Subtitles/captions under title and signs on some new iTunes movies
Recently I purchased "Indiana Jones - The Complete Collection" and was amazed to see that on all four movies, when the movie title is displayed or any sign, foreign subtitles appear underneath and I could not find a way to get rid of them. Subtitles are off, closed captioning is off. Apple were very responsive and gave me a refund and I assumed that it was only an error in these particular movies.
But, I just purchased four of the recently released, on iTunes, "James Bond" movies and they all suffer from the exact same problem and I cannot find any setting that is incorrect on my systems. These subtitles/captions are displayed under the movie title when it appears and any signs, if I watch them on my iMac or iPad and both have the latest software.
Are all of these movies being encoded incorrectly by Apple, is that really possible, or am I doing something wrong? Other movies I've purchased have never had this problem. Strangely the reviews for "Jaws" contain many descriptions of this exact problem, but for that movie I do not have the problem.
Can anyone help me understand what is going on, I cannot be the only one to be experiencing this?
I have the exact same problem. I bought Lady and the Tramp and Winnie the Poo last week and every time there is a scene with written text displayed, they have the foreign subtitle showing up underneath, and in my settings all the subtitles and captions are turned off. I have read in other threads this has happened before and apple sent out a notification to re download the movie after they fix it. Argh, frustrating

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- Then do the other actions of:

- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

I find that the easiest way to change the account you are using on your mobile device is to scroll down to the bottom of the iTunes Store or App Store on the device and tap the Apple ID button. Then:
- To sign out, or to sign in to a different account, tap the Sign Out button.
- To sign back in, tap the Sign In button, then tap either Use Existing Apple ID or Create New Apple ID, and follow the on-screen instructions from there. I hope this helps. -

If it's showing the connect to iTunes screen then you will need to do that.
But Apple don't provide any method to update the first gen iPad to iOS 5 (nor do they support downgrading the iOS version). -

Transfer the iTunes folder from your old computer to your new computer. It's in your My Music >> iTunes folder. You'll probably need an external hard drive to do this. Make sure you upgrade the old and the new computers to the latest iTunes before transferring your music to the new machines.

Do not create a new iTunes account... accounts cannot be merged.
Install iTunes on the new computer.
Syncing of iDevices does not import content to a computer, the sync is one way from computer to iDevice.

I have a slideshow I made in iPhoto and it is showing in iTunes movies but when I select it and click 'sync' it does not load into my phone. I have made sure it is a mobile version of the slideshow. How do I load it onto my phone? Or also, how do I play it from iPhoto or iTunes through Apple TV

It should be on the Home page but if you can't find it there go to settings>Genereal>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout

Ipod nano 5th is unrecognized and rejected after downloading new itunes on Windows 8. Everything works on both- can use ipod and charge, but no recognition, no sync. Whassup? Did something get lost in the itunes update?

How can I change the sign in so they ask for my Apple ID, not my husband's. This is a new device.

If your Apps were purchased with his Apple ID, it will still require his Apple ID to update them. If they were purchased with your Apple ID then it will use yours. Apps are linked to the Apple ID they are purchased with.
If, for some reason his Apple ID is set somewhere in the system, this article gives how to change it.

For example:
App Store
iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store.
If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, sign in with your current Apple ID.

Dust under screen and Dead Pixels on new MBP...
I got a new Macbook and, aside from the fact that it was missing the P key, there was a new manufacturing defect I hadn't seen before, (must be from the new process), wherein dust was trapped behind the glass screen.
The Apple Store was great about letting me exchanging it, no problem. Then I realized that I needed firewire so I returned the new and unopened Macbook replacement to upgrade to a MacBook Pro, but now I'm disheartened, because the new MacBook Pro, though a thing of beauty, has a bright dead pixel in the top middle screen, as well as a dimmer dead pixel 2 inches to the left of that one.
I just bought the computer a few hours ago.
Do you think I have a shot at them replacing it tomorrow? I hate to think of staring at this, (bright) dead pixel for three years, (not to mention the other dimmer dead pixel).
Thanks!Yep, I too did a custom order wtih everything I could get on it. And sad to say, like many iphones I have gotten, it too had dust under the display. It also was about 10 different yellow flecks under the glass. Customer service gave me no fuss really and I have sent it off and am awaiting a new one now. However, it is frustrating that this makes it out of the factory in the first place. Quality control should have seen this, especially when I am looking at buying 2 more shortly. It is my first actual mac purchase aside from the numerous other accories I have bought for PC use. However, with vista being the garbage that it is, I am having mac withdrawls now. ***** when you use something that works and then revert back.
I also noticed the battery lid was a little loose on the laptop. Hopefully this is a isolated thing as well. It does take about another week and a half from what I am told to get the replacement. Kinda ***** to have to wait, but I am sure it will be worth it. -
I have purchased another computer with the Windows 8 OS. When trying to synch the Ipod to capture some new music I have recently downloaded, the new songs will not show up on my IPod even though I have checked each one to synch. Any ideas?
I have a syncing issue involved with putting music on my iphone i am also using windows 8 so who knows?...
