That indicates that you are trying to go from a previous anonymous activation to a 'named' (with an AdobeID) activation.
ADE tries to do this by associating your current anonymous (Adobe ebook DRM) account with the AdobeID.  What the error message is saying however is that your AdobeID already has an Adobe ebook DRM account associated with it (ie it's already being used), so it can't use that.
Your choices are:
1.) Deactivate the computer and then when you relaunch ADE authorize with your AdobeID.  IMPORTANT NOTE: this will mean that you will no longer be able to read any of your current content that is authorized to your current anonymous account.
2.) Create a new AdobeID and authorize with that new AdobeID.  IMPORTANT NOTE: this means that if you have purchased content (on a different computer) with your current AdobeID that you have to manage the two libraries seperately.

    ATtempt to power off your device and power it back on, if that doesn't work reset all settings should resolve it for you

  • Am appearing offline to buddies even though it says I am 'online'

    Hey all,
    I've tried searching these forums and done a lot of the suggestions (ie changing the ports, checking/unchecking SSL) but nothing seems to work. All of my buddies / coworkers have been complaining that I am 'not online', even though iChat / AIM says I am 'connected', online, and available. I'm still online, am able to talk to ANYONE (if I message them), but everyone says I am invisible. And yes, this started happening after I upgraded to Lion.
    I've tried using login.oscar.aol.com / slogin.oscar.aol.com, toggling between ports 80, 443, and 5190, even using SSL and non.
    Also: my coworkers, on the same network at work, seem to be using iChat fine and with the normal system default (SSL unchecked, login.oscar.aol.com, port 5190). This did not work for me.
    Anyone else seeing this error? I am at a loss. I've restarted, deleted my aim account and re-added it, all the normal fixes someone could think of.

    The Lion/iChat 6 upgrade makes the AIM Logins change the server name to api.oscar.aol.com
    This can apparently handle both SSL and non SSL logins (no Name change like earlier versions).
    However you can manually enter the older server name and the default port and Server names appear when you swap between SSL and Non SSL logins (slogin.oscar.com and login.oscar.aol.com)
    (you do not say if your colleagues are using Lion/iChat 6)
    It is true that the older servers would accept a login on almost any port.
    We took to suggesting port 443 as this is open in most routing devices and used by Mail apps and Web Browser when doing Secure Logins.
    Differences in what iChat has set as the Logged in Status and what Buddies see can be down to another login somewhere else that you may have forgotten about.
    AIM express, even on a phone, has a default Login period of two weeks (unless you change it if you don't specifically Log out when you have Finished.
    Obviously you could also have another app logged in that can do AIM Logins. Adium or ProteousX seem to be the most popular.
    I would set iChat to Not allow Multiple Logins  and then restart iChat.
    This way you will get a Message from "AimSysMessage" as a Buddy asking if you want to log out the other Login (if there is one)
    Replying with a "1" (no Quotes) logs out that other instance.
    I would then restart iChat again just to make sure there are not other logins.

  • My FF has been hijacked by Bing and I can't undo it even tho' FF is my default browser

    It's as above. It's been going on for about 2 weeks and has taken over both IE and FF. It has me paralyzed on FF. I can't access my homepage at all. I finally totally removed FF and reinstalled it again (3.6). I can escape it on IE but I have to do it everytime I access my homepage.
    In addition, Lots of things have disappeared from my webpages...most graphics, optin boxes. I see black text and outlines of boxes and that's about all.
    I don't know if they're related but I need help!
    FF is set as my default browser so I can't figure out how this happened as I've never used Bing!
    I'm using windows vista on an HP laptop.

  • Ipod Touch can't browse Safari, even though it is connected to the Internet with a full signal...

    I asked a question a few days ago about my Ipod Touch's Internet not working and someone suggested that it was because my router has the same IP as the DNS when using the DHCP setting. So what I did was changed the IP to Google's universal IP (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and I am still having the problem of not being able to connect to the Internet. My router is an SMCWBR14S-N4 and I updated it to the latest firmware (September 2010). I was looking at an article about iOS recommended settings for WI-FI (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199) and I did everything it told me to. I set my SSID to a unique name. My network is not hidden. MAC address filtering is turned off. My security is WPA2-Personal (AES). My network is 2.4 GHz and is set to 802.11 b/g/n. My channel setting is auto. Channel width is 20 MHz. My only confusion is the DHCP server and NAT. I believe I only have one DHCP server on my network but I am unsure of how to figure that out. I believe NAT is only enabled on my router but again I am unsure if it is or not.
    My Network settings are:
    DHCP
    IP Address 192.168.2.101
    Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
    Router 192.168.2.1
    DNS 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
    Search Domains and Client ID are blank.
    HTTP Proxy is off.

    Correction: I am aware that the WI-FI disconnects when locked. I set my Touch to never auto-lock and have not locked it manually.
    * When I reset my network settings, it did not work.
    * When I flip the WI-FI button off and back on, it seems to fix the problem but only temporarily.
    * When connecting to Safari I get the message "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet."
    * If it were a DNS issue, I would get the error message "Safari cannot connect to the server" right?
    * My laptop can connect wirelessly to my Internet just fine.
    Anyway, I am asking for even the slightest bit of information that might help me since I have tried everything and am still unable to fix the problem.

    iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server

    We are facing this weird error where I am given access to VS Online. I see it on my VS Online Account Profile (under "Accounts") but when I click it and login, it says this:
    It's weird because it is listed under my "Accounts" when I go to my
    Visual Studio Profile. Same thing happens when I click it from there.

    I even tried on Visual Studio itself, but same error.
    Also tried on another computer but no luck :(

    Check to see if you have cellular data enabled for mail.
    Go to Settings > Cellular and check the apps under "USE CELLULAR DATA FOR:"

    I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with the most recent iTunes update. If you are having issues dragging individual files to your iPod nano when connected in iTunes, you may want to make sure that the "Manually manage music and videos" option is selected, as outlined in the following article:

  • So my iCloud account is on my phone and my old iPad. My ex has the iPad and even tho she says she turned it off, I know she didn't. I want my account to be my account only so what do you suggest I do?

    Go to http://appleid.apple.com and change your password (before she does). That will lock her out. Make it a strong password she can't guess.
    When you change the password please follow this procedure:
    1. Before doing anything, turn off 'Find my iPhone/iPad/Mac' on any devices it's enabled on.
    2. Sign out of iCloud on all your devices. On a Mac, System Preferences>iCloud and click 'Sign out'. On an iOS device, Settings>iCloud and click 'Delete account' (this will not delete the account from the server). Your iCloud-synced data will disappear from your device. If offered the opportunity to save it on your Mac, don't.
    3. Go to http://appleid.apple.com, sign in and click 'Password & Security' in the sidebar. Answer the security questions, if set, and then click 'Edit' next to the password field. Save.
    4. Sign back in on all your devices. Your data will re-appear (give it time). You can now re-enable 'Find My...'.
    5. I reiterate, before your start, turn off 'Find My...' or you will probably need the services of Support.
