Subscription valid until Nov, but CC is not... thr...

I have an unlimited plan on my skype that ends and is to set auto renew on November 13th. There are no options in the account to disable the auto-renewal. My credit card on the account is expiring and I have received a warning that since my credit card is not up to date my subscription will stop on October 1st. Why? The plan is was paid in full last year. Why am I being cheated out of a ~1.5 month worth of use? I have no plans to renew the subsctiption, but fully plan on using what I have paid for. Should I consider this threat as a harmless warning.. or will be be able to use my plan until November 13th?

I have a subscription to Photoshop CC and lightroom.   In reviewing a
tutorail on You tube thr trainer was using phtoshop cc 2014 edition and
intorduced focus area.  Under View, select focus area and proceeded to show
options for that selection.
I then loaded my Photoshop version, loaded an image, when to view to select
Focus area and the selection does not appear in the drop down.
I wonder what may have happened.  the only difference I can see is the
version of photoshop she was using   showed adobe photoshop CC 2014 above
the images, and the toolbar which contained the main selections, i.e. view,
select etc had a white background.
My version of photoshop   Has a black background with white lettering and
PS in large blue letters.  I checked updates and I have the latest updated
versions.
Thanks for any help

If you purchased about 2 years ago new I am sure it is a Intel iMac. To find out what type of iMac you have just click on the Apple menu item in the finder and select about this Mac. I would check the ISP mail site and get the correct outgoing mail server info.

  • TS3988 'Valid Apple ID but not an Icloud account

I have downloaded iCloud onto my PC and when I try to sign in the following message appears 'This is a valid Apple ID but not an iCloud account.' What can I do? Thanks.

....some software developers are so smart that they become stupid in the process....I have a valid apple ID but iCloud complains, "your ID is a valid Apple ID but it's not an iCloud account." So, when I go to download the iCloud file to set up iCloud on my computer, the file is about 45MB. I finally get the file downloaded and installed exactly the way Apple said to do it and then the software STILL complains that my Apple ID is not an iCloud account--with no further instructions about how to GET an iCloud account....you're correct, Apple has a long way to go before it's integrity reaches up to the level of 'amateur' regarding their software instructions being user friendly...
In simple terms then, you can not create a new iCloud account on a PC and an Apple ID is NOT an iCloud account.
Use a Mac or an iPhone etc to open the account, then (and only then) can you sign into it on a PC.

You are trying to log in iCloud for the first time. You have to set up iCloud first on a iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac before being able to set it up on a PC. See > http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup

Icloud says my Apple Id is valid but it will not accept it to access Icloud

If the messages says that it is a valid Apple ID but not an iCloud ID, it's becaure you are trying to create an iCloud account on a PC.  You can only create the account on an iOS device or Mac (running Lion or Mountain Lion).  After creating the account, you can then sign in with the ID on your PC, but you can't create the account on a PC.

  • What to do when trying to log into my iCloud and it says "this apple iD is valid, but it's not an iCloud account"?

What to do when trying to log into my iCloud and it says "this apple iD is valid, but it's not an iCloud account"?

If you have not already created an iCloud account elsewhere you cannot do so on  PC, and that is the error message you will get. You can create an iCloud account on a Mac or an iOS device and then you should be able to sign into it in the iCloud Control Panel in Windows.

  • HT204053 iCloud says my Apple ID is valid but it is not an iCloud account. I find how to link on Apple services but it seems to leave me hanging. How do I actually link the 2 accounts? On a Windows 8 PC?

iClound Control Panel says my Apple ID is valid but it is not an iCloud account. How do I link the 2 accounts on a Windows 8 PC with iTunes 11. I go to Apple services and it gives some instructions; but they leave me hanging. They tell me to put in the same user name and then just stop. Doesn't say what to do next. I did what it said and the 2 accounts are still not linked. Anyone know how to assist? Thank you.

Apple isn't trying to be anti-PC with this; they support PCs going all the way back to Vista SP2, a 3-generation old version of Windows.  To sync iCloud with a Mac you have to be running one of the last 2 versions of the OS X operating system (i.e., a newer version than you do on Windows).  I assume it's set up this way because it's a service provided customers purchasing Apple devices that utilize iCloud syncing services, and if you happen to also you own a PC, it will sync with that as well.  It wouldn't make sense for them to provide this service, including a free 5GB iCloud account, hosting for backups, syncing services, free photo stream, etc. for non-Apple customers (who, for example, may only own a PC).
If you have a friend with one of these devices who is willing to let you create the account on their device, you could then use it on your PC.  They would have to delete the existing account from their device in Settings>iCloud, then let you sign in with your ID to create a new account, then delete this account from their device and sign back into their own account.  You could then use this ID to sign into the newly created account on your PC.  Note: each device can only create 3 iCloud accounts, so you would be using one of their 3 alotted accounts, but they may be willing to do this for you.
iCloud is really designed to keep your data in sync across multiple devices that you may own, and with your computer.  It will also automatically back up your device, stream photos taken on one device to all your other devices, and allow you to locate a misplaced device using Find My iPhone.  It doesn't, however, sync music if that's what you're looking for.
If you want to be able to access your music from iCloud you don't need an iCloud account for this.  As mentioned earlier, music purchased from the iTunes store is already available in iCloud.  Music from other sources, such as in your case, can only be accessed from iCloud if you subscribe to iTunes Match (see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/).  If you do, you can then upload your iTunes library (up to 25,000 songs) to iCloud an access them from an iOS device via iCloud, even without an iCloud account.  Music purchased from other sources that is copy protected (contains DRM) is not eligible and will not be uploaded to iCloud so be sure your music purchased from Amazon doesn't contain DRM before subscribing.

I already quoted the minimum requirements, look in the post before yours.
You will have to upgrade your Mac to at least 10.7.5, upgrades are not free, you buy them from the App Store. Mountain Lion is the best but your Mac must be compatible.
Here is a list of compatible machines.
Also note that some older apps (Office 2004, Appleworks) will not run on Mountain Lion.

    An update.
From iCloud Control Panel 2.1.1 for Windows
"iCloud Control Panel 2.1 and later includes support for Windows 8"
but you still need to set it up on a Mac or iOS device, "Note: To create an iCloud account you need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later, or a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later."

You are logging in iCloud for the first time. In this case, first you need to log in iCloud on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac. See > http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup
If you have not got a device to set iCloud up, you cannot use it. You can only use iCloud on your PC if you have got an Apple device

  • I log in with my itunes login - it tells me i have a valid apple id, but not a validi cloud account. Help please???

Hi, I have just downloaded icloud, its on my desktop fine.  When I try to log-in with my usual itunes id, it tells me - I have a valid apple id but not an icloud account. Am I being dumb or should I be doing something else? - please help, its doing my head in....

You should have been assigned an @me.com email address, which is the login.  If you moved from MobileMe "paid" then that will be the Apple ID to use.
