Suddenly, the power/sleep button will not respond
I can't put the iPod touch into sleep mode, or shut it off by holding the power button.
I've reset by holding power and home buttons, as well as reset all settings on the touch itself via the menu.
Any ideas?
yes the replacement will cover dead/stuck pixels as long it is within the 14 day return period. Even if it is not it is worth going to an apple store and talkin to them about it. You may get a replacement anyway.
As far as the main question you may just have a defective Ipod. It sounds to me like a hardware problem. If you have tried resetting via the iPod itself as well as tried restoring via iTunes then theres not much else you can do to fix a problem like that. You may just need to return it to where you got it from and request a replacement/repair.

I receive messages on my iPad, but I cannot send a reply. The send button will not respond to my touch.
It's not that you can't use the subject field, but it is very unreliable when I try to use it. Sometimes the message send button will work and sometimes it won't.
But the biggest reason to turn it off is so that you do not accidentally type your message in the subject field. You can type a subject in that field, but you still have to type the actual message in the space below the subject field. -

I've had my 5th gen iPod for a loong time and I've had the occasional issue, but nothing that a reset wouldn't fix. I went to go use it today and the buttons will not respond. No lighting up when I touch the wheel, no play, won't even let me reset it. I've plugged it into the charger, hooked it to the computer and restored it. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
Any suggestions or links to other threads with fixes?ideas?

I m having problems with my iPad 2 gestures. The screen enlarges and will not respond to my attempts to restore it. Is anyone else having this problem? What is causing it and what helps to restore normalcy?
Try double-tapping the screen with 3 fingers and see if that zooms it back out - and if it does set Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom 'off'. If it doesn't zoom you back then try triple-clicking the home button and see if that turns it off, and if it does you can then change what a triple-click does via Settings > General > Accessibility > Triple-Click Home.

My 1-year ipod nano locked up and would not start overnight. The on/off button will not work and stopped holding charge. No water damage, no fall, nothing unusual. I restored it (twice) but it will still not hold charge and on/off does not work. I tried to restore it again and charged it in three different locations with different cables. etc but nothing. Suggestions?
- After charging for 1/2 hour or so, does iTunes see the iPod? If yes, restore the iPod from backup.
- If no, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

Hi deamayfield,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your Music app is unresponsive, try restarting/resetting your iPhone:

I am not able to backup my Iphone to Icloud because my wi-fi is greyed outon my phone. The wi-fi button will not slide to the ON position, therefore, Iam unable to backup my phones contents. What can I do? I need to save my pics, info....etc, because I have to get another phone.
Back up to your computer instead. To do this, connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now. Also go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer your apps and other purchased media to your iTunes library. Finally, save any photo stream photos to your camera roll (open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll), then import your camera roll photos and videos to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. (You don't need to delete them from your phone afterwards unless you need the space.)
If you're getting another phone, be sure to delete your iCloud account and turn off iMessage, FaceTime and Game Center before doing so. (See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5661).

hello WallyWalsh, if this warning is showing up you might have to reset the homepage to the version that is used in firefox 4 & above (the old homepage will show the warning you have referenced). to change it go to firefox > tools > options > general & reset the homepage to the default (that's '''about:home''').
to set up sync between your pc and the tablet, go to ''firefox > tools > sync'' & create a sync account - for detailed information about it please refer to [[How do I set up Firefox Sync?]]
