Subtitles don't show on Apple TV 3

I'm using a Apple TV for a few years now and I never had this problem before.
I play mp4 files from my macbook pro to Apple TV 3. I mux in the subtitles myself using programs like Subler and MP4Tools from SRT to Tx3g.
But when I play the file on my Apple TV the subtitles don't show. I have selected them in Captions, like always, but nothing. With one file only the first few lines were shown but later disappeared. Some files play without problems.
If I play the files on different media the subtitles show without problems
Does anyone have the same issue or a solution for this problem?

Ok, the email option isn't quite an option due to file sizes, but might work for others with smaller files.
On the other option, I had to use the file menu-->devices-->transfer purchases
i don't have A "sidebar" in the version of iTunes I am using (11.3.1) so I couldn't figure out where to control click. The ipad name shows up on top, and didn't do anything when clicked except 'eject' the ipad. (Not literally).
the only thing was these weren't purchases, so I didn't think that would work. They were downloads (like the owners manual for my minivan, they don't give a true users manual anymore and the cd version was horrible). Odd behavior in my opinion. It should do this automatically when it syncs I would think.

Are you trying to restore your Apple TV?
If so, make sure you are following the steps exactly (disconnect all cables, connect micro usb, then power)

Make sure to connect directly to computer, not a keyboard port or USB hub. Try a different cable.

I have tried a complete reset on my I4s as directed by apple. All it has done is show the apple for the last 12 hrs - other ideas

After attempting to download the new OS, I received an error message when restarting the phone stating only that an error occurred while installing. After contacting tech support they told me to reset the system which I have attempted to do - for the last 12 hrs all that has happen is the apple insignia and the rotating wheel - any suggestions?

HBO Go images don't show on Apple TV

When searching through the HBO Go app on my AppleTV, none of the images show up when browsing. They still play and the words show up, so I can find the shows, but I can't actually see images when searching so I have to guess based on alphabetical order what series I can choose from.

You are going to need to change the email address you use with your old ID. Once you have got access to your old account you will then log into both accounts at the same time on your Mac and transfer your data to a single account. We can do this later, but need you to get access to your old account first.

how to rotate photos in photostream so they don't show sideways on apple tv? i am viewing my photos on my tv and many of them are sideways. how do i fix this?

You'll need an application that edits the pics to do this: Acorn, Seashore, Photoshop Elements, Graphic Coverter are some, but there are many others - search on MacUpdate
Of course, iPhoto will do this too.

New Photos Don't Show On My Apple TV -- Is There a limit? An "Update" button? ...?

I have my Apple TV 2nd gen set so that after two minutes is shows photos from my computer as screensaver.
I have an album in iPhoto where I drag the photos I want and I've told the Apple TV to pick up those photos. Has always worked fine.
Recently I added some pictures to that album but they don't show on the Apple TV -- just the previous photos are on display. Is there a limit? There are 94 photos in that album. Have I forgotten some sort of "update" button? ...
All the settings both on the Apple TV and my iTunes look fine and I recently ran whatever update Apple wanted me to (I had this photo hiccup both before and after that upgrade so that ain't it).
Any suggestions?

Possible iTunes issue:
Try the following after adding photos.
Go to file
Then Home Sharing
Select photos to share
Click on All Photos already selected Do anyway
When Apply turns black click on Apply
Now go to Apple TV to see if photos there
Or restart iTunes.
Works for me every time photos do not appear on my Apple TV 3

Iphone 4s not showing up in iTunes, even though I have done everything suggested by Apple

I have an iPhone 4S and the latest version of iTunes.
Everything worked fine untile one day, the iPhone stopped showing up in iTunes. I have not installed any other software during that time.
I have done everything suggested in Apple's support pages and reinstalled iTunes and all Apple software as suggested.
My iPhone is showing up in iTunes when I connect it to another computer with iTunes installed.
Any clues as to what may cause this on my computer?

I think what is happening is that you changed the email address for password recovery to the new one - the Appleid (and software "attached" to it) remain irrevokably linked to the id you purchased it with.

Something has gone wrong. Force the phone into recovery mode, as described here, & restore it:
