I am bit struct need bit help in the below query...
I have one barcode something like this...'11064626|04549580|04549580-0004|NWR|000027.535'
now i have to slipt the above information using the query using the pipe character...
x=11064626
y=04549580
z=000027.535
but this length is differ with each barcode that means i have to read this values something like AT_C of foxpro... between first and second pipe is customer number and between second and third is the account number soo on

Urgentthere is no "urgent" here.
"Urgent" means one of two things -
1) people are dying, or
2) you have a customer-facing, revenue-producing production system that is down.
(And to get some perspective on the second case, keep the first in mind.)
For the first, you call whatever civil emergency service seems appropriate.
For the second, you open an SR with Oracle - which requires a paid-up support contract. For them to consider your problem "urgent", you will need to demonstrate that your problem falls under item #2. I seriously doubt your problem fits that criteria.

Mapping using substing is not working after upgrade to PI SP13

Hi all,
In XI SP 14 we had a mapping that used a lot of substing commands to switch around a data time stamp. It basically said, if the node was not blank(its is being passed as blank on occasion instead of null) then run all the substing commands to move the date and time around. Now in PI SP13 it is still trying to run the substing mappings for the records with blank values coming in, even though the IF statment acknowledges that it should be suppressed. This is causing a java exception for the command since the field is not long enough for the substing. Has anyone else run into this problem?

Before the If condition just try to add the API SplitByVlaue or maybe concat the field with balnk spaces.
If you could give the exact details of the applied condition then it will be easy to give you the proper way that could achieve with mapping.
Its surprising that if the same mapping is working out for old SP and now its creating problem for the PI SP13.

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.
Reset Safari to remove cookies and other stored data.
System Preferences > General
Have a look at your settings in System Preferences > Security & Privacy.

Lightroom 3.2 - Using subst to a local drive fails

I recently installed Windows 7 64bit on a spare drive and started playing around with LR to see if there were any changes in performance between Win7 and XP.
My current configuration on XP x64 uses subst to map a directory on my "D" drive to the "P" drive. This helps in moving the catalog to another machine for archive purposes, everything stays intact as long as the P drive on that machine maps to the same directory structure.
After installing LR on Windows 7, I setup my local drive by running subst,
subst p: d:\photography
The P drive shows up correctly in Windows explorer. When I try to the load the catalog in LR I receive the error:
"Lightroom cannot launch with this catalog. It is either on a network volume or on a volume on which Lightroom cannot save changes."
This configuration worked without issue on Windows XP/LR 3.2, but Windows 7 changes something.
Has anyone else ran into this on Windows 7? From what I've been reading it's a fairly common configuration to help with drive management to utilize subst in this way. It makes sense that LR would want to check for a network drive, but in this case everything is local.

I figured out a workaround. It's painful, but accomplishes what I wanted.
Instead of using subst to map the directory to a drive, you have to use subst to create the new drive letter, then use symbolic links to create the directory structure.
subst p: d:\photography\empty (directory contains no files, so P will be created with no files)
mklink /D P:\Catalog D:\Photography\Catalog
mklink /D P:\Design D:\Photography\Design
mklink /D P:\LR D:\Photography\LR
mklink /D P:\Proof D:\Photography\Proof
mklink /D P:\Video D:\Photography\Video
This ends up creating the exact same structure that the original subst command created, and appears to function within LR without issue.

How are the subst data tags used in Portal Server

I noticed this tags in the authentication pages, where are they stored? How do I modify their value? How are they used? A reference to the admin or programers guide is plenty I just couldn't find one.

They are defined in the auth module properties files (however I don't think any are defined in the product as it ships). The tags are of the form:
<subst data="key">othervalue</subst>
If the key is defined, the value of the key is substituted for othervalue, otherwise it is left untouched.

How can you get firefox to work locally with the windows subst command?

I want to test my website locally using the windows subst command to emulate the root of my website. It works perfectly with IE8 (except IE8 displays the layout different to firefox) but will not work with Firefox. All of the images, styles sheets and anything with a root path does not work. If I use a relative path (../../ for example) to the objects they works fine.
How can I view web pages locally using a website root path?

Now I understand why Firefox does not load local pages and and IE does. I followed the link and tried all the various solutions. The noscript version did not work (but at least I have better security now) and the \\\\\ UNC path trick did nothing. Eventually I downloaded the IEtab plugin and that worked perfectly. All I wanted to do was to check webpages locally before submitting to my website and the IEtab plugin worked perfectly.

Workflow Subst: Exclude a particular task

We have a requirment where we dont want to allow the user to delegate a particular task .
But when we maintain substituion via UWL or SBWP for substitution profile 'ALL' it delegated all the workitems belonging to all the tasks.
How can we exclude a particular task from getting delegated.

I tried on the first option, 'General with No Forwarding' but in this case we cannot assign agents to the tasks via expression in the task/step.
It requires fixed agent (P/S etc) to be assigned in the agent assignment section of the task.
I tried the other option of creating a new Subst Profile.
It works partially, i.e while maintaining the substitute if we choose substitution profile 'ALL' or any other, but if we keep the substitution profile as blank then it does not work. If we keep the subst profile as blank then it delegates tasks under all classificaations, under all subst profiles.
I was planning to classify all the unclassified tasks (with no entry in task classification) in th system as 'NO_CLASS' and always make the user to use subst profile 'ALL' or any other
But the problem is how do we restrict the user from keeping the subst profile as empty.
I checked the BADI WF_SUBSTITUTE, but the BADI also filters out only valid subst profiles.
How would be filter out empty pofile or restrict the user from entering the empty subst profile.

Material determination-out of stock matls to be excluded from matl.subst.

dear experts,
my scenario: i´m using material substitution (reason 005 - Manual matl selectn) with Strategy "A" (substitute products are displayed for selection) - to offer several materials when user enters the material name in va01. i need to exclude materials which are currently out of stock from this selection. any ideas?

i believe the availability check in material determination only works with automatic selection, or selection in the background. perhaps you may need enhancements to allow manual selection only for materials that are in stock.

Limit users in search when Forwarding workitem or creating Substit. Rule?

When you are in Universal Worklist, you have capabilities to Forward workitems or Maintain Substitution Rules. In both cases there is a select box where you can search and pick a user from the system who you want to Forward a workitem to or say make your Substitute when creating a Substitution rule.
Is there a way to limit the users returned when searching?   It appears you can find any account/user in the system. For example, we entered "admin*" in the search box and it returned "administrator". We would not want this or any other kind of non end user account.
Also, we have concerns about customers accidentally being able to forward workitems to different customers or competitors.

Hi Mike, thanks for the OSS and reply. I agree with what you are saying. I'll just add a few comments. To help clarify, I guess there are two security concerns.   One is who you can forward workitems to and the other is hacker type security. A security vulnerability report from a 3rd party is what prompted my posting. They had issue with the user search on creating substitute and forwarding workitems (the fact it allows a complete enumeration of the system's user accounts).
Restricting by possible agents (=General Forwarding not Allowed) is also for exactly this purpose.
Perhaps that explains why not many companies have the same concern?
I agree and we are using this in some workflows. It does prevent you from forwarding a workitem to someone that is not a possible agent. The problem is that the user search still shows all user accounts. Fails their report and some of our users complain it forces them to know who the other possible agents are or guess.
Another option is to not allow forwarding for the task but put the whole thing in a loop and give them a forward option as a decision choice or button which results in an agent selection step or popup box and then loops around, sending the task to the new agent.
Yes, we do this in some workflows. The only issue is that we do this with synchronous dialog in SBWP and we cannot do the same in UWL.

Update a subst() with other substr() value from same row

Given table MYTEST:

Shortcuts - Subst. variables in report column

Hello,
I'm wondering why the next thing thing doesn't work:
I have a report with a column displayed as textfield, when I try to put a susbtitution variable (:MYSPEC) in Column Attributes -> Element Attributes it does not recognize it and just writes &myspec.="";
I tried to define a shortcut but then it doesn't work either.
When I use the Apex api "apex_item.text(1, dept ,15,NULL, :MYSPEC) deptno" then it does work.
Am I doing something wrong or is this just normal behaviour?

Hi Oli,
the bind-variable syntax (:MYSPEC) only works in code areas like SQL Statements or in PL/SQL code.
If you want to use the value of a page/application item in a property you have to use &MYSPEC.But be aware, not every property supports dynamic values.

I test the substring feature by searching for "alz". It should returns me all lines that contains "alzheimer". Am I right? But the result show nothing:

The prefix_index and substring_index do not make the substrings searchable as individual words. They just speed up wildcard queries. If you search for "alt" you will only get rows that have the word "alt" in it. If you search for "alt%" you will get all rows that contain words that begin with "alt". Here are some quotes from the Oracle Text Reference, which is part of the Oracle online documentation:
"substring_index Specify TRUE for Oracle Text to create a substring index. A substring index improves left-truncated and double-truncated wildcard queries such as %ing or %benz%. Default is FALSE."
"prefix_index Specify TRUE to enable prefix indexing. Prefix indexing improves performance for right truncated wildcard searches such as TO%. Defaults to FALSE."

Tenho um issue aqui no projeto e gostaria de uma juda de vocês.
O business apresentou a necessidade de ter um tax code que calcule o diferencial de alíquota (DIFAL), porém quando a condição de ICMS for a ICM0.
Ou seja, complementar o ICMS mesmo quando ele não é devido. Encontrei pessoas com esta situação também no www.localizationforum.com.
Até o momento já tentei diversas alternativas através da configuração, porém sem sucesso até agora.
Algum de vocês já passou por algo parecido?

Nesse caso, o que fiz foi usar o campo setor industrial (no cadastro de fornecedor) e informar lá que ele é optante por simples e via abap colocamos que se esse fornecedor fosse optante deveria seguir a regra abaixo:
ZIM u2013 0% ICMS + Crédito de Pis/Cofins: Determinar esse IVA quando transportador é optante pelo Simples e da mesma UF do local de expedição.
ZY u2013 0% Subst. Trib. ICMS: Determinar esse IVA quando transportador é optante pelo simples e de UF diferente do local de expedição.

Hi
I'm experienced any problem when our application run one transaction it becomes very slow, before it was speed and from yesterday it takes a lot of time to accomplish the transaction. That's why i analyze the problem with statspack and i've done also a trace. It's for my problem and for academic purpose too.
