Sudden problem on iphone 6 and ipad in downloading e-mails to one e-mail address
From this Sunday afternoon one of my two e-mail addresses/ accounts, on both my iphone 6 and ipad, won't download e-mails. Things were fine from when I bought the phone at Christmas to Sunday afternoon. The download spins as though accessing the internet but Updated Yesterday appears (was last updated 13:51 25th Jan 15).
I have no idea what is causing this have deleted the account and re-entered it. The other e-mail account works fine on both iphone and ipad.
Urgent as run own business and can't access e-mails except through internet connection.
Can anybody help or does anybody else have same problem please?

Here is an article on troubleshooting email issues on iOS devices. Since it is happening on both your devices, I think step 2 might be the key.

I receive a "cannot get mail" message when my iPhone and iPad try to retrieve one of my email accounts. Since updating, it says to verify account information in mail settings. I haven't changed information.
Rarely data and settings are corrupted during an update. What happened when you verified the mail account settings as suggested? Even if they appear OK, I suggest deleting and reinstalling the account.

Problems in iPhone 4s and iPad 2 explorers
I am a newbie here so I do not kow how to ask
Learning Edge Animator and Muse I delvoloped a simple site and a simple animation, both works great in Windows 7 & 8 PC explorers (MS IE, Chrome and Safari for sure).
But on iPod and IPone (safari or chrome) the animation never ends. (I do not have a mac, yet)

In order to isolate the problem I had tried the the animation alone (meaning that the problem is not Muse)
The size (pixels) seems to be the problem
Any help, advise or tip will be appeciated...

I changed some of my graphic assets, from SVG to PNG.
I adapted the animation to the new assets, (lots of work).
I made a lot of tests. I have to solve lots of problems with resizing, even on a PC.
Finally the animation worked "fine" on the iPhone, but not really great,
I can make a statement:
This is not an issue of efficiency, is about it works or it does not works (efficacy?)
This is a bug, I know the product is new and so we have to wait it to mature.
I don’t know if it is Apple or Adobe to blame, no idea.
You can take my opinion as useful or throw it away, your choice.

Setting up iMac,2 x iPhone 4S and iPad 2 together for two people on same email address/account.
My wife and I share the above hardware.However we seem to continually run into issues of incompatibility as though we are not correctly set up.For example,if I text my wife it goes to iPad and also sends message back to me.She does not receive it.
It appears that we need some assistance on how to arrange our settings correctly.Ideally we don't want two email addresses.
Any help greatly appreciated.
BannocksIm not sure if I'm experiencing the exact same symptoms, but it seems to me every time the ipad goes to sleep / left unused for 8-10 minutes, the wifi link between the devices is lost, and i have to reconnect them again.

I am new to this community even though I have been a Apple user for years, so please forgive me if this question is not in the right section.
Has anyone encountered drastic shorter battery life both on iphone 5 and ipad since updating to iOS 6.1.2? I've always been happy with these two products until the update - now the battery life is considerably shorter which is extremely frustrating.
How can this problem be solved? Is there any way to go back to the previous version?
Thanks for your help.If you update using iTunes the phone is first wiped clean, then the new OS is installed, and finally the backup is restored. After this finishes if you sync your music should be restored. Music is not in the backup, because it is already on your computer and duplicating it would use up a lot of hard disk space.
An OTA update just patches what has changed; it does not disturb content. -

my iphone 5 and ipad 4th generation having the same problem of connecting to wifi, cannot load app store and cannot connect to itune store... help !!
Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo. -
I've just bought Apple TV and want to mirror whats on my screen on my macbook, iphone 4s and iPad 2 on to my tv screen but it's not working. I can't seem to find the airplay option at all on either of my devices and the logo when it is an option is also not appearing. Any help on this would be great!
Is Airplay enabled on Apple TV? Are all devices up to date?
What model is your computer, mirroring requires it to be 2011 or later. It also needs to be running 10.8
Make sure router is up,to date and check settings.

My brand new nano 7 is not recognized by iTunes. I ran diagnostics and it stated under "Device Sync Test" that "no device found". My iPhone 5s and ipad 3 all sync without issue. The online chat with Apple didn't work either. I have uninstalled, reinstalled iTunes and have the latest update. Any suggestions?

If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

Found solution to problem - others might want to read it so here goes:
My equipment and previous working setup:
iPhone 4s with IOS6; iPad 2 64 Gb WiFi and Celluar with IOS 6.
Have 6Gb "tablet share plan" which allows me to use the iPad on the iPhone plan.
Always tethered iPad to iPhone on WiFi to backup on iCloud instead of looking for public Hotspot.
Problem:
Suddenly iPad would not tether to iPhone on WiFi.
Tried repeatedly and would not work.
My solution:
Switched off Facetime on iPhone and iPad.
Deleted Facedial App on both iPhone and iPad.
Success!
Now iPad will tether to iPhone on WiFi and backup on iCloud.
Then switched on Facetime on iPhone and WiFi tether to iPhone Hotspot still works.
Have left Facetime off on iPad and have not reloaded Facedial.
Have run this several times and no further problem.
Conclusions:
Possible problem/bug with/in IOS 6?
Or with Facetime?
Or with Facedial?
Hope this helps others and lessons the frustration the problem can induce.

I have searched numerous threads but cannot appear to find a mac based solution to my problem.
I recently had to dig out my old macbook pro 3,1 as my new macbook suffered unfortunate unrepairable damage. It is running os 10.7.4
My wife's iPhone 4s is able to wifi sync with it but my iphone 4 (running most recent software ) and my iPad 1 are not seen by wifi.
I have the option to enable wifi syncing ticked. My base station is a dual band time capsule running the most recent software 7.6.1, there is also an apple tv on the network.
IF I attach the iphone 4 or the Ipad by USB they will sync but when I remove them they immediately disappear from the side bar. If I attempt to go to settings general, wifi sync and manually select to sync I receive the message that sync will start once computer becomes available. They are all on the same network
I have restored both the iphone 4 and ipad, reseted network settings on the iphone and ipad, reseted the time capsule settings and deleted itunes and re installed it. All to no avail.
Any proposed solutions I have found via google are for windows based systems, any advice would be appreciated.I am having this exact same issue. None of my wifi syncing devices had backed up in several days. The only way to get it to backup is right click on the device and actively select "backup".

IPhone 5 and iPad 2nd gen weak wifi pick up after iOs 8.0.2 update

I have had my iPhone 5 since September 2012 when it first came out and had never have any problems with it with regards to picking up wifi signal. I had battery issues as the phone got older but it didn't really bother me and I had it sent over to Apple to have the sleep/wake button issue resolved about two weeks ago. Since then, I have purchased the iPhone 6 and gave my old iPhone to my husband. As I'm the one who deals with all the gadgets, I do the updating stuff. My iPhone 6 is on the latest iOs 8.0.2 and it doesn't have any problem whatsoever. My iPhone 5 and iPad 2nd gen (3g + wifi) also had the latest iOs update and both have recurring problems now. Both have problems picking up up wifi signals. Even when I have the iPhone 6 next to them, which has full bars (wifi), the two older gadgets are struggling to pick any signal at all. And if they actually get onto the internet, I only get 1 bar and the internet surfing on them are as sluggish as ever. The battery on the iPhone 5 has drastically gone downhill as well. I have tried to change the WPE/WPA2 connection on the router but it is still the same. I even tried to "Forget the network" and logged in manually again to no avail. The keychain thing on iCloud has been turned off but no change has been noticed. Is there anything else I can do to have this issue resolved? Cannot Sync All Songs In My iTunes Library to My iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2
I have over 10,000 songs in my iTunes library--about 7,000 are songs I ripped from CDs and about 3000 are songs purchased through the iTunes store. I am able to sync all the songs to my iPod Classic without any problem. However, only about 7,000 songs are synced to my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2--a mix of all the songs purchased and some of the songs ripped. How can I get my complete library synced to the iPhone and iPad, both of which are 128 GB and have plenty of room for the songs.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Issues syncing iPhone 5 and iPad mini with outlook calendars
I am having issues syncing my iPhone 5 and iPad mini with Outlook calendar. This is a new problem since I upgraded to IOS 7. I am now using ios 7.0.2. I have removed air sync for calendars and that has not resolved the issue. Nothing new on my calendar is syncing to my phone or ipad. Any suggestions?
