Suddenly my iCal has begun showing two lines for each birthday in my address book

Suddenly my iCal monthly view has begun listing two lines for each birthday from the address book. I didn't make any changes to the preferences. How do I return to one listing per birthday?

I've noticed this as well. I think it started with 10.7.4.

  • I imported events from iphoto into aperture and aperture is showing 2 photos for each picture, one original and one edited although none of the photos from iphoto had been edited. Any idea why this has happened and what I need to do to prevent this.

    I imported several events for iPhoto into Aperture3 and in Aperture it shows two photos for each photo imported, one original and one edited although none of the photos imported were edited. Why has this happened and what do I need to do to prevent this in future. I have only recently got Aperture and am trying to learn as I go along using the Focal Press guide. Thanks for any help.

    A photo that was rotated in iPhoto will also show up as iPhoto edited.
    This is not what I found to be the case in a recent experiment using iPhoto11- I did repeat it to be sure.

    Quickly, what I found is that only the ones I did actual adjustments on brought over two images.  Images that were simply rotated, had "quick fixes" or "Effects" did not bring in two images.  More importantly, among the ones with adjustments that did bring in two images, the ones with the keyword  "iPhoto Edited" appear to be nothing more than iPhoto's 6MB JPEG Previews.  The master was a 25MB RAW image.
    I don't know why some users are experiencing doubles on everything, but I recommend caution in deciding which ones to remove or you may find yourself deleting masters and keeping previews.

  • My new macbook pro (lion) iCal has been showing the wrong date?

    My new macbook pro (lion) iCal has been showing the wrong date for stored events - even though i have put the appointment in on the right date when I look it up a week or so later it has changed?
    I think it might be showing 2011 date? How can i fix this and do I have back-up of my original dates?

    Good to hear .  Happy computing!

  • Selection screen in Cc reporting showing two lines when changed Person Res.

    Hi Guruz
    I have changed Person responsible in Cost centre hierarchy. Now I have two interval with different person responsible 1st one is from 01.01.07 to 31.12.2008 and 2nd one is from 01.01.2009 to 31.12.9999. When I go to cost centre report and look for the cost centre fo this cost centre system is showing two lines one with 1st Person responsible and second with 2nd Person responsible. I don't know how to show only latest one on the selection screen in cost centre reporting, any thoughts on this one?
    Many thanks

    Hi
    I wanted to keep history as well as showing only latest line for cost centre on selection screen but unfortunately it's not possible.
    The only way we can do this is change the name of person responsible from 01.01.2008 and system will show only one line. In this situation we will loose the history of the pervious person responsible for that cost centre but that's the way it works OR if you want history then we have to live with more than one line.
    Many thanks

  • ICal only displays a single line for entries in month view.

    This means I can't see what my diary entries refer to.  Can I change it to show two lines or the full entry, as iCal did in Snow Leopard?

    Hi Guys, thanks for getting back to me.
    the problem is purely about design view display and not about coding.
    Below is how CS4 displays borders with two lines which I find difficult to decipher:
    Then below is Macromedia DM 8 and this how I want the borders to look, with single lines to display the tables.
    This may just be the way Abobe have decided to display tables in design view and there may not be any option to change it but if you know any way to change it I would be most greatful.
    Thanks again.

  • First two lines of each page... - Format Issue

    I have a manual I am currently updating.  I am unaware of how it was formatted initially but it is currently pushing the first two lines of each page all the way to the left margin.  I have checked everything I know to check for the format setting
    and have been unable to find anything out of the ordinary.  Anyone have any idea what causes this?
    I am using Word 2010

    It may be possibly due to the indentation setting of your document.
    To change it, choose the below option in your word file
    Home => Paragraph => Indents and Spacing => Indentation => Left (0 pi)
    Try if this work outs.

      I installed this same digitizer in my T|X some weeks ago.  Some discussion of my experience may be found in this Usenet posting and subsequent thread.
      The stock digitizer in my T|X had always had some significant alignment issues (for which PowerDigi was able to compensate very nicely) and sensitivity which was uneven, but which usually required a heavier touch than I liked.
      Eventually, it began to develop a “dead spot” near the upper left.  My T|X was under warranty, so I probably ought to have sent it in to Palm to be repaired, but I wasn't willing to be without it for the required amount of time, and I've heard enough reports of other T|X owners getting unsatisfactory results this way.  I'd heard enough good reports about the PDAPARTS.COm digitizer, that I decided that the only acceptable way to repair my T|X would be to install one of those.
      After however many weeks it has been, I am still very pleased with the results.  It continues to work flawlessly; it is much more sensitive, so it doesn't require nearly so heavy a touch, and I very much like the hard feel that it has, compared to the spongier feel of the stock digitizer.
      My wife's T|X still has its stock digitizer, and it has so far not shown any of the same problems that mine did, or for which the T|X has become notorious, but the feel is noticeably inferior.  She's content with it the way it is, but I think that if I were to ever buy another T|X for myself, I wouldn't wait for the stock digitizer to fail.  The PDAPARTS.COM digitizer is simply superior in every imaginable way; and, in my opinion, a T|X with the PDAPARTS.COM digitizer installed is sufficiently superior to one with the stock digitizer (even if it isn't defective) to be very much worth the expense and trouble of installing it.

    I have noticied that there are two entries for each archive log. Why this is so...?Mseberg already mentioned.. little in detail as below
    Check for the name column in v$archived_log,
    One location refers to Local destination LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1
    Other location refers to your standby/DR location, But it will shows you only service name instead of full archive name.
    select dest_id,name from v$archived_log where name is not null and completion_time like '%24%FEB%'
       DEST_ID NAME

    Thanks in advance.Pretty normal. The "unknown" is the static registration coming from the SID_LIST entry in the listener.ora file. The "ready" is the dynamic registration from the db instance itself.

    Hi to all.....

    here is a requirement
    i want to print vertical lines and horizontal lines for each and every field in the output of a report.Here i want to see the output just like table i.e i want to draw line after each field.
                             suppose if the output list contains just 10 records, then the vertical line must end for 10 records.how to draw vertical lines for this requirement.

    To get the 'handout view' with a slide and the speaker notes on the same page, you have to save the PDF file directly from PowerPoint (the later versions of Microsoft Office can make PDF files without the help of Acrobat).

  • Counting the number of lines for each procedure in a package

    Hi,
    I would like to write a query on USER_SOURCE that can display the number of code lines for each procedure/function in a package.
    Is it possible to write such a query? Maybe by using analytical functions?
    for example in the following example i would like to count the lines between "PROCEDURE proc1 IS" and "END proc1;" and between "PROCEDURE proc2 IS" and "END proc2;"
    SQL> select text  from user_source where name='PKG_TEST' and type='PACKAGE BODY';
    TEXT
    PACKAGE BODY PKG_TEST IS
      PROCEDURE proc1 IS
      BEGIN
        update t1 set EDITION_NAME = 'AAAAAAA';

      END proc1;
    PROCEDURE proc2 IS
      BEGIN

      END proc2;
    END PKG_TEST;thanks for helping

    I’m new to Aperture and neglected to mark RAW+JPEG pairs when I imported (from iPhoto).  Now I have two images for each photo.  Help!!  How can I change this?

    How did you import from iPhoto? If you saw the Import panel with raw -jpeg pairs, then you probably did not import your iPhoto library as library, but as files, and then you will see plenty of duplicates - previews, thumbnails, originls, edited versions. If that should be the case, it would be better to delete the import from iPhoto and to import your iPhoto library again, but this time using "File > Import > Library".
    Only that would require compatible versions of iPhoto and Aperture.  What are your Aperture and iPhoto version numbers?
