Suddenly cannot place or receive calls

I have a Blackberry Curve 9330, with Verizon as a carrier. For the last couple of days, I have not been able to place any calls. When I attempt to do so, either the call does not complete, (call was lost), or if it does go through, I get a very rapid busy signal. I have checked the carrier reception and it is strong. I have checked the WiFi...it is receiving a strong signal. I have spent hours trying to figure this out and have finally given up. I have taken the battery and sim card out twice, also, hoping to repair whatever it is that has gone wrong. Can anyone give me some ideas? Thanks

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, then see what happens. If the behavior stops, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
If the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you likely should seek formal support from VZW.
PS -- on VZW (indeed, all CDMA carriers), the SIM is not relevant...you can operate your BB just fine on VZW with the SIM not even installed at all. Perhaps you should try that as well...

Dial ##update# and push talk. It will give you a message that it is updating something then when it's complete the phone will work.

Cannot make or receive calls on specific locations

Hi there,
I had the iphone4 with iOS 5.0.1 and recently bought the 4S. After 10-15 days of use I am experiencing an antenna problem in specific locations (e.g. @home). When i arrive at home the iPhone 4S cannot make or receive calls with minor exceptions when suddenly a few SMS's (reporting incoming calls) received declaring that someone was trying to reach me.
I have never experienced such problems with the iPhone 4 under the same conditions (location, iOS5, etc.) and therefore I am suspecting that somehow the new antenna is being blocked (confused) perhaps of this new intelligent switching system.
When I leave home (a few hundred meters distance) the 4S become operational again!
Can anyone be of any help with this?

You haven't enabled VoLTE (Advanced calling) have you? Not that it makes a difference just curious.
Have you upgraded to Lollipop yet?

No 3g\wifi - Repair needed. iPhone cannot make or receive calls.

Just started getting this message on an IPAD:
"Repair needed. iPhone cannot make or receive calls. Contact Apple at www.apple.com/service."
3g and wifi is not working. The ipad has only been connected to itunes once when the device was set up so I'm worried about losing everything.
I've looked online a bit and found a bunch of users with this issue on their iphone but couldn't find many ipad users with the issue. It sounds like the only way to make it work is to "restore" it or get a new one. "restore" means factory reset? Will I be able to back up everything first?
I may try upgrading the device to ios 4 first.
Anyone else encounter this issue and know how to fix it?

Strangely it started working on it's own after a few days. Then I connected it to itunes, created a backup, and upgraded to 3.22. Of course it quit working on vacation then started working again when I was on my way home. I guess I better bring my laptop next time in case it acts up again. Too bad ipad and iphones are tied down and require a PC.

If you are restoring from a backup, that's your problem. The backup is corrupt. After you restore, you need to select "Set up as new." You will need to reinstall everything again.

Oh, and I can't hook up my iPhone to iTunes because it's locked with a passcode. I can't begin to type the passcode because of this stupid "Restore Needed - can't send or receive calls" thing. This is beyond silly.

I have a 9300 curve and for some reason I now cannot make or receive calls.
I am on Virgin network but so is my Mum & Dad and they have no problems.
Could I have pressed something by mistake?

I cannot make or receive calls on my iPhone 4S (just started this afternoon); however, I have all bars and 3G service. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Also the the second time I restored I did not set it up as new.
