Sudden change in how website appears in browsers

I've been using Contribute to update our website for over a year now with few problems. The last updates I made were adding a couple of links a few days ago. Now all of the sudden when you view the website through a browser (doesn't matter if it's IE or Firefox) everything looks awful. A lot of things were center justified (and they still appear that way when I open a page to edit it) but now when viewing the page through a browser, everything is way left justified. I edit a select number of pages that are part of a larger state government website, so there are parts of the site that I can't edit (bars/columns of information on L and R sides of page, etc).
Does anyone have any idea what happened or how I can fix it?

Running Firefox 15.0. Hotmail suddenly changed appearance and my page is not at the bottom of the screen. The top 5/6 of the page is a series of horizontal blue strips. Text in the blue section is the Windows Live titles like "Home, Devices, Mobile, etc". When I try to compose a new message, text from the blue area partially covers the "To" button, so I have to position the cursor at the very bottom of the button to enter an address. I tried Hotmail in IE and it appears just fine, so it must be a compatibility problem between Hotmail & Firefox. Hotmail has not responded to my email questions. I could understand if this happened at the very beginning of a session, just after I power up, but this happened after I had been active in Hotmail and other sites. Other sites are not affected, just Hotmail, and just in Firefox.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a (too) high value can cause issues.

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with overlapping text.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

That's caused by the "Smart zoom" feature of the magic mouse. It's a Double tap with one finger to zoom and repeat to unzoom.
You can turn the feature off if desired in System Preferences > Mouse > Point & Click tab

Could have to do with home sharing. Try turining off and then back on home sharing on your AppleTV.

You dont have to put everything onto your webserver first. You can start with DW locally (with all files stored on your computer) before uploading a completed site to your server.

If this is a Name valid with the AIM servers the password has to be 16 characters or Less.
The Apple IDs from MobileMe and @Mac.com allow you to create (And prompt your for ) Longer passwords.
These Names are Valid with the AIM servers but they cannot process the password.
Use iforgot to Change the password to something shorter.

If you are using a Google ID then you have to enter your Google ID as it appears when you log in to the Google Web Mail Page.
The Mail App seems to allow the Endings (@gmail.com and @googlemail.com) to be used almost interchangeably where as the Jabber Server Google run for Google Talk is stricter (so iChat needs to be precise).
Also the chat option needs to appear in the Web Mail page.
If it does not it needs Enabling on you Google Account settings page.

May have been a switch from RGB to CMYK.

I tried changing the brand name of Mozilla Firefox. It changed the brand name which appears on the browser but it didn't changed the brand name appearing on volume mixer. So how can change that one too?

then the signature will obviously be broken - i don't really know what backlash this will have, but it's definitely not worth the hassle (possibly windows giving error messages, anti-virus programs might report it as some threat and there might be problems with the firefox update mechanism, not to mention you'd have to repeat the procedure after every new update).

Icon appearance suddenly changed

On one of the 5 computers here, some of the application icons suddenly started changing from their "standard" appearance to a rather generic appearance. Those affected are all Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Acrobat. Remaining application icons (Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), did not change. The affected computer is not the one I use, and the user didn't advise me of this for 2-3 weeks after it started happening, so I have no clue what she may have done to make these do this. Nor do I have a clue what to do to fix it.
I have to think there is some setting somewhere that she somehow changed, but what? Where? These kind of generic icons are harder to see than the "standard" icons we are used to seeing, which have more color and a more distinctive appearance. (In the old days of OS-9, a similar problem would sometimes happen, and rebuilding the desktop would usually fix it. This is the first time I've encountered this problem in OS-10.) I had done no updates to this computer for 3-4 weeks prior to this happening.

Well, I finally got around to trying to fix this, and this line in terminal didn't do anything. (I opened terminal, copied and pasted this line and returned. Then restarted the computer.) Since then, I have also run all available OS updates, Microsoft updates, Adobe updates and repaired permissions (numerous times).
It's strange, because when you first open a list of documents, the normal (more colorful) icons are there, but very quickly, as the document sizes calculate and roll down the list, the icons change to these plain grey icons. (If they were larger, I think they are actually trying to resemble the first page of the document, but at the size they are in a list, they just look like a grey blob.)
I've not used terminal much. Are there some "tricks" I might not know?

I wouldn't be too concerned. The most likely cause is that someone is attempting to login and made a mistake in entering their Apple ID and typing yours instead. So, they are getting an error and offer to reset their password. But the email that generates is being sent to the real owner of the Apple ID they are entering, you. If you are really concerned, you can go to the Apple support site and reset your password yourself to be on the safe side.
