Sudden prompt for Bitlocker key without Any Hardware, Bios or Software Changes

My 3 Dell Windows 7 Enterprise laptops suddenly prompted me for a Bit locker key with out any changes made to them. I just wanted to find the root cause of the issue as I made no changes to the laptop. Looking at the Microsoft page for Bitlocker failures
found nothing that might have caused the bitlocker recovery key prompt. One of the three laptops I had in my draw and haven't turned on for few months until yesterday.
Only common thing between the laptops they were all encrypted about the same time a year ago and until now I have never been prompted for the bit locker recovery key.
Looking through the system logs I found the two error messages below on all three laptops.

I can't find any useful information regarding these error logs so hoping someone here might be able to help me in find out the root cause of this issue.

Hi,
Please update the BIOS to improve the stability for TPM.
I also would like to suggest you disable and enable BitLocker again to reset the settings, which may waste you a little time.

Is it a Chinese Editon preinstalled in HP notebook?
Windows 8 preinstall machine includes a license key in system firmware. So Windows 8 setup will use this key rather than pop up product key input text pop. It is a Microsoft by design issue. So no good mathod to workaround this problem.

dianneb, great question and thanks for the help Weth. The good news is if you're on More Everything the mobile hotspot would be apart of your plan just as Weth mentioned. What you just want to keep in mind is that the usage from the tablet while connected to the hotspot would take from your current plan allowance. Hope this helps!

Recieving mail has nothing to do with the SIM in the phone.
You cannot trace an iPhone with IMEI number. That could only be useful for identifying a found phone as yours.

Activate standard badi - prompts for Object Key?

In SE19 when trying to activate an SAP delivered implementation of a badi I'm prompted for an object key for the implementation class.
fyi Running ECC6 on Basis 7 kb14.
Go to SE19
Display badi FIAA_BW_DELTA_UPDATE
Go to environment menu, choose activate.
Notice that the activate option is greyed out?
Go back and change the FIAA_BW_DELETA_UPDATE badi implementation.      Go to environment menu, choose activate. You'll be prompted for an object key for the implementing class - CL_IM_FIAA_BW_DELTA_UPDATE.
Is this correct behavior?   We don't want to change the class - just activate it.    Could I get around this by copying the class changing the implementation class to a ZCL_IM_FIAA_BW_DELTA_UPDATE?

When you load the delta-enabled InfoSources of asset accounting, no time stamp information is updated in the OLTP system if you have selected "Simulation of the delta process initialization" (initialization without data transfer; technical mode 'S') as the update mode.
This affects the InfoSources:
1. 0ASSET_ATTR_TEXT
2. 0ASSET_AFAB_ATTR
3. 0FI_AA_11
4. 0FI_AA_12
As a result of the error, you cannot start delta extraction after the initialization without data transfer because the delta extractor does not find any time stamp information it can use.

When assets are changed, this BADI writes the corresponding change entries which are read by the extractors to determine the delta values. If this BADI is not active, the extraction terminates with error BWFIAA 001 (BAdI implementation FIAA_BW_DELTA_UPDATE inactive in source system). During a DeltaInit extraction with data transfer, the system flags the data request as incorrect or canceled in the monitor and issues the error message. However, during the DeltaInit extraction without data transfer, the system does not issue an error in the BW system even though the extractor triggered an error message and the termination of the extraction in the OLTP system. The data request in the BW system has the status 'successful' and the user cannot see that an error has occurred. However, a time stamp is not created in these cases since the following delta extractions would cause inconsistencies because the BADI would not be able to log all changes that have occurred since the last extraction.

Hello everyone,I've upgraded an Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 but problems started when the Exchange 2010 was removed from the co-existence.The desktop clients suddenly disconnect from the server and prompt for the user credentials, some times if the user provides the credentials right away it fails, but if the user waits about 1 minute, it accepts it. SCP suddenly prompting for password

I have a task running in launchd that transfers files to remote machines via scp and lately it's been failing. When I run the scp command on the command line, it prompts for a password. I have the rsa files set up on the local and remote machines and have been doing this kind of password-less login and file transfer successfully for a very long time. This just started happening. Does anyone know if any recent updates broke this? If so, what specifically is going on?
Here's what the failing scp command looks like:
scp /Volumes/data/secure1/public_html/forms/classifieds/sunlist.js [email protected]:public_html/forms/classifieds/
Every time the script tries to run in launchd, this shows up in the system log:

I had already found out about the permissions issue in Googling about this but I kept finding people recommending different permissions settings. I didn't know it was spelled out in the ssh manual so thank you for that. (And FWIW, it was already set correctly.)
The SSH connection does not fail, but then again, now I'm not having any problems with SCP anymore either. It seems to have gone away on its own so hopefully this is one of those mystery problems that just fixes itself.
Thanks for the info though. The -vvv flag will help next time if it starts up again.

Not prompted for encrytion key for /dev/mapper/home

I never had a problem setting up encryption on my last laptop, but for some reason on this new laptop I am having the hardest time with this...
I tried installing about four times because I thought I missed something. I have 3 partitions /boot , / and /home, during boot / prompts me for a key and works fine, but it doesnt bother asking me for a key for /home
In my /etc/crypttab i have
home /dev/mapper/home ASK
in my /etc/fstab i have
/dev/mapper/home /home ext4 defaults 0 1
during the install I did everything I thought necessary from the various archlinux wiki pages on encryption.
am I missing something?(obviously I am)

Here try this:
If you using WZC or the built-in wireless utlity of windows.
Go to network connections > right click the wireless network connections >
Go to the wireless network tab > delete all the prefered networks >
Try to reconnect to the wireless network again
If your using Linksys wireless utility or WLAN
Open the software > Go to the profile tab and delete all that you dont need
Try to reconnect to the network again
The profile or the prefered networks are lists of all the networks you have ever connectec to. I believe you did not change the SSID of your network when you secured thus your computer detects it still as an unsecured network

Bill went up drastically, for no reason, without any notice??

I just noticed on my credit card statement that I'm being charged $67 per month just for internet. When I signed up, it was $30 - an intro rate, of course. When this expired, the rate was $45 a month and I was happy to pay that. Now I'm seeing that I've been paying $67 for months and months... I don't even know how long, since I haven't looked at all my past credit card bills yet. How could the price change without any notice??? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm seeing that Centurylink is $30 a month for a year, and the normal rate is even lower than I'm paying now for Xfinity! I'm going to have to switch if I don't get this problem resolved.

AirPlay Mirroring for iPad 2 without any wireless network setup

I maybe jumping the gun here. Can anyone tell me that can this new feature of iOS5 work without any form of network.
What I mean is if I got AppleTV 2 , and iPad2, can I jsut stream what is on my iPad to AppleTV that is connect to a TV, without a Wif-fi or ehternet netork.
I search on the internet look like all the situation is that they still want inernet access for AppleTV, but in my case if there is no internet access for my AppleTV is fine, as I only want to stream what is on my iPad to a TV.

IF you have a Mac you can use that to create a network, turn on Wifi, under the Wifi tab click "create network"... give it a name... WEP encryption if you like... and voila you have a wifi network that your iPad and apple TV should be able to see and use without needing to connect to the internet.

I Live in a weird area with no hardwired internet connection.

If you intend to use your iPads data plan then that will require use of the tethering/hot spot feature. As I said, you will not be able to use airplay, that needs a wifi LAN (home network). This may change with IOS 8, but won't know for sure until the release.

Aperture suddenly asks for license key

I have used Aperture 3 for a long time. Now suddenly Aperture started to ask licensing during start. I doesn't accept my original Aperture 2.1 license key. For Aperture 3 license key I get message to enter original license key.
I have had problems with permission rights. Perhaps this has something to do with that?

That would explain a lot. Have you solved that permission problem by now? A frequent reason for licence problem is that the preference file is corrupted or unreadable. Then Aperture asks for the serial number, but cannot store it because it cannot modify the preference file.
So it might help to remove the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist file from your User Library to the Desktop; this support article explains how to do it; see the section: Delete User Preferences".

This operation will delete some of your settings, e.g. the the sizes of the subpanels in the application window, but all your presets and keywords will be saved.
