Succession planning the Evaluation path

What evaluation path is used for Succession planning to determine the structure, IN OC we know it is standard delivered
MSS_OCI_MIN

Hi Siddharth,
STVN SuccessionPlanning 3.0 SP2 uses the HR-OCI view TMC_O_S_CP_ORG. The parent view is TMC_O_S_CP_SUPO. For 3.0 (and I believe SP1) it uses TMC_O_SUCC_T.

    Hi,
These Evaluation Paths are nothing but Relationship between objects.
"S" is position hence the first relationship tells that Position belongs to particular Organisational unit"O".
Same way other relationships can be understood.Still if you have doubts, pls. feel free to ask.
    Best wishes.

  • Evaluation Path and Plan version

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone please help me understand the concept of Evaluation Path and how the Evaluation path and the plan version settings are used in real time scenarios.
    Thanks,
    Sindhu.

    Hi,
See, a reporting structure, staff assignment, organization structure are all evaluations paths themselves. The relationship between objects is defined.
A lot of standard evaluation paths exist. But in case you dont have the path which meets your requirement you create a new one.
Suppose you want to find out which all Tasks are linked to a job which is linked to a position which reports to an Org Unit
so your evaluation path will traverse Org unit then position then the job then the tasks assigned.
A relationship between an object is also a evalution path
    hope this helps
    Ajay

  • T-code of the window where it asks for evaluation path.

    Hi,
I want the T-code of that window where it asks for evaluation path. I want to generate the report in OM

    Hi,
If you are creating repoert through HIS tool, you can use OODS T code to declare the Evaluation path.

  • Evaluation path - accessing of the direct employees by the manager.

    Hello Experts,
I need to configure the evaluation path , using which the managers can access all the direct employees.
Can u all please help me with this.
It would be really helpful if u could suggest some documents to refer.
Your answers will definitely be awarded.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi...
you can creat the evalution path in IMG -> PM -> PA  -> OM -> Basing setting -> evalution paths..
    1. select the evaluation path and make the relationship between the objects..
    2. test this in easy access under geneeral structures..
but if u want to assing that evaluation path to spcefic user, then  u need to user structureal authorisation..
which is different from general authorisation management..

  • SAP HCM- Evaluation Path

    Hi,
under the organisation management evaluation path, the system has specified the path as : O-S-P whereby its from organisational unit to position.
In the entry profile for employee selection, the evaluation path the system uses was O-S-P, the problem is when I tries to search for it,  the evaluation path for o-p cant be search.
What should I configure to make the O-S-P defined under organisation management to appear in entry profile-employee selection?
    Thks:)

    Thks.
For shift planning-Entry profile is there a need for us to define the evaluation path? The evaluation path like O-S-P like for example under the:
    Retail Department (Org unit)
    Eng Department(Org unit)
       Sales Assistant(Position)
         Yanyu(Person)
         Jenny(Person)
         Miki(Person)
Is this path like how we get our employee for shift planning?
    Thks:)

  • OM: Evaluation Path

    Hi,
I need to do the following:
Using the general structure interface, display the u2018implementationu2019 structure (object type u201899u2019 and evaluation path u2018BZ99u2019) from root object u201800-XYZ Implementationsu2019.
But I do not have the Object Type '99' & evaluation path 'BZ99':
    Can you please advise:
    1) How to create the Object Type '99' in the table T778O ? Can I copy the existing standard Object Types ?If yes then which Object Type?
    2) How to create the evaluation path 'BZ99' in table t778a?  Can I copy the existing standard Evaluation Path ?If yes then which Evaluation Path?
    Thanks!
    Manish

To create custom object types.. u can create in Tcode OOOT..
    Maintain Object Types:
    IMG->Personal Management->Organizational Management->Basic Settings->DME->Maintain Obj Type
    New Entries:
    eg:
    88     X ORG UNIT     BEBAC
We can create our own object types inspite of standard SAP and we can change the SAP object name if necessary. We can create with 2 digits such as customer specified range is 01 to 99.
    Relationship Maintenance:-
    Maintain Relationship:
By creating relationship between the objects we can build up or display the enterprise structure.  We have 2 types of relationship
    u2022     Bottom UP is A/B
    u2022     Top To Bottom B/A
Relationshipu2019s are the special sub types of IT 1001
If you maintain one relationship the inverse relationship is automatically setup by the system
Inspite of this we can create our own relationships.
The no ranges are AAA to ZZZ.
You can use this range for creating only customer specified relationship
    DME->Relationship Maintenance->Maintain Relationship->New Entries
eg:ZZZ     X Reports TO     X Line Supervision Of
If the Relationship is for particular objects
    Select the relationshipallowed relationshipnew Entriesenter the new objectO(object Key)
    O     Org Unit     A     ZZZ     X represents to     O
O     Org Unit     B     ZZZ      Line Supervision     O
To view go to P01Ø (The assigned objects key screen)
Even time constraint can be assigned .if it is not there in the table thennew Entries
Maintain Evaluation Paths: is an instruction to the system which objects types and relationships are to be included in an evaluation of your organizational plan. This is basically useful for organizational or reporting structure. We can create our own evaluation path.
    i.e. customer specified EP.
    It should start with Z
    T.C-00AW
    Table-T778A

  • Evaluation path in Organizational Management

    Hi everyone ,
Can anyone explain me what is the Evaluation path in Organizational Management?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi.
Evaluation paths represents a chain of relationships between object types.
By specifying the several objects and relationships the evaluation path will analyse your organization structure and retrieve the several objects included on it.
You can maintain evaluation paths on img -> Personnel Management ->Organisation Management-> Basic Settings-> Maintain Evaluation Paths
Using SAP documentation to be more precise:
An evaluation path is an instruction to the system which determines which object types and relationship(s) are to be included in an evaluation of your organizational plan.
One or more relationships are then used as "Navigation paths" for evaluating structural information in your organizational plan (relating to the organizational or reporting structures) or matrix organization. The sequence of the relationships included in the evaluation path is decisive in how the results of the evaluation are displayed.
    Example
Evaluation path "Staff assignments along organizational structure" (SBESX):
No.  Object type A/B  Relationship  Priority  Type rel. object  Skip
    010 O B 003         *             S
    020 S A 008         *             P
    030 O B 002         *             O
For more information on priorities, see also: Priority
First of all in this evaluation path, the positions assigned (S) to an organizational unit (O) are determined, then, the holder (P) assigned to each position is determined. As well as this, the next organizational unit down in the organizational structure is determined, the above procedure then takes place for this organizational unit. This procedure is repeated for all further subordinate organizational units.
In the "Skip" field, you specify that a particular relationship is to be included in the evaluation path, but that the last object type in this relationship is not to be displayed.
So, if the skip field were selected in the first line of the above example, this would mean that the organizational units and persons would be displayed, but not the positions that the persons occupy.
    Activities
    1. Check the evaluation paths in the SAP standard system.
    2. Create your own evaluation paths. These must be alphanumeric and have a- maximum of eight digits. They must begin with the letter "Z".
    Further notes
Each relationship is defined by its short name ("A002", for example) and the evaluation text as an evaluation path and can not, therefore, be changed. You can change the evaluation text but not the short name of other evaluation paths.
Create new evaluation paths, if you have defined new objects and want to carry out evaluations for them in conjunction with object types that already exist. You also need new evaluation paths if you are modifying existing evaluation paths, by selecting a "Skip" field, for example. Copy the evaluation path into the customer name space (beginning with "Y" or "Z") and enter an evaluation path.
    Regards,
    Pedro

  • Evaluation paths in MSS

    Hi
Our client is using "matrix" relationships A/B002 (is line supervisor of) in their organisation and wants to display them in MSS (latest version) teamviewer. We are using evaluation path WF_POSIT (User/person has as position)as rule for root objects and ORGA-P (Supervisory and subordinate positions with person display) as rule for target objects. However we are only able to show relationships 002 which are below the manager's position in the organisation and not those which are elsewhere in the organisation. This worked before with the client before our upgrade project.
Can you advise if it's possible to show the 002 (is line supevisor of) relationships in MSS from all over the organisational structure (not only below the manager) with these evaluation paths or should some others be used?
We can only see the 002's below the manager with or without structural authorizations and before the upgrade the evaluation paths were not modified from standard and permitted relationships are also the same.
    Any thoughts would be helpful.
    -JT

    Hello Raj,
you need so called Structural Authorizations to accomplish your requirenment. But be aware this has a direct effect on your entire HR-based Authorization concept in your company if you switch it on!
To activate Structural Authorizations call transaction OOAC and set the switch for ORGPD to a proper value which does meet your needs. (See http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/c7/4aba3b3bf00152e10000000a114084/frameset.htm) If it is already set to a value <> 0 is is already activated.
The next thing you need to do is to maintain your Manager Role. The authorization object in question is P_ORGIN. If you want for instance to give a user read access to Infotype 0001 of another person you provide the following values:
    - AUTHC: R
    - INFTY: 0001
    - PERSA: *
    - PERSG: *
    - PERSK: *
    - SUBTY: *
    - VDSK1: *
If you would stop here, every user would have access to Infotype 0001 of any other Person in your company. But as you want to restirct the access to just persons which lay within you evalution path B002, you have to maintain tables T77PR and T77UA.
T77PR: Create a Profile (e.g. name it My Team or something) and add the following values: http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/34/49ba3b3bf00152e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    - Planversion: 01 (most likely)
    - Object Type: O
    - Evalution Patch: <Hint> You cant use B002 directly as B002 just give objects of type O back, but you  need object of type P. Use SBES for instance.
    - Status Vector: 12
    - Depth: 0
    - Function Module: RH_GET_ORG_ASSIGNMENT (Gives you the root object where to start the evaluation with path SBES.
Now you need to assign your users (in your case your managers) to this profile. Use table T77UA to do this.
    Thats it
    regards

  • Error with Recursive Evaluation Path in PD Profile

    Dear Experts,
I’m facing an issue using a recursive evaluation path inside a PD profile (transaction OOSP). My scenario is that a Central Person (CP) object is linked by 2 Person (P) objects.  I want the PD profile to give access to 2 Person (P) objects as long as I have access to either 1 of the Person (P) object. I have an evaluation path that is created using transaction OOAW as follows:
    10 P     A 209     * CP
    20 CP       B 209     * P
The problem that I’m encountering is that the P object goes through a recursive loop during the evaluation path, i.e. the 2 P objects that are evaluated as output gets passed in as inputs again and go into a loop continuously. Is there a way to resolve this recursive issue or other alternative resolution that could meet my requirements? Thanks.

Use field "Function Module" of table T77PR. You can program what you want yourself. Use function module RH_STRUC_GET to get the CP from the P, and then again RH_STRUC_GET to get the P from the CP. Add the resultings P to the output parameter. Press F1 on the field to see how the FB should look like.

  • HR - Evaluation Path Issue

    Hi ,
There is a custom FM which is using  std FM   RH_STRUC_GET_MULTIPLE_ROOTS' to get back hierarchy of organisation .
A custom evaluation path has been created and is being used - ZX.
Now RH_STRUC_GET_MULTIPLE_ROOTS' is returning incorrect results. I need to check whether the evaluation path is defined properly. looks like there is an error in definition which might be causing this problem.
I have no idea how evaluation path works. Could you please let me know the tcode where i could check on the custom evaluation path and rectify the error?
    Thanks in advance

    thanks for the reply.
I can see the evaluation path in table t778a. In tcode ppss i do not know what the object id and object type for the evaluation path are?
Any idea if there is any other way to check details?

  • How to create own evaluation path

    Hi Experts
Can anyone of the HR experts let me know how to create own evaluation path to be used in Function Module 'RH_STRUC_GET'.
    Thanx,
    Rahul

    Hi
To maintain evaluation paths, choose the IMG activity SAP Web Application Server ® Business Management ® SAP Business Workflow ® Basic Settings (Organizational management) ® Number range maintenance ® Maintain evaluation paths. When the system is in operation, use transaction OOAW .
Here you will find the maintenance view Change evaluation paths: Overview.
Assign a name to the evaluation path (maximum of eight alphanumeric characters).
Go to the dependent view Evaluation paths (individual maintenance).
Describe the relationship chain to be used for the evaluation.
To establish the permitted relationships for an object type, use report RHRELAT0 .
