As of today everytime I try to send an e-mail to anybody this message pops up. I have no idea what it means and it's very frusterating because I have a lot of e-mails i need to reply to and can't because of this.

Hmm thats very interesting. Yes webmail does work for me...I was able to send a message to my gmail account and my entourage program is still recieving messages but still not sending them.
The IP adress it showed me next to the "fed1rmimpo02.cox.net" was different then the 70.169.32.72. I wasnt sure if it would be a good idea to post it, being that I have no idea what the IP adress is asociated with.
Yah I'm conected through cox. Well maybe I just need to give it a little more time...who knows. I may call them later tonight if the service center is still open.

Make sure that your username and password are set in the outgoing mail servers setting.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

Having Exchange 2010 SP2 on standalone box on W2K8R2-std sp1
We enabled IMAP and POP3 for our user base who do not have Outlook or are facing issues with active sync.
mailbox gets configured however none of mails are sent via IMAP they remain stuck in user outbox only.
They can receive mails but can't send. we tried configuring same users on Outlook and activesync and it worked.
We were surprised with some mis-configuration at IMAP end but could't get to root of it. Any idea what could be an issue????
for imap testing we tried Zimbra 7.2.3 on windows 7 pro, Windows Mail app in windows 8.1. IMAP in windows phone 8
Have enabled IMAP and pop3 logging but couldn't interpret it.

Based on my knowledge, POP3 and IMAP cannot be used to send messages.
E-mail applications that use POP3 and IMAP4 to send messages rely on the SMTP protocol to send messages.
The connector for receiving e-mail submissions from client applications that use POP3 or IMAP4 is created automatically on every Hub Transport server.
We need a Send Connector.

Updated Firefox and now can't send messages in Facebook but can if I use other Internet Applications

Since the update of Firefox, when I try to send messages to friends in Facebook I get an error message stating that "message failed to send". Have not been able to find a work around. Have cleared History (Cookies and Cache). Facebook messages work on our other laptop which has not been updated and if I use other Internet applications like IE, My Opera etc

Messaging Server cannot send email to gmail but can send email to yahoo

I'm using Messaging server 7.0. My company's domain is {color:#ff0000}*sun-vietnam.com*{color} and the email server name is {color:#ff0000}*mail.sun-vietnam.com*{color}, this name is {color:#ff0000}*registered and resolved*{color} correctly in the DNS server of the ISP.
When using an email account form this domain, I can send email to an email address from {color:#ff0000}*yahoo.com*{color} such as {color:#ff0000}****@yahoo.com*{color} and the {color:#ff0000}****@yahoo.com*{color} account can receives this email immediately.
But when I try to send an email address to an email address from {color:#ff0000}*gmail.com*{color} such as {color:#ff0000}****@gmail.com*{color}, the email succesfully sent without no error notified, however the {color:#ff0000}****@gmail.com*{color} account cannot receives this email although I waited for serveral days.
If anyone know the solution to fix this problem, please help me, thanks all of you very much.

Entourage not letting me send e-mails but can recieve them...

Everytime I try and send an e-mail using entourage with my COX email account to any e-mail adress, the following error message is displayed:

Mail could not be sent.
Account name: "Isaac's COX E-Mail"
Error: -17099
My e-mail account was working just fine until recently when this problem started occuring. It only occurs with my COX account and will let me recieve all my email but not send any through this account. I called COX and they told me they can't help me with this problem other then going over the correct incoming/outgoing server names, which I confirmed are correct.
I have searched for this error code on google and on these forums but could not find anything about it...anyone know how to fix my problem so I can send emails again?

Here's what error code -17099 means:
Error -17099
Relaying to <the email address> prohibited by administrator
Email could not be sent
Account name (my account name)
Error -17099
Error -17099 is an Entourage error kSMTPServerReplyErr, and is returned when the SMTP server has returned a permanent or transient error or returns an unexpected result code.
This error is coming from your ISP.
Users have reported this error when sending to large groups. ISPs limit the number in a group. Usual number is 50 recipients to avoid spammer misuse. Entourage has no limit. You should contact your mail provider to ascertain the maximum number of recipients per message and note it. You can use the free "Split Recipients" script to send a mass e-mail in separate mailings automatically:
Is there some reason your ISP won't help you other than telling you the server names? It may be that for whatever reason your ISP has flagged your account as a spammer. I'd certainly contact them again.

Cannot view message in Inbox but can with Print Preview

Have IMAP, SMTP, and POP mail accounts in Mail.app. There are times when I receive a message and it appears as if the message was not downloaded completely. However, got to Print>Preview and I can read the message. Anybody else run across this and have a fix?

I have 3 email accounts through BT. My BTYahoo mail is now receiving and sending through macmail after reading the forum thanks. However my me.com account and 123-reg account (business) won't send as all outgoing servers are offline and no matter what I do they won't change. I have removed the accounts and set them up again to no avail. I have OS 10.8. Any ideas gratefully recieved.

Have you checked the tick box in the advanced outgoing mail setup screen to use SSL? This should use a different TCP port than standard SMTP that many ISPs block unless you are using the ISP servers.

I am not able to make calls from my BlackBerry Z30. From my earlier SIM I was able to make calls but now From other SIM i can not. it says that you are not allowed to make calls from this phone. how to fix it. felt even emotionally bad about it in front of my finance whom I gifted this phone. Plzzz help me out...!!!!

So you have already used the phone with a previous SIM card and the phone worked? .... meaning that you could make and receive calls?

Error appears: Cannot send message. this message cannot be sent at this time - has been appearing everytime i try to send e-mail for the past week!

For the past week I have not been able to send both simple and attached messages through my icloud e-mail.

Your outgoing mail server is different than your incoming server. Usually the outgoing mail server will have smtp in it. I noticed yours said "cannot send message using the server mail.wavecable.com". That sounds like an incoming mail server. Try setting your outgoing mail server to smtp.wavecable.com

Mail "Cannot send message" but Thurnderbird can

Mail is giving an error message "Cannot send message using server" - on all my servers including dot mac..but Thunderbird can, with no probs...
This happpened a couple of months ago and reentering all the settings did not work so I used Thunderbird with no probs for a while..then I archived my emails in Mail and trashed all the accounts settings.
Mail worked just fine for a few weeks..then the same problem
