  • Adobe converter subscription question

Can I share my subscription with an office companion?

    Hi there,
Currently, the ExportPDF, PDF Pack and Acrobat Plus subscriptions are individual subscriptions and not team subscriptions.
This means that when you sign in to your conversion service subscription, you will see all of your converted files that are stored in your Acrobat.com account.
There is no support today for creating multiple user logins to one account.
Does this help to answer your question?

  • CDC Subscription question concerning transactional consistency

    Hi
Hopefully a quick question: can anyone confirm whether or not it is the subscription that controls transactional consistency when accessing change records in the change views?
For example, if you have 20 source tables that you are capturing changes for and create one change source, one change set containing 20 change tables and one subscription for which you have 20 change views then because it is the subscription that you specify when performing the extend and purge operationa and hence it is the one subscription than ensures that when an extend is issued then all change records across the 20 change views will be transactionally consistent.
I have had an alternative design proposed to me that is to use 20 separate subscriptions - one for each source table and change table. My concern is that this will not ensure transactional consistency across the 20 tables and that any ETL design (for example 20 separate threads running in parallel and each doing an extend, process, purge sequence) cannot ensure that the change records in the change views correspond to the same transaction across the tables in the source database.
I hope that this is clear - any views and opinions on this will be very gratefully received.
    Many thanks
    Pete

Apologies if this appears to be belabouring the point - but it is an important bit of understanding for me.
    >
The issue is not that you are belabouring the point but that you are not reading the doc quote I cited or the last paragraph on my last reply.
Creating a consistent set of data and USING (querying) a consistent subset of that data are two different things. The publisher is responsible for creating a change set that includes the data you will want and the change set will make sure that a consistent set of data is available.
Whether a subscriber makes proper use of that change set data or not is another thing altogether.
If you create 20 subscriptions then those are totally independent of one another just lilke 20 people subscribing to the Wall Street Journal; those subscribers and subscriptions have NOTHING to do with one another. If you want to try to synchronize the 20 yourself have at it but as far as Oracle is concerned each subscriber is unique and independent.
If you want to subscribe to, and use, a consistent subset of the change set then, as the doc quote said, you have to JOIN the tables together.
Read the documentation - you can't understand it if you don't read the doc and go through the examples in it.
Step 4 Subscribe to a source table and the columns in the source table shows you exactly how you have to do the join.
The second step of that example says this
    >
Therefore, if the subscriber wants to subscribe to columns in both publications, using EMPLOYEE_ID to join across the subscriber views, then the subscriber must use two calls, each specifying a different publication ID:
    >
    '. . . join across the subscriber views . . .'
Don't be afraid of breaking Oracle by trying things!
The SCOTT EMP and DEPT tables might currently have a consistent set of data in the two tables. But if I query EMP from one session (subscription) and query DEPT form another session (subscription) the results I get might not be consistent between them because I used to independent operations to get the data and the data might have changed in between the two steps.
However if I query DEPT and EMP using a JOIN then Oracle guarantees that the data from both tables will reflect the same instant in time.
Not a perfect analogy but close to the subscription use. If you want to subscribe to data from mutiple tables/views in the change set AND get a consistent set of data you need to join the tables/views together. The mechanism for doing this is not the same as SQL but is shown in the above example in the doc.

  • Subscription question fixed/mobile

    Hi,
So, I would like to use skype to keep intouch with people where I used to live.
I took a look at the subscriptions from Skype and I would like to use the 400 bundle with mobile, because not all my friends are available on a fixed line.
I was wondering how this works?
    - so I buy 400 minutes and every minute I talk on a fixed line or mobile line will be deducted from my bundle.
    - or when I buy 400 minutes it is worth like EUR. 45 and every minute I talk on a fixed line the price of calling to a fixed line will be deducted? And when I'm calling to a mobile phone the price of mobile will be deducted from my balance?
I'm not sure about this and wasn't able to find the information on the site.
Last question is about the payment options.
On the site I can read that bank transfer is one of the payment options. But when I want to register a subscription the bank transfer option isn't there?
     Hope someone can help me.

If you purchase a subscription that includes 400 minutes per month for calling landline and mobile phones in a particular country, then your calling to that country will initially be deducted from that monthly allotment of minutes.  If you exceed the 400 minutes in a month, you would need to purchase Skype Credit to continue calling telephones in that country, until the next month's 400 minutes is available to your Skype account.  When using Skype Credit, there are generally different per-minute rates for calling landline phones vs. calling mobile phones.  Click on "Pay As You Go" below and enter the country you are interested in for the per-call rates to call that country, or click on "Subscriptions" to see all the options for a subscription to cover calling to that country.
As for bank transfers, not all payment options are available in all countries.  Click on "Ways to pay" below to see which options are available in your country.

  • Subscript question

We have had a UCCX 7 installed for a while, however been asked to look through it as we have had issues. I`ve already located one issue to be the format of recordings but now I have to look at a subscripts which does not seem to be called
I understand that Subscripts are used to call a second script as in a holiday check and then return to the main script
Question- What makes subscript return back to the main script is it purely the commend "end" within the subscript and so it returns to the main script where it left or is there more to it
How does the Input and Output mapping work on the Call Subflow ? are these the items which make the script interflow from main to sub and back again ?
Input mapping- Source - Item in the main script which calls the subscript ??? and Subflow Destination - point in the subscript where the flow from the main enters the subscript?
Output mapping -Subflow Sources - the point in the subscript where it leaves and Destination - where it re-joins the main script
    thanks

What makes subscript return back to the main script is it purely the commend "end" within the subscript and so it returns to the main script where it left or is there more to it
It's as simple as it looks. When the End step is reached within the subflow it terminates and the parent script continues on to the next step following the Subflow step.
How does the Input and Output mapping work on the Call Subflow ? are these the items which make the script interflow from main to sub and back again ?
These are used to copy variable or literal values between the two scripts. Input values are passed before starting the subflow script. Output values are passed back to the parent script when the subflow reaches the end step. The variable types must match (e.g. String to String).
Input mapping- Source - Item in the main script which calls the subscript ??? and Subflow Destination - point in the subscript where the flow from the main enters the subscript?Output mapping -Subflow Sources - the point in the subscript where it leaves and Destination - where it re-joins the main script
The Subflow Destination and Subflow Source is the variable name within the subflow script. The Source or Destination is the variable name from the parent script.
The thinking is that  a subscript can be used, called upon by  more then one main script so may need to jump out of the single subscript at different points based upon possible different if statements, when etc - is this where the input, output mapping came in to play ?
Just write expressions in the subflow script that go to the end step if the condition is met.

  • Pre-purchase subscription questions

I carry a business iPhone with an unlimited data plan, and my company does not object to employees installing apps.  So I installed Skype on it.  I make very few personal voice calls and I am considering using Skype on this phone as *my only personal phone*.  Logically I now need to buy Skype subscriptions.  But I have a few questions:
It seems that I must buy first buy a subscription ($2.99/mo for unlimited calls to non-Skype numbers in the US and Canada).  Then, after I have the subscription and I am a subscriber I should buy a phone number ($30/year since it is 50% off for existing subscribers).  Is this correct?  Is this the right order of purchases for the lowest cost?  Do I need something else (other than credit for international calls)?
I noticed that the Skype online status of people on iPhones is constantly popping in/out, presumably because the iPhone goes dormant.  For example, my phone is right now next to me (not moving), plugged into power, with WiFi on and totally in range of service, but I show offline.  Is there a setting to make the status stay "online" all the time?
If I have a phone number and my Skype status shows online but I get a call to that number, will it cause my iPhone to wake up when called?  Or will the call go directly to voicemail even though I was available to answer?
I could not see any human-powered support phone number, email or live chat on the whole site.  If I am using Skype as my primary voice medium, I will certainly need some kind of human-powered customer service.  Is there some?  What is it?
The subscriptions seem to be for a year and they seem to auto-renew.  Do they become monthly after the first year, or do they auto-renew for another year?  If the service fails to live up to expectations, what would I need to do to use it until the subscription is over but prevent it from auto-renewing?
Is there something else that I should consider before jumping in?

    Hi,
1.Yes,in order to get a discount for the Online Number you need to purchase a Skype subscription first. Discount depends on your subscription's length.
    Please see: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA256
    2. By default your status is set to "online" after you log in and it should not change. Skype on iPhone is stable so, perhaps there is an issue with your connection.
General usability FAQ available here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10638
3.Yes, it is a standard behavior, for the tips check FAQ above.
4.Skype does not offer a phone support. Help is available via email or chat.
How to contact Customer Service: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA1170
    5. Most subscriptions is available for 1,3 or 12 months. If you sign up for a yearly subscription it will be renewed for another 12 months (if initial order is for 3 months, then package is extended for 3 months ect.)
Recurring payment can be cancelled any time from your account's page. It can be cancelled even 5 minutes after purchase. In this case, subscription will remin of course active for the whole period you paid for.
    How to cancel subscription: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA1881
    6. We offer subscriptions which allow to call landlines, mobiles or both at the same time. So I strongly recommend you to double check you are purchasing correct package.
Also- if you buy subscription which includes 60min/month to some country and you run ot of minutes- buying the same subscription will not add additional minutes. It will only extend your service for another month. If you need more minutes then get similar package (for example "Country 120min) or additional Skype Credit.
Get familiar with fair usage policy too.

  • Single App Annual Subscription Question.

I own a licensed hard copy of Lightroom 4 and wanted to take out an annual subscription to the cloud version of Photoshop CS6 at £17.58 per month. I'm a photographer and only want to use Lightroom and Photoshop.
I was having a chat with an Adobe online persona called Nathan who informed me that if I took this type of subscription out then I wouldn't recieve any free updates or upgrades to Photoshop CS6; and that in order to do so I need to take out a full £46.88 per month subscription.
As I said, I only want Photoshop as I already own Lightroom.
I am not particularly bothered at this juncture if I didn't qualify for a free upgrade to CS7 when it comes, but I assumed that Photoshop CS6 version updates would be free.
Please can someone tell me if I'm right; and if I'm not, and updates are not free then what is the point of the single app subscription?
    Best Regards
    Andy

    Hi Andy,
The Creative Cloud FAQ has info about the single app subscriptions here:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#single-app
You heard "I wouldn't receive any free updates or upgrades to Photoshop CS6"
    - You would get any product specific updates that were non-Creative Cloud, same as customers who own Photoshop CS6. Creative Cloud customers get the benefit of getting new feature updates as soon as they are ready versus the next product upgrade.
Any ongoing bug fixes, security patches, and other update releases that do not require full upgrades will be made available through the Adobe Application Manager just as in the regular versions of Adobe software.
    - Upgrades usually refer to a next version of the software, so if you had a subscription when PS CS7 came out, yes you would get access to that version
    Benefits of single app subscription
    - You could purchase it on a month to month if you wanted
    - License is cross-platform (you could install on both a Mac and a PC)
    - 20GB of online storage with Creative Cloud files
One other item I didn't see on the FAQ that I would want you to know, the single app subscription is the standard version of Photoshop CS6 - the version that comes with Creative Cloud is Photoshop CS6 Extended.
    Hope that helps,
    -Dave

  • Match subscription question???

    Hello,
I have a good deal of CDs and songs at that I imported at low quality in my iTunes library. These CDs are stored away in the attic and I never got around to importing them properly.
If I subscribe to iTunes Match to "upgrade" these songs, do I get to download them to my harddrive or are they only available to stream?
If I can store them on the harddrive, what happens after the subscription ends? Do the songs automatically get deleted or can I keep them?
I'm just trying to figure out whether I should import the songs again or go with Match.
    Cheers.

    Figured it out.  Thanks

  • I need help...Monthly Photoshop Subscription Question...

Hello.  I signed up for the monthly Photoshop Creative Cloud last year.  I really only use Photoshop for some very basic things maybe 2x a month.  I have read that I can get a free version with 2GB of storage for free.  Is this true?  And would this work for me?  I just want to be able to access Photoshop on my computer and want to be able to pull up the files I have and change them when necessary.  I am very much a novice at Photoshop as well, so I don't do anything major on it.  If I can save the $32 a month, it would be very helpful financially.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

A Photography Subscription is Only $10 a month so you can not save $32 a month.  Photoshop is not free nor version is.  However there free touch apps for iOS devices like phones, iPods and iPads there I believe there is also Android versions as well as a online version of Photoshop Express.   Photoshop Express is not Photoshop or Photoshop Elements which are PC applications that run on windows and Mac OS.

  • Integration broker subscription question

    Hi ,
We performed the integration configuration between two HRMS 8.8. Below is the detail information.
System A: Local node A and PIA node B.
Node B used the HTTP connecter and it has the OutAsync transaction.
The message channel and message are active.
System B: Local node B and PIA node A.
Node B used the HTTP connecter and it has the InAsync transaction.
The peoplecode in System A publish the message out and i can see the message (status of done) in the monitor. Also the publish contract is done. But i can not find the subscription contract is created in the System B.
Anyone has the experience on that?
    Thanks in advance!

yes, bandar. The route should exist and the handler should be created for the system B. But my system is 8.45 PT and 8.80 HRMS, the route is named as transation in this verion of system. I also created the subscription for the message. I am not familiar with HRMS 8.80 and do not know if it is enough for the configuration.
    Thanks for your reply.
BTW, after i published the message , the sql is running background in my system B.

  • Subscription question

My wife accidently bought and paid for a subscripton to call Georgia, but she inadvertantly only made it for landlines.  Is it possible to switch that to include cell phones?  If not is it possible to cancel and request a refund and then just get another subscription?

    Which Plan was purchased?
    (Exact name please).
    Moved.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

  • Topic with Durable Subscription Questions...

              Hello all,
The scenario: WL 7.0 - sp2, a clustered environment. I have a JMS Topic which
has one MsgBean that is Durable and one MsgBean that is non-durable consuming
messages off this Topic. Both MsgBeans are deployed on all machines in the cluster,
and the server (which contains the topic) is targetted to one machine.
The issue that I am experiencing is that the DurableMsgBean can not connect to
the jms topic, but the non-durable one gets its messages all the time.
              Any ideas/suggestions?
              C.

    Hi,
The durable subscriber name is derived from the descriptor's ejb name,
and only one consumer may attach to a particular durable subscription
at a time. I've attached some notes that should help you out, please
              excuse the jumbled formatting.
Let me know if this helps,
              Tom, BEA
The durable subscription is uniquely identified within a cluster by a
combination of "connection-id" and "subscription-id". Only one active
connection may use a particular "connection-id" within a WebLogic cluster.
The durable subscription id, which must be unique on its topic, comes from:
              1) <jms-client-id>MyClientID</jms-client-id>
              (the weblogic dtd)
              2) if (1) is not set then the client-id
              comes from the ejb name.
              The connection id comes from:
              1) The "ClientId" attribute configured on the WebLogic
              connection factory.
This defaults to null. Note that if the ClientId is set on
              a connection
factory, only one connection created by the factory
may be active at a time.
              2) If (1) is not set, then, as with the subscriber-id,
the connection-id is derived from jms-client-id descriptor attribute:
              <jms-client-id>MyClientID</jms-client-id>
              (the weblogic dtd)
              3) If (1) and (2) are not set, then, as with the subscriber-id,
the connection-id is derived from the ejb name.
              Work-around:
              A) Create a custom connection-factory for each server:
              1) configure "JNDIName" to the same value across all servers
              ("myMDBCF" in this example)
              2) configure "ClientId" to a unique value per server
              3) enable "UserTransactionsEnabled"
              4) enable "XAConnectionFactoryEnabled"
              5) set "AcknowledgePolicy" to "ACKNOWLEDGE_PREVIOUS"
              6) target the CF at a single WebLogic server
(Number 5 is required for non-transactional topic MDBs)
              B) In the MDB's weblogic-ejb-jar.xml descriptor, set the MDB's
connection factory to the JNDI name of the custom connection factories
configured in (A). Optionally, also specify the subscriber-id via the
              jms-client-id attribute.
              <weblogic-ejb-jar>
              <weblogic-enterprise-bean>
              <ejb-name>exampleBean</ejb-name>
              <message-driven-descriptor>
              <connection-factory-jndi-name>myMDBCF</connection-factory-jndi-name>
              <jms-client-id>myClientID</jms-client-id>
              </message-driven-descriptor>
              </weblogic-enterprise-bean>
              </weblogic-ejb-jar>
              C) Target the application at the same servers that have the custom
              connection factories targeted at them.
              Notes/Limitations:
              1) If the MDB is moved from one server to another, the MDB's
corresponding connection-factory must be moved with it.
              2) This work-around will not work if the destination is not in the same
cluster as the MDB. (The MDB can not use the local connection factory,
              which
contains the connection-id, as connection factories do not work unless they
are in the same cluster as the destination.)
              3) This work-around will not work for non-WebLogic JMS topics.

  • Photoshop and Edge subscription question

I am subscribed to the Photoshop Photography Program (and I'm a CS6 perpetual licence holder.) Does my subscription include access to the Edge products? I notice that Edge Inspect was installed along with my subscription, and in the Creative Cloud manager application the Edge products are marked as Install while other apps are marked as Try.

    Hi, John-
Edge Animate CC is available through a subscription to the Creative Cloud, and you can also subscribe to Animate CC itself.  Animate 1.x is available for a limited time perpetual license through creative.adobe.com, but the browsers are constantly changing, and CC is keeping up with them while 1.x is not.
    Thanks,

  • I'm lost- Please help with subscription question

I want to subscribe to the 49.99 per month service because I see that I can use Indesign for my books, but will also need Illustrator and possibly Photoshop. Does this subscription give me access to all of these...? The materials I've seen thus far don't mention Illustrator specifically.
Many thanks in advance for your help!!

Yes, you will get access to all of the products you mentioned and some more. Have a look at https://creative.adobe.com/#products to know the full list of products you will get.
