Suddenly even iPad 10W only trickle charges
My iPad has been working fine for weeks and suddenly today it basically refuses to charge the battery. Even connected to the 10W charger, it takes hours to get even +10% charge. When plugged into the 10W, it doesn't show the charging symbol. When plugged into a PC, it doesn't even say "Not Charging" anymore.
Actually now that I'm trying to sync, the PC complains about not being able to recognize the device and I don't see it in iTunes anymore.
Plugging it into a MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, neither pops up iTunes for me either.
Hmm. Could the port have gone bad on the iPad??? Any advice out there?
In addition to the above:
Try a reset. The battery management software may need reset. To reset go to Settings, General, Reset, Erase All Content and Settings. _Warning: This will delete all data on the ipad._ Then, Reactivate the ipad and try charging again.
If that fails, it's under warantee so you can take it along with the charging cord and block to an apple store or contact apple support at:

That would mean the battery has failed and the iPhone needs to be taken to an Apple store genius bar for testing. Call/email ahead for an appointment to speed your time there.
Make a backup, preferably in iCloud, before going in case they want to replace the iPhone...if they do that they can restore the backup from iCloud to the replacement iPhone. -
I have purchased new ipad yesterday; it gets charged with adaptar but not with the usb?
What should i do?
It would appear that the USB port on your computer does not put out sufficient current to charge the iPad, or only will charge it very slowly. This is not uncommon particularly with laptop computers. Unless you can add a card to your computer that has USB ports that put out more current, obviously only possible with a desktop system, you will have to use your AC adapter to charge your iPad.

My iPad 10W charger isn't work after using it for 2 times only.
I used the new iPad 10w charger for only 2 times and it didn't work.
Does anyone get the same problem as me?There have bee a few reports of faulty chargers. Take your charger, cable & iPad to a Apple Store for evaluation. It will be replaced if defective. Make sure the 30-pin connector is fully seated, especially if you are using a cover.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. iPad not responsive. Even hold both the restart and Home buttons for 20 seconds.
Originally I can see the iPad symbol on the screen. Trying using iTune to restore it, then only the charging symbol is shown. iTunes can not even recognize the iPad anymore. What to Do When Your iPad Won't Turn On

All of a sudden my ipad will not turn on. Even on the charger, no go.
I will probably go to the Genius bar tomorrow, just thought I'd see if anyone else had a similar problem
ThanksHold power and home until apple logo appears.
And make sure the outlet is good.
Or try the first but by plugging it in. -
All of a sudden, my iPad won't turn on. I've had no previous problems. I plugged it in last night, at 9%. Took it to work this morning. It worked for a while. Then, I went to check email again, and it wouldn't come on. I hadn't noticed the power status, so I don't know if it didn't take a charge overnight. It's been plugged in again all evening, and still won't turn on. Any suggestions?
It's possible you have a defective charger and you don't have any juice left. The first thing you should try is a reboot: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go o both buttons and hopefully, your iPad will restart. If that doesn't work, it's possible you just don't have a charge left. You can trickle charge your iPad via your computer, it will take a loooong time, but even though it says it's not charging, it is, just verrrry slowly. If that doesn't work, it's probably time to make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your Apple Store. If of course your wall charger isn't charging your device, it could be as simple as replacing the charger.

My ipad has only 1% battery and it wont charge
My ipad has only 1% battery left, but when im trying to charge it, i wont charged even i plug to my macbook
Please help :'(What model iPad? Could be the cable, charger or iPad/battery.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
And this - Unplug the charger from the iPad and then replug. May resume charging.
Or - Recalibrate the battery. See link below.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

Suddenly my I pad won't charge. A box appears saying 'this accessory is not supported'. What accessory? What does this mean? Why has it suddenly happened? What do I do?
Hi Eileen,
With iOS 7, the devices have become more sensitive to the type of cable that is being used to charge the device. I have found that with my iPhone 4, once I upgraded to iOS 7, it became a little more sensitive to even my iPad charger. It doesn't always recognize it if I just plug it in, but if I slide it in slowly until I hear the charging tone, then I can push it the rest of the way in, and everything works as it should.
Any chance the cable is bent or frayed? How long have you had the device and cable? If it is under a year old, take it into the Apple Store (device and cable) so you can show them what is happening. They should replace your cable.
Cheers,

My iPad 3 will not charge. It will only charge if I keep it powered off or on the lock screen. What do I do ?
You probably using a 5W charger. Use the 10W charger that comes with your iPad.

Ipad will only charge with one charger, not recognize by pc or itunes
I have an Ipad 1. I bought a third party car charger to charge the ipad. I charged it with this charger one time. The next time I tried to charge the ipad with the original 10W wall outlet charger, it would not charge. I bought another apple ipad charger, thinking my original charger had quit working, it still would not charge. I plugged it back into the car charger and discovered that it will only charge on that particular charger. Now itunes nor my windows pc will recognize the ipad. I uninstalled itunes and installed the newest version. I also hard reset the ipad and now I have a worthless ipad that will not connect to itunes. Any suggestions?
It's possible that charger damaged some part of the connection on the iPad. There's little metal contacts on that small silicon chip sticking out of the port and if something happens to one of those little contacts it can effect how it works.
You can try taking it into an apple store and have them look at it. If you'd only used 'official' stuff there'd probably be no question but once they know that the damage, potential damage, was caused by a third party device, then it may be up to the discretion of the manager what they do with it. Whether they replace it under warranty or decide that the warranty is void (I honestly don't know how strict they can be with the use of third party devices and how they may/may not work) -
my ipad 3 currently has only 18% charge, ive just gone to click on the download button to download new ios 6 but its not highlighted so therfore i cant do it, is this because ipad needs more charge?
Yes, the update takes quite a bit of time (> 1 hr for my iPad2) and will not initiate unless you have enough juice in your battery or are plugged in.

At most time, my iPad mini doesn't charge at all. I have searched the problem on Internet, somebody says it is about the temperature, but the weather of the place I live ain't that cold. Once it can charge, it can only charge to 92% everytime. Someone to help me solve it? iOS 6.0.1!
Thanks, I'm use to apple products displaying a electric plug ensuring that it switched to ac mode.
