Suddenly my browsing history has been deleted when I first open Mozilla
For 2 days now, I go to Bing, click the drop-down browser-history menu at the top, and all my previous browsing history is gone...everything. I had some sites there that I use daily, so this is really frustrating and for no apparent reason. There hasn't even been a Mozilla Firefox update (that I'm aware of) that I can blame it on. What's going on? Thank you.
Note that "Use custom settings for history" will be selected if at least one of the History or Cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes from the default setting have been made.
The "Use custom settings for history" choice allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
*Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" selection as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
*If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
*"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a check mark.

Download history has been deleted; can I retrieve it?
Inadvertently I hit the remove button in downloads
Firefox deletes just the history of the downloads, not the actual files. The actual files should be in your download folder.

I want to download Mozilla Firefox as an optional browser as I can only access a website for work through this browser. However, when I downloaded MF, even though I tick that I do not want it as my default browser or homepage, it downloads, but has removed my Internet Explorer connection. This has happened a couple of times now and is very frustrating. I don't know how to get my IE back and keep the option of MF available. MF seems to automatically delete/remove IE when it is downloaded. I am using Windows 8. I would appreciate help and advice to correct this situation. Many thanks.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply and support. The IE icon disappeared immediately after I downloaded MF. I tried to download IE again but without success. In the end all my icons on my start page disappeared, although I do not think this was to do with MF. I had to resort to restoring my lap top to factory settings for the umpteenth time and I have now got IE back but no MF. I will keep your advice and will try again when I am feeling brave enough and have sufficient time to try and download MF again. I am not confident with technical problems and greatly appreciate your help and support.

How can i see history that has been deleted?
I know that some history has been deleted and sometimes there is a web site that i went on and would like to see again but i cant because the history has been deleted.....how can i see what has been deleted?

Strange, when I delete an application from any of my Palm devices, it stays deleted and has never returned!
If the OP is referring to Docs To Go, there is an option to reinstall the handheld programs available in the Desktop version of Docs To Go.
Should be found up in the Tools or Options section (I'm on a computer that doesn't have it installed right now..)

Is it possible to recover safari browsing history after history has been cleared?
I have a 2012 iMac running Mavericks OSX 10.9.4 with a Seagate Backup Plus connected with Time Machine. I would like to restore safari browsing history to view some web pages from about two weeks ago. Safari history has been cleared. I think I need the history cache and or the history.plist but I'm not sure. I have 2 data recovery apps. One is Stellar Phoenix Mac data recovery and the other is Seagate file recovery for Mac. I just don't know if those are the correct files and if they may still be somewhere that they can be found in a still usable form.
I have searched this question on the web and found several answers that had step by step instructions on how to accomplish the task but none of the methods actually worked. The claims were all talking about older operating systems however.

Finally got a call this morning from an Adobe Rep and he explained to me the issue. He explained that I needed to uninstall the adobe product, in this case Photoshop CS6 and download it again and reinstall it! So, I did that and get the same message when attempting to open the newly downloaded software: "Could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleted). Please, if someone could help me as soon as possible! I am very anxious to remedy this situation. Thank you!
This seems to have cropped up a lot recently. What has seemed to work so far is intentionally resetting your preferences:
Reset Preferences
1) Close the program and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Win)/Cmd+Option+Shift (Mac) during startup (not reversible)
or
2) Move the Folder. See:

Make sure you are following these steps to delete the music from both your iPad and computer:
On the iPad:
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
Tap the Music app.
Tap the Songs category.
Swipe left to right over the song you want to delete.
Tap Delete.
On your computer:
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
Launch iTunes.
From the Library pop-up menu, choose Music.
Click Songs in the navigation bar.
Click the song you want to delete.
Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
In iTunes 11, the album cover art will remain visible, but a cloud icon will appear on it to allow you to download the item again (in countries that support this).
Note: If you didn't purchase a song from the iTunes Store, you won't be able to download it again for free from iTunes in the Cloud. You might want to back it up somewhere on your computer.

I had saved my pictures on iphoto, when I updated to OS X Yosemite iphoto has been deleted, I can't find these pictures or iphoto.

The last time I used CS5, I changed the scratch disc in the preferences file; now Photoshop will not open saying that the preferences file has been deleted. I didn't delete the file. How do I fix this?
As you open Photoshop, hold Control + Alt + Shift (or Command + Option + Shift on a Mac). That will trigger a preferences reset dialog, Photoshop will go back to default state when you do that.

Hi. My photoshop elements 12 has suddenly stopped working. When i tried opening it yesterday absolutely nothing happened. After a reinstallation I got to choose between opening picture browser or photoshop elements and when trying to open elements nothing happens. Now I have reinstalled windows but still with the same result. I was using the program for several months without problem until yesterday when it suddenly stopped working. Check the papers that came with your PC or the web site of the vendor. OEM versions are either on the recovery discs they provide or can be downloaded from their site.
