Suddenly unable to log in to BT Yahoo Mail

No idea what's happened but no response on screen when trying to sign in. Doesn't say in correct password, user name (haven't changed these) but just doesn't respond. Have cleared cache, cookies etc.
Just happened today. Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks

Not working again now. Same problem as before, sign in with right user name and password but screen just doesn't respond. Doesn't freeze just doesn't get to inbox. This is ridiculous and only started happening last week. It can't just be me surely?
Thanks
Hi.
If you just want to login to webmail, use :-
http://mail.yahoo.com
entering your full email address as the Yahoo! ID. See if that works.

Unable to access yahoo mail server on iPad suddenly last 36 hrs.  Can anyone assist?

Hold off on purchasing stuff. I got my problem solved going through Apple Support for free. I'll try to walk you through this but bear in mind I've only done it once with an Apple Tech Support manager on line.
Basically you have to clear your keychain. Go to Finder Menu, Select Go, select utilities, select Keychain Access
Once you are in keychain access you may have to enter a password to unlock the keychain
Once unlocked, select preferences and then reset my keychain.
This is where I am fuzzy on what we did but as I recall that was all that was necessary with respect to the keychain access.
    Save the changes
Go to the mail program, delete your existing account
    Add a new account
De-select the option to automatically set up your account (VERY IMPORTANT)
Enter your email account info for @me.com
On the incoming mail server page
Enter the account type as IMAP
Enter the account description as iCloud
Enter the incoming mail server to imap.mail.me.com
on the outgoing mail server page
Enter the account description as iCloud
Enter the outgoing mail server to smtp.mail.me.com
    Check use only this server
And your problems SHOULD be solved
If I were you, before messing with the Keychain stuff I'd try editing the incoming and outgoing server address in the mail program first to see if that's a shortcut.
    Good luck!

After finishing with my Yahoo Mail account I cannot log out and return to my Home page (My Yahoo) and therefore I am unable to open other mail accounts. I have to compltely restart my computer to open another Yahoo Mail account. The problem does not apear in IE. Thanks for your help.

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

  • Why is it when i try to log in to my Yahoo Mail it says "Bad request"?

The yahoo site works fine, but when i log in to check my mail it won't let me. Instead it says "Bad Request"

The web server is using cookies to set up the session. The cookies have an expiration date.

  • Log out 'button' in Yahoo mail is not active/clickable in Firefox

In Yahoo mail the logout 'button' is not active when using Firefox (currently 3.6.8) (&running on XP) so the onlyb way to Logout is to close the browser ( works fine on same Laptop with IE)

I have tried these "fixes" numerous times and they never work. :( Thanks for trying.

  • I am suddenly unable to log into wifi

I have been using my ipad mini successfully since 2014 to log into wifi wherever I go... but this week, I was in another town and after using the wifi at my host's house, the next morning it did not work, nor was I successful at logging in with several other internet cafes.  When I go home, the problem persisted and I could not get onto my home wifi.
the potential sites show up, but when I click one, the circle whirls and whirls, nothing happens, no password is asked for .... HELP!  thanks.

This is the first that I've heard of those conditions.  However, if it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • Suddenly unable to log in or reply to threads with Firefox 3.5.4

This happened just out of the blue today. If I'm idle from the site, I am logged out (even though I have Remember Me checked). OK, fine a minor annoyance. However, when I tried to log in today, instead of the login screen, I received this error message:
The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. * This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
I deleted the cookies. This availed no change. If I refuse cookies, of course I won't be able to log in, which would defeat the purpose of using your message board. Is this a problem on my end, or on yours?
I am currently logged in with Google Chrome.
    P505-S8945, Intel Centrino Core2 Duo @ 2 GHz. 6 GB RAM, 453 GB HDD, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4600 1 GB, Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1

Never tried this myself but should work. I mean using a Mac as an external disk. I regularly use this method with external disk formatted with Mac filesystem.
In your situation is the only way I see to get data out from the PowerBook.
First step download and install this great program, HFSExplorer onto your PC. You need Java to run HFSExplorer. So if it is not installed get Java.
Get a proper FireWire cable to connect your PC and your Mac.
Start the PowerBook in Target Disk Mode. If you don't know what Target Disk Mode is read the whole page I linked.
Start HFSExplorer on your Windows PC. Ignore the error if it shows up. Use the FireWire cable to connect both Mac and PC.
Wait until Windows recognize the new disk. It won't show up in My Computer because of the filesystem. Windows does not read HFS+ disks natively.
Go to File, Load Filesystem from device
Next step click on Autodetect button and OK at the following panel
There will be lots of system folder that are not important to you. Browse for the Users' folder where your data are stored.

  • Why am I suddenly unable to log onto Story Free and access my scripts and other documents?

I was working as usual with Story Free until attempting several times to log on yesterday and today, with no success. The program seems to bypas the login process and take mne to the familiar workspace, but with no ability to use any features.
I wonder if this might be related to the advertised Feb 2013 revision?
Please advise at earliest convenience, thanks--

Three short movies went missing that i was looking to watch and they never showed back up. • Suddenly lost all my contacts with BY Yahoo Mail

    Hi
Just went to send an email to family members and am advised that I have no contacts!!! I probably had about 50 originally, so not an overwhelming number.
Sorry if this has been done to death but it was fine yesterday. Is it something to do with this migration malarkey??
I was using the older BT Yahoo rather than the newer BT Mail (I think).
    Many thanks
    L

Presumably you were using webmail to store your contacts or were you using an email client such as Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird.
Use this link to check what email service you are using.
    http://diagnostics.bt.com/login/?workflow=EmailChecker
If you are still on BTYahoo can you check that your account has not been compromised. Log on using this link and it will show your log on history. If there are any logons at places and times that were obviously not you it could be that your account has been compromised.

I can't access my mail.yahoo since I set ssl. I have deleted the related cookies (yahoo.com and mail.yahoo.com) as well the browser cache. i have restarted FF but still nothing. The mail works fine in Google chrome showing me the secure (https) connection at the browser address.

'''Try the Firefox Safe Mode''' to see how it works there. The Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.''
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open the Firefox 4.0+ Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or use the Help menu item and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.

  • Logging on to BT Yahoo Mail

We have the main and 3 secondary BT yahoo email addresses.
From time to time when opening Windows Mail to access emails we get a window pop up asking for Login Details for one or more of the addresses.
Most of the time inputting the correct details does not allow access to that particular email address.
It has got to the point of being so ****** off we shut down Windows Mail carry on with something else and come back a few minutes later and emails can be downloaded no problem.
Sometimes there are no problems for weeks on end and then it can happen for at least a day every time we try to retrive our emails.
I have used a number of ISPs over the years and never had this problem.

I've had this for years. It just happens from time to time, then goes away again. I never have worked out why.

  • I have a 27" imac. If I log on to yahoo mail, the color wheel comes up and i cant check email or send. It only happens as soon as i log into my yahoo mail! Please help someone.

I am new to Using Apple. I've had my Imac for about 5 months, Recently when I log on to my Yahoo mail, if I click on any of my email, or if I try to compose an email, the color wheel turns on and it just freezes up, I am not able to view my email. This only happens with my Yahoo mail.  Someone please help? Any Suggestions?

    Hi Lizzy..
If you are using web based email (accessing from Safari), from the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab.
    Click: Show Cookies
    Delete all Yahoo cookies.
Now from the menu bar again click Safari / Empty Cache.
Restart your Mac, launch Safari. Try Yahoo.
If the problem persists, there's a better way to access your Yahoo mail without a browser.
Launch the Mail application. Either from your Dock or Applications folder.
From the Mail menu bar click Mail / Preferences then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab.
Click + under the Accounts window on the left.
Type in your name, Yahoo email address and password.
    Click: Create
No more having to use Safari or any browser to access your Yahoo mail. Just click the Mail icon in the Dock.
