Subtitles disappear randomly

Hello, as of version 8.0.A.0.6 I found out that subtitles will not work as they should. They work for some seconds and then randomly disappear and appear. If I advance or go back some seconds, they will also appear or disappear on different dialogs.
It is incredibly annoying and just when I thought that I didn't need to download MX Player on my new Z3 Compact.
Subtitles are very important not just for watching foreign movies but also for watching them at low volumes and still understand what is happening.
I hope the solution is coming, in the meantime I guess I will go back to MX.
Subtitles in ".srt" format and movies in ".mp4".

Now that you mention, I just tried an mkv file and it worked great for a few minutes... Must be an issue with mp4s

That's because the BBC iPlayer app uses basic AirPlay to show the content, this means the original content is sent to the Apple TV for it to decode rather than mirroring the screen of the iPad where the subtitles are added.

The contact list saved on my iPhone4 disappears randomly everytime I sync it with iTunes

Everytime when I sync my iphone with iTunes, some of the contact just disappear randomly.
What the **** is it going on with the iPhone sync? The problem persists for several months already.

Non-factory Apps Disappearing Randomly After Upgrade to iOS 5.1

Hi all, I've had my iPad 2 for about 9 months. Since upgrading to iOS 5.1, on two separate occasions, I've had all but the factory apps disappear from my iPad. This happened randomly during the day, not during or immediately following a sync. My most recent sync for my iPad was on 3/14, 6 days ago. I had been using my iPad throughout the day, then unlocked it this evening and everything is gone except the factory apps, i.e. FaceTime, Messages, Reminders, etc. All my media is still there, and all my settings are unchanged (email accounts still working fine, movies still there in the Videos app), but all downloaded apps are gone. No games, none of my work apps, nothing. This is the second time this has happened since I upgraded to iOS 5.1 about 2 weeks ago. First time was the day after. Last time I did a full wipe and restore, hoping it was a one time glitch. I've done some searching, and the only other instances of people's apps disappearing that I've been able to find were related to syncing. I have the latest iTunes, all software is patched and up to date. I have syncing via WiFi disabled, as well, it only syncs via cable plugged into my home PC.
Hoping someone else has seen this or has some idea.
(My battery life is significantly reduced after the iOS upgrade as well, with no changes to settings or new apps. I get a day or two of light use before I'm down to 10%. I was at 30% in the morning when I put it in my bag, and it was dead when I took it out later that afternoon. I used to get a good week between charges.)

If it's a first gen iPad, which I assume that it is if you've updated to iOS 5.1.1 as other models update to iOS 6+, then it doesn't have a camera on it and therefore doesn't have Camera or FaceTime apps.

Menu buttons text disappear randomly

Randomly when viewing my project in iDvd the text on buttons disappear, but the button remains so i can still click on it. Any one with any ideas what causes this or how to fix it please let me know thanks.

Is it possible to have that PDF for a test, or at least a part of it?
Interactive PDFs may not work correctly in the Reader just due to its settings regarding interactivity.

Why the movie subtitles disappeared after i mirror to Apple TV?

I have a mac air, and i also have apple tv3. I wanna use itune to mirror the moive to Tv.It works with no problem, the only problem is after the movie mirror on TV, the subtitles just disappeared. I have no idea why. But if i just play the movie in itune, the susbtitles is on the screen.
Can anyone tell me why and how to solve this subtitles problems? My movie format is mp4.

Well yes I rented in HD, as many times it is stated on Apple website that Apple TV can display and show movies in HD. It is this the issue?

Data Source Disappearing randomly

I am able to see the data source in server window... but not able to view data
when i see in XML file .Creator\2_1\context.xml, this data source is present in that file
Main concern is this random behaviour and cant predict when this datasource will disappear
My first question will be
"Is my application code responsible for this random behaviour?"
Its a very simple data access application.

Hi!
From error log You can see that problem is that for some reason necessary DB drivers can't be copied to the server's directory with libraries ("An error occured while trying to copy the needed DB driver jar files.") and therefore You have this problem. The reason can be write permission or something else, but not your application code.

WLC 5508/2504 - Wireless users having their Citrix sessions disappear randomly! Cisco APs, Intel Wireless Cards..

Last year we built a new citrix 6.5 farm on 2k8 r2 servers. Previously, we had a 4.5 farm running solid.
With the new farm, wiresless users connecting through ANY cisco wireless controller/ap will get disconnected at what seams "peak" times.
For example, a user will launch a published application at 8:05 in the AM, and a few minutes later; the application will just disappear. Within the mgmt console, it will show the session as disconnected. The users device will remain connected to the WLAN, and if they double click the application, it will relaunch immediately.
This never happened on our old farm! We are using the same laptops + some newer updated models.
It is also important to note that fat client/thin clients do not experience this at all. I can open an application on my desktop and leave it open all day, where as if I do such on a laptop it is bound to disappear atleast once during the day. Aside from hitting the WLC; both packets take the same path.
I'm working with Citrix right now gathering logs; but nothing is jumping out right away at us.
Has anyone here experience something similar?

MBA lion Mail issue: window disappears randomly

hello:
Having some MBA 13' mail issues:
1) mail window will disappear (only using cmd+0 shortcut will bring it back - or going to window>message viewer) randomly without any reason
2) starting up a new email or new note then closing this note or email will close the entire message viewer window...why?
3) emails deleted within the 'inbox' section will not delete in the Gmail section (setup as IMAP, with Gmail defaults)
I am a little concerned with 1 & 2 becuase these are huge user experience issues, it is the most frustrating thing to have to continually use the short cut to open up a window which should not have disappeared in the first place!!
any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

I've got the same issue. It seems to happen randomly but so annoying when it does. Upgrading to Mountain Lion hasn't helped and I've changed my keyboard and reset all the short-cuts to the default settings and still it happens in Mail and Microsoft Outlook for Mac when I'm typing a mail.

Layers disappearing randomly

I'm having an entire Layer Group disappear at random. It is still there in the Layers panel, but it's not being displayed on stage. I had added a new subfolder to the group, and I believe this is the culprit. Removing this subfolder stops this problem from happening. Here are the steps that cause this issue:
My layer group ("A") is initially showing.
I start editing another layer (Text field, any font)
The "A" layer group now disappears.
I select the "A" layer group and Move Tool.
When I move "A", it shows back up. I can then select "Undo" to have it go back to where it was (and stay visible).
If I try to edit another textfield again, the "A" group disappears once more.
If I remove a specific subfolder from group "A," it stops this problem from happening. I did have some vector layers in that subfolder, but had moved them out.
Has anybody else had this happen? I have never seen this issue before. Wondering if it's a memory issue, since I'm using some large font files (fonts with lots of detail). Could the file be corrupt? I tried saving it as another file.
I am using Photoshop CS4 Extended v. 11.0.2 on Windows 7 64-bit.

Full screen disappearing – randomly

Noticed this frustrating issue when in full screen mode of some software – iPhoto and Quicktime mainly, but could be in others, hence this place for posting.
When in full screen mode, the screen randomly disappears, or slides off screen to right. As though it's in some kind of screensaver mode. Seems to be ok whe I'm moving mouse around or clicking something, but if I leave it alone, it just disappears. Immensely frustrating when watching movies or playback or presenations in Quicktime. Anyone else experienced this? Could be an energy saving option or something? Any clues?

I found your post while having the same problem. Leave it out of full screen for a bit and watch your desktop icons. Do they flash every once in a while (1-2 minutes)? If so, try this...
Open up your Applications folder and head to Utilities.
Open Console & watch the system log scroll.
When the icons flash again, the system log will record a Finder crash (Timestamp ReportCrash:)
Underneath that will likely be the program causing the problem (for me it was Google Drive)
Uninstall offender.
That fixed it for me; hope it helps you.

Sent mail messages disappearing randomly, do you know why?

I had this HUGE bug in the past, but was fixed (at least for me) with Lion. Now it's back.
When I send a mail message sometimes, randomly, the message is sent BUT not showing in the sent folder or elsewhere. The message simply disappears.
This is not acceptable, I NEED to keep track of my sent messages!
This is a deal breaker, I'm forced to move to Thunderbird or something else, at least for a while, until this bug is tracked and fixed again.
Any suggestion?

I'm using Apple Mail 6.1 with IMAP on an italian provider (Aruba). My problem is only with Apple Mail, my iPhone and my iPad are ok. I'm using iCloud as a secondary email with no issues (at least for what I can see).
If I check via web browser I can't see the sent message, but I know it was sent.
This issue is very random. After the update to 10.8.2 I had 2 messages gone. I had the same problem with both Leopard and Snow Leopard, was fixed with Lion (same Mac, same email provider).
This is a console entry with an error message:

Yellow "minimize" button disappears. randomly. all apps

I've had this problem for as long as I can remember.
Randomly, the yellow minimize button (between the red and green buttons) on the
top bar of my apps gets grayed out, and no longer works. There's no
pattern to it - it's pretty random, and often happens to
several apps. Have not found a way to get it back, aside from
exiting and restarting the effected app(s).
When the app starts, all 3 buttons are present and working. At some
point, yellow fades to gray, and it's gone.
Sounds like an Aqua bug, but a very long-standing bug.

I have had this problem forever as well; all with Leopard. I've never installed WindowShade, but I do run Parallels 3.0 from time to time. I've never correlated this goofy and very annoying behavior with Parallels... The problem seems to creep in and out every day, usually affecting iCal, Mail and Firefox more than anything else (all at different times). I have correlated this with Spaces; the buttons typically come and go with more movement between spaces. Interestingly, if a yellow button disappears, I really don't HAVE to quit it to get the button back; just wait and sometime later after unknown operations it will be back. It always comes back if I quit the app and relaunch, but it will disappear again after a while.
