Suddenly, nothing happens. Firefox opens, but no subject opens.

If I put a subject in the space for it, nothing happens. This has never happened before. What could possibly have happened to cause this, and how do I restore normal functioning?

Now for your problem, I would try, if updating Firefox doesn't work, running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. It is possible that you have an extension which is interfering with Firefox's normal operation.

    Well, trash (re-set) your preferences right away.    That's always step number 1, even before posting.
    On the Mac, Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility is also a useful first step.
    To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

    Standard troubleshooting...
    Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
    If still a problem restore with your backup.
    If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
    If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

    You're presumably talking about the Firefox home page. After you type in a search term, hit Enter.
    If that doesn't work, then update to Firefox 4.0.1 by clicking Help | About Firefox | Check For Updates. Then try again.
    If the problem persists, disable AVG Safe Search by clicking the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Extensions and you should be able to find it in there.
    If you don't have the AVG app installed, try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

  • When I click on a link in an email, nothing happens; Firefox used to open the page. I am using a Mac computer, latest OS, and the Mac mail program.

    I have tried quiting Firefox and setting Safari to my default browser. Links open on Safari just fine. When I go back to Firefox as my default, I continue to have the same issue, links will not open in Firefox.

    You can also quit and relaunch Firefox and then
    the link will open in mac mail.

  • I inserted my brand new ADOBE Photoshop CS5 Extended installation disk, and nothing happens.

    I got my education code online, but when I put the disk in, absolutely nothing happens.

    Simply open the drive/ volume and run the setup application.

    Nothing happens when I try to print if I'm using Photoshop, or Acrobat. Sometimes nothing happens in InDesign, but it worked fine with illustrator. I haven't had any printing problems with other non-adobe applications. Also Photoshop can find my scanner and scan from it just fine. The printer is an Epson all-in-one and the drivers are up to date. My os is OSX 10.9.2 but I had this problem before a recent os update.
    Just to clarify if I'm in a program and I choose print, I go though and select the settings I need in the box, and hit print. Then Nothing.

    Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

    There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

  • When I click on links in my emails, I want firefox to open them, but nothing happens, how do i get it to do this.

    Google chrome installed itself on my computer by mistake, and started opening up when I clicked links in my emails. So I uninstalled G.Chrome. But now when I click on the links in emails, NOTHING happens. How can I get Firefox to again open up those links when I click on them.

    I have been having the same problem. Links work in Outlook for both Chrome and IE but not Firefox. I have tried a number of things including restarting my computer, editing the registry etc. Oddly, when I edited the registry, the links did work for a while but then I proceeded to get the same error as before.

    Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
    There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

  • When opening firefox, a banner saying downloading the latest applications appears but nothing happens.

    Starting today, when I open Firefox a blue banner just under the toolbar pops up saying "Downloading the latest applications". Nothing is downloaded.
