and this is network dependant if they suspect the phone to be lost or stolen as in this case with change of Sim card and provider then the origonal network can and some will block the phone untill you have rang them and proven it's not the case or if you have bough this 2nd hand then the origonal seller may have stopped paying the contract bill and thus the phone is blocked

    If by "leave this page" you mean this forum, the solution is simple. You can't make Skype calls from a browser page. You must download AND INSTALL the Skype application to do so. Click on the Downloads link at the top of this forum page, then open the Skype.dmg file that appears in your Downloads folder. Drag/drop the Skype icon onto the Applications folder icon IN THAT WINDOW to install Skype. Thereafter, you'll find it in your hard disk's Applications folder. That should do it.
