Suddenly mu iPhoto disappeared. I cant find it in my mac

there was an update due, i made it and it erased my iphoto, i cant find it anywhere, what can I do

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

Apple keeps books for a short time (used to be 40 days. I've not seen a recent time frame)
    What version did you have?
Books do nor exist except in the iPhoto database so you can not "find" a book vista TM. You restore a previous library (be sure NOT to overwrite your current library) and switch to it

Simple process. If an iPhone go to the Apple Store and not Verizon

  • IPhoto Shared Library - Cant Find After Restore from Backup

Hello, I hope someone can help.  A couple of years ago I created a shared iPhoto library image (I believe it was a mounted image file) so that two (2) users on a single iMac could view/add files collectively.  I have been using the Time Machine backup since we purchased the iMac, and for years everything was fine.  Recently, the HD failed and we had to have Apple install a new one.  After successfully restoring all files/settings from the latest time machine backup, I noticed that the shared iPhoto library is no longer available.  iPhoto asks for the library location upon launch, but I cant find this file anywhere.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to bring this shared image file back, and remount it so that I can find my photos?
    Thanks for the help!

iLife requires 10.4.10, I believe. Have you updated back to that OS?

  • I bought a used mac air notebook the computer says it comes with iphoto but i cant find it help please

i need help finding i photo on my mac air

The license to use iPhoto is not transferable. It is included with new Macs, but it cannot be sold, so it will not be on any used Macs. You will not have iMovie or GarageBand either.
You must purchase your own copies of these apps from the App Store.

  • Downloaded Lion and updated iphoto now I cant find my phto or itunes libraries?

I downloaded the new Lion OS. I then updated Iphoto. Now I cant sem to locate my photo or itunes library. Any ideas?

Your iPhoto Library should be in you Pictures folder and your iTunes folder with all your iTunes music should be in your Music folder under you logged in user ID.
Did you upgrade to Lion from Snow Leopard when you downloaded Lion (assuming from an App Store purchase)? Or did you wipe/erase your hard drive and installed Lion that way? If the latter, hopefully you created a backup using Time Machine or some 3rd party image software like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. Your backup should have the same folders mentioned in the 1st paragraph that you can copy from.

  • I downloaded iWeb, and suddenly my iPhoto disappeared?

I had to download iWeb from the iLIfe '11 DVD. I customized it so I only downloaded iWeb, and no other app from the DVD. However, I noticed later that my iPhoto was gone. I did the spotlight search, and I don't have iPhoto anywhere on my hard drive, and I don't even have the iPhoto Library folder. Huh??? Why did it disappear, how do I get it back, and how do I get my photos back? Help! (I have a MacBook Pro, OS X 10.8.3)

    Is anybody out there? Hello?

  • CS3 suddenly has a startup error, cant find MFC71.DLL

Start CS3 normally, and suddenly get this error:
Adobe Photoshop CS3: Photoshop.exe - Unable To Locate Component (title bar
    of error dialog)
This application has failed to start because MFC71.DLL was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
    OK
I click on OK and CS3 starts, but with differences. Seems some of the
windows on the right are missing now. Bridge still runs fine, I can edit
RAW files from Bridge to ACR4.5, then open from that into Photoshop, then
convert and save the files. I don't seem to have a Layers palette now or a
    Tool Options palette.
I had just gone through and uninstalled a number of old applications. None
were Adobe programs though. Immediately after doing that, this error
    started.
I found MFC71.DLL, but putting it in the Photoshop installation folder
didn't help. Can someone tell me how to fix this? Hopefully without
re-installing CS3. I have also just discovered that my DVD rewriter will
not recognize the CS3 DVD, so doing a reinstall from the disk will require a
    new DVD drive first.
The Adobe updater works and I updated PS to 10.01, and still get that
startup error and have missing palettes.
    Thanks!
    Michael

It belongs in the Windows\system32 folder.
    I also have copies in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Updater and C:\Program Files\Adobe\CS3\Acrobat 8.0\Designer 8.0
All of the copies I found are version 7.10.3077.0

  • Cant find java on my mac

I have OS X 10.6.8 and can't find java on either my IMac and Macbook Air. Both have recently been in for major repair (harddrive replacement on IMac and processor replacement macbook air)
I've been on the java website but it only seems to offer downloads for OS X 10.7 and later.
Would appreciate any advice on what I need to do.
    Many thanks

    The latest updates deleted it.
    for Snow Leopard:

Note: Java 1.6 for Leopard is 64 bit only, but for Snow Leopard it is available for both 32 and 64 bit.

  • I cant find icloud on my mac

icloud no longer appears in my applications list.  All I did was reset photo streaming

No wonder. You're two operating systems behind. The only way you can use iCloud is if you are running Lion v10.7.2
    v10.5.8 is Leopard.
You will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard first v10.6.8 so you can download Lion from the App Store.
If you decide you want to upgrade, make sure your Mac meets Lion's requirements:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available spare

  • Cant find iPhone notes on Mac desktop

Hi, I have OS X Lion running on my Mac and my 'notes' from my iPhone are nowhere to be found. I tried the suggestion of 'un' then reselecting notes in preferences - iCloud but it didn't work. When I go to system preferences - iCloud, there is no box for notes. Only Mail & Notes. And when I deselect it and reselect it, the notes are still nowhere to be found.
On my other mac with the older OS the notes show up in the dock.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks

Also check your iPhone to make sure Notes are setup to Sync via the same iCloud account via iPhone -> Settings -> Notes -> Default Account
and iPhone -> Settings -> iCloud -> Account
and iPhone -> Settings -> iCloud -> Notes
The above iPhone info was for iOS 7 (not sure exactly what previous iOS version settings would be).

  • Cant find icloud on my mac!

I have a macbook, I have just downloaded the lastest software and yet icloud is still not becoming available its still mobile me!? I have tried to update software again but it say's 'no software available' ...help please?

From the sound of it you have 10.6.8 or earlier (please when you have a question post your operating system to prevent confusion and guesswork). Software Update will not upgrade you to a higher system, e.g. Snow Leopard to Lion, etc.
The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mountain Lion preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
To purchase it you will have to ring Apple at the number given at the bottom left of this page. With the release of Mavericks it's not as yet clear whether this is still available.
    The requirements for Mavericks are:
    OS X v10.6.8 or later
    2GB of memory
    8GB of available space
    and the supported models are:
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications). It replaces Mountain Lion (no longer available) but has the same requirements and the additional advantage of being free.
You should be aware that PPC programs (such as AppleWorks) will not run on Lion or above; and some other applications may not be compatible - there is a useful compatibility checklist at http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
(If you are running Leopard on an Intel Mac you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to access the Mac App Store - it's available in the online Apple Store. However if you have a PPC Mac you cannot run Snow Leopard and cannot proceed further.)
