Substitution and RSWUWFML2

Dear all,
Need you guys help!!
We are using workflow to send out work item and mail notification (by program RSWUWFML2) for approver to approver purchase requisition.
And everything is working fine except during substitution.
During substitution, the work item will be sent to approver and the substitute but mail notification (by program RSWUWFML2) only sent to approver but not to substitute.
Do you guys have any insight on that ??

1) Active substitution: is it from T-code SBWP, Settings --> Workflow Settings --> Maintain Substitution --> and input validity and set the 'Activate' button?
2) Email address: is it from T-code SBWP, Settings --> Office Settings --> Automatic forwarding?

I have created a substitution and activated the same at the line item level in order to substitute the ZRSPL (Payment Block) field by a constant value and a vendor invoice is posted using Transaction FB60. But the same is not working. When I post a vendor invoice using FB60, Payment Block field is being shown as blank instead of the constant value which I want to substitute.

I am not understanding the logic behind the prerequisites mentioned in your query.
Payment block field exists only for vendor related line item. However, you have not mentioned vendor reconciliation account in the prerequisites. It means, this substitution will trigger for all the line items which is wrong.
Or try following options.....
1) Substitution->Simulation
2) Extras->Expert Trace

As I'm new in hyperion planning I'm not able to figure out the difference between Substitution and Dynamic user variable. does anyone have any explanation with an example.. :(

Substitution variables act as global placeholders for information that changes regularly.
Each variable has a value assigned to it that can be set and changed centrally on the Analytic Services server at any time. When you are creating a substitution variable it depends on the requirement that variable is going to used for all application and its database or for particulaer apllication and its databases.
Substitution variables are especially useful when you are developing and reporting on rolling forecasts.
You can also use substitution variable in web form , business rules.
Substitution variable is created in Essbase but from 11.1.2.2 we can create substitution variable from workspace.
There is nothing named as Dynamic User variable. If i am not wrong you are asking about user variable.
User variables act as filters in data forms, enabling planners to focus only on the members they are interested in, such as departments in a particular division. Before you can associate a user variable with a data form, you must create the user variable.
User variable can increase performance by helping planners focus on certain members.
It is available in the File -> New -> User variable. It is also available in the Administration -> Manage -> User Variable.

Hi all,
Can any one give me basicsteps of Substitution and validation:FICO.
WIKI for Substitution and validation:FICO is not explanative of how to find program for particular/button/event of a transaction.
I am looking for more reference please guide.

Variable Substitution and Dynamic Configuration

Hi All,
In Variable Substitution , the name that should be given the the receiver payload should be part of the Source Payload unlike the Dynamic Configuration wherein the file name can be generated dynamically during mapping.
I have the following questions
1.Dont we need to write the UDF for the Variable substitution?
2.Cant we do the Dynamic configuration without writing UDF?If so then how?
3.In Dynamic Configuration the file name is generated dynamically.But where does the file name come from if it is not the part of the source payload?

No. Here we are accessing the contents of the payload to the target. So no UDF required.

Yes and No.
Because we can set only few Dynamic configuration values without UDF.
If both source and target are File, then check ASMA on both sender and receiver. Then u can get the source directory name and source file name for target also without any UDF.Also some other parameters.

The file name comes along with the source in the payload as a attribute in header. U can view this in SXMB_MONI, and Dynamic Configuration.
In Dynamic Configuration the file name is generated dynamically.
No the file name is taken as it is from the source, if u want to change dynamically that u have to do in a UDF.

UWL substitution and RMPS_SET_SUBSTITUTE in backend

I read a thread posted to this forum:

It states among others:
"If you are using the UWLfor workitems instead of the SBWP transaction, then you will need to maintain substitutions only through the portal.".
Does this mean that you cannot use tcode RMPS_SET_SUBSTITUTE from backend when using UWL?
From what I can see, they both update table hrus_d2. But there may be other implications that I do not see?

I think if you use tcode in backend for substituatiion,user should do in backend only and it may not be available in portal.If you do substitution directly in portal,it will reflect correctly in both portal and backend,
You can try both options with tes workflow and see difference.

Urgent help needed - GGB1 substitution and vendor/customer clearing!

Problem is following, I need to create substitution to change tax account and tax code during clearing of vendor or customer documents, and rule is if downpayment and invoice are in two different periods, use account xxx insead yyy. So, I used standard RG... program to create it, but I have following issue; during execution of transaction FB1K or FB1D, I don't have transfered document numbers of invoice and downpayment which I try to clear in RG... report. In fact, only table which I can access is BSEG and only data are data of clearing document which is being created. So, is there any user exit, badi, anything, which I could use to fetch document numbers of documents which I'm trying to clear.
I would really apreciate any kind of help or hint!

Maybe to explain a bit more deeper. I need to get document numbers of down payment and invoice which I'm clearing during this transaction. So, problem is that during execution of substitution I don't know this numbers, simply they are not available in it. Only table that I see is BSEG which is being populated with values of clearing document which is being created. If I'm clearing down payment 1500002, with invoice 1700005, during execution of substitution I don't see this document numbers. So, if criterions based on which my substitution should work (in my case if down payment and invoice are in different posting periods) are in this documents, there is no way (as I can see) to check this.
So, it is no problem to make some select statement for BSEG, BKPF or BSIK... but based on what? Any ideas?

FIDCC1 Validations / Substitutions and flat files?

I am investigating the potential for two different types of functionality from using the FIDCC1 IDOC for transferring financial postings between two separate SAP FICO systems. My understanding at this point in time is that this IDOC won't perform any of custom or standard substitutions or validations of the receiving system. Is this correct? can anyone confirm? Also, I understand that some IDOC will generate a flat file on the receiving system in addition to the posting of data there. Will FIDCC1 do this as well?
My apologies if this information is readily available elsewhere. I need to obtain these answer quickly and find that I can usually get rapid answers from the SAP Development Community.

Ok. That one is nice, especially in terms of defining header and trailer records. I also found this one http://sourceforge.net/projects/flatworm/ which allows for multi-line flat-files, which is also nice.
The problem is both only deal with parsing. Granted, writing a serializer even via reflection would not be all that tough. But a few Dukes for you!

Have tag called GlobalProductTextDisplay in xml with can have values of 0,1,2
In my preamble I define the following

Are you stating that you are getting the value of the global field GlobalServiceContact in your output or the physical text string of
b @global:GlobalServiceContact.
in your output?
If you are getting the text string, without totally deciphering your IF statement, my guess would be that the variable GlobalServiceContact is not defined in your input (or otherwise).

A problem about UWL substitution and GP

Hi, Guys.
Can UWL substitution mechanism also include gp task? I have some gp tasks in my uwl. When I set someone as my substitution, all of my tasks can be seen by my substitution(besides gp tasks). Is it a system restriction or just I need to do some configuration?

Hi experts,
I am using MIRO tcode in that after entering company code
screen came .second scrren having tabs at header level
details tab is there in that invoicing party field is there.
actually we are creating invoice with reference to purchase order ,in po vendor will effect in invoicing party field
but it is editable mode that's why we can pass different vendor from po vendor .I want to validate that vale with po vendor if it is same it has to post invoice other wise it has to give error message.
for this validations are possible or not i want to know please help me experts.

Ipad 2 - battery substitution and cost

I need to substitute the ipad battery because it's not charging anymore. I brought my Ipad into an official apple shop a they verified that battery was not working anymore, so I decided to change it. They asked me 150 euro to substitute the battery , but on the apple.com web site I found that it should cost 99 euro + 12 for transportation. Is there any reason why should I pay more ?

WF substitution and workload analysis

Hello WF experts.
I have been wondering why work items of substituted person are visible in Inbox but doesn't show up when user's "To be processed by" workload is analyzed with SWI5.
For example, for user Alice I set active substitute user Bob via transaction RMPS_SET_SUBSTITUTE. Then Bob receives Alice's work items in Business workplace inbox. When I check Bob's To be processed workload with SWI5, Alices work items are not displayed.
Why work items with status Ready from Alice's mailbox are not included in Bob's workload?

Hi Anete,
I am not sure, if there is any specific reason why the substitute's items do not show up in SWI5. That's just how it works. It would be indeed a nice feature to have that functionality directly in SWI5. Now it just takes an extra effort to take a look into the substitutes' inbox with SWI5 to see all the items that a user currently has.
Or you can of course build something custom with a relatively small effort to achieve that. But that's another story...
