Suddenly Weblogic instance shut down and when I check the logs, there is no exception or error.
There is only one word "HANGUP" which is new and after that there is no logs

This looks like a crash, check if there is any file generated with extension .pid?

See case #188305. There is not a whole lot of information there and we really don't like to reproduce this.
If it happens again we will add more info to the case. In the log file we have seen 'class not found' for
weblogic.utils.... classes before it shuts down. Boot it again under no load and it comes up fine.

What version of WLS, SP-level? what 's the avg load that you are putting on WLS? Is it in a clustered environment? what
the min/max heap size, executeThreadCount etc...
Any other details that you can provide us would be helpful for us to debug further.

  • Skype 7.9 shuts down after choosing the person to talk

Hello everybody! Few days ago I got a problem. Skype on my macbook suddenly started to shut down after I choose a person from the contact list. Even if I turn it on, someone calls me, I pick the call up and the program shuts down. When choosing a person from the list of contacts - it shows a dialog window without any dialog history and also shuts down. After it I get the alarm messege from the system that skype suddenly stopped working and so on and so on... Can anyone help me to fix it?   Thank you!

In the middle of the fault descrition I've found this: Logical CPU: 0
    Error Code: 0x02000148
Trap Number: 133 Maybe it will help!

my computer displays grey screen and apple logo for 10 minutes or more during start up and shut down. sometimes it refuses to shut down . this issues started after installing OS lion. what do i do?

I don't think it's exactly an incomplete installation brody, but most likely in-correct permissions somewhere along the line that either happened, or became magnified during the upgrade. Also, it could be corruption as well.
First thing to do, is boot up holding down Shift key to do a safe-boot so we an clean up any corrupted OS caches, after that do another reboot, but go to the Lion recovery, and scan the HD for errors, repair any if you find them, and then try to do a Repair Permissions job.
That should fix the issue, if not, we can start doing a PRAM reset  and SMC for good measure.

  • When running on battery power, my MBP shuts down after 30 mins..please help

this has been happening for the last two weeks; whenever i run my MBP on battery, it goes blank/shuts down after about 30 mins...would start back on, but shut down even before the login screen comes! i checked the battery display under the laptop-it showed 3 green lights!! TIA!! i bought my MBP off the apple website last september!

With your symptoms, most likely, yes. If you have a 17" MBP, you are out of spec (based on Apple's specification of 80% health for 300 cycles). If you have a 15" MBP, you're in spec (84% health), but your symptoms indicate a problem (i.e. a defective battery). So, contact AppleCare!
You can't calibrate now. I asked because if a battery goes too long (150-220 cycles) without calibration, the "sudden loss of power" can result.
    Hope this helps...
Graham, that's why I inquired about calibration, but with the OP's cycle count, that's not the issue. Also, FYI the "battery condition" information is part of System Profiler with Leopard; the OP lists Tiger, and did post all the information available under Tiger.

  • HT4623 My iPhone 4S keeps shutting down after I upgraded to iOS7

My iPhone 4S keeps shutting down after I upgraded to iOS7

This has happend twice to me in the past 12 hours since I just updated to iOS 7.0.2, but did not happen after I updated to iOS 7
Last night the operating system crashed to the Apple symbol (a reset) when browsing the settings menu.
Perhaps it's a bug with the movement tracking? Seems to be connected with sudden movements (I noticed it shut off when I quickly lifted the phone up to look at the screen) - perhaps the background parallax is glitching the system to a software reset? If my problem persists I may temproarily disable the parallax to see if that mitigates the resets.
To be clear, the update to iOS 7 didn't precipitate this problem, and I updated to iOS & on the day of its release (9/18).
This used to happen to me sporadically on my iphone 4s on iOS6, usually when my battery was anywhere at 40% to 5% - though I suspect that was because I was due to re-set the battery by completely draining it.
Is anyone else having this issue with their iPhone 4S?
I'm using a Verizon iPhone 4s 64 GB, still in excellent condition.

  • Powerbook g4 shut down after turning on for the first time every day

in recent 2 weeks, my g4 suddenly shut down after turning on 5min to several hours the 1st time everyday. after turning on 2nd time, a note show on the screen that "your computer clock is set to a date before March 24th, 2001, this may cause some applicaiton to behavior erratically" and recommed to reset the date and time. but the time is correct when i check the date&time. the battery is not out of power at that time. anyone has the same problem?

I'm not really familiar with System Optimizer, but I guess it is somewhat like Onyx or Cocktail, a system utility. You must be cleaning your caches too deeply. When you launch a document after this, an alert message appears. This relates to Security Update 2004-06-07 which was issued before 10.4 was released. So it existed in Panther, too. I would say if your utility gives you any control of what is cleaned in your caches, be choosy about it. See Dr. Smoke's FAQ here:
Side effects of System cache cleaning
If I might quote one passage:"However, after performing a System-level cache cleaning, you may again see these alerts for previously-approved applications as a System-level cache cleaning may remove the
    com.apple.LaunchServices*.csstore
files in your Computer > Mac OS X > Library > Caches folder. These files save, among other things, information indicating the applications you have previously approved for launch. Some cache-cleaning utilities retain these files to preserve your list of approved applications, while others remove them as they are saved in a System-related cache folder."
However, it would be best if you read the entire FAQ.

I update  icloud in my computer but i forget plug my device iphone 5s in my computer, suddenly my device shut down automatically, what's wrong, now I can turn on my iphone 5s. How I solve the problem

    Hi fransiscasanti28,
If you are unable to power on your iPhone you may want to troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
    Specifically -
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Having problems with Bridge shutting down after saving photo in PS Cs5,,,,,,,,,  Also when i attempt to update either PS or bridge get an error message in Adobe application manger "Error loading updater workflow"

Sorry for the late reply. My email firewall has become a little over zealous & sent a lot of my emails straight to my junk email folder, so I have only just now discovered your reply in my junk mail folder.
The only "don't open files exceeding xxx megabytes" instruction I can find in my Prefs, is in the Bridge Prefs for Thumbnails, & mine is set at 1000mb. The biggest files I handle are bigger than 200mb so I should be able to open a few, not just one.
However, this doesn't explain why I can open a psd format file of 180mb, close it, but then can't open a RAW format file of only 26mb immediately after.
I can open the RAW file only if I restart my computer - very annoying!
However, thanks for the advice about the video card & memory.
So, I'm still stuck as to what the issue is.

  • How to find out why my MBP will always try to shut down after 1 hour

    Dear all,
this is a question too complicated for me to answer; I have previously tried to solve this problem in a usenet forum (comp.sys.mac.system) - but we didn't get it solved there, and I finally gave up on it. However, it still persists, and it is so annoying that I want to try another approach on it this time using the Apple Discussions Forum.
The problem is as follows: my relatively new (bought in december '09) MacBook Pro 13" (2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM) has a problem: always when I leave it untouched for one hour, something within the system would try to make the computer shut down (system halt). Please note right that this seems NOT to be a hardware-related issue (al least not simply a bad mother-board or sth. similar - there are a lot of threads about MacBooks that seem to shut down immediately, like fainting - this is not the case here). Instead, the system behaves like anytime when a user-requested shut down is invoked - for example, the running applications would check if any changes should be saved, and ask questions. The only thing is: I did not request a system shut down, and even more: I do not WANT the system to shut down. In fact, this whole problem is extremely annoying, since it constantly messes up my open documents (e.g. the TextMate workspace I usually set up, or similar things), forcing me to reestablish my workspace at least once a day. Over time, this can be very annoying for a computer that's used for work!!
During the course of my earlier discussions in the forum, we tried to find out what makes the computer go down - looking through the system log files etc. - but to no avail: we couldn't trace back the event that has caused the system to invoke the shut down procedure. However, it seems that this issue is related to the Mac operating system, and not the hardware - and this is why I ask this question here (and not in the MacBook Pro section). It may be that we simply didn't look in the right place - or not with the right tools - and I hope that there may be some people here with some new ideas how to trace the reason for this procedure. Everything I can tell now with some certainty (and I couldn't do it before in the usenet forum) is that the shutdown seems to be invoked about one hour after the system has been left untouched by a user (no key strokes, no mouse movements); I know this because I use my Mac for a wake up call now - and, since I sometimes need more than an hour for that, I can tell that this problem causes iTunes to quit one hour after the Mac has booted (which makes my wake-up music to switch off... and some of the running applications with no changes to save).
It would be very important for me to solve and remove this annoying problem, and I think that this really shouldn't happen! Needless to say, I haven't set the energy savings settings such that the system would shut down after one hour (in fact, I have set the system to always stay on when attached to a power supply); still, the problem prevails.
Does anyone of You specialists have a good clue or smart suggestion where (or probably how) else to look to find out what causes the shutdown? Thanks a lot for taking the time and considering this annoying problem!
    Best,
    Björn

Yes - it is a bit frightening... Had other Macs before this MacBook (Pro), and never experienced such a problem. Don't know - of course I look into the Preference settings from time to time, and maybe I have changed that setting on the other computers... it never occurred to me...
What an annoyance such a simple decision to make the auto-shutdown after one hour a default can be! Probably, Apple reconsiders :-D I'd rather prefer an auto-lock of the account (instead of an auto-log off)... but I believe it has been expressed often enough that, in this particular case, the - pardon me - Windows-solution (to offer a simple lock of the account, the Windows-L-key combination, IIRC) is much more practical... to copy that behaviour under Mac OS X, You'd have to go through lengths...
Anyway! Pondind, thank You very much!!! Solved a kind of embarassing, but huge problem of mine!
    Best,
    Björn

  • Several Apps seem to just mysteriously shut down after using for a while. Same with Safari, I will be using Safari and it shuts down. Face book too. I've reset and shut down my iPad 3 and restart it, but it stills shuts down. What to do?

Several Apps seem to mysteriously shut down after using them for a while. Face Book shuts down , netflix, Safari, and other Apps. They work fine for a short while, or a long while, and then shut down and it brings me to my regular desktop screen. I've tried restarting by completely shutting down the IPad until I see the apple pic and turned it back on, but the shutdowns of apps continue. Anyone else have this issue? It generally started shortly after downloading and installing IOS 7......

    Hi jennyoutwest,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The following articles will provide some troubleshooting steps for your iPhone.
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If that does not resolve the issue, refer to page 146 in the iPhone User Guide to Reset All Settings:
iPhone User Guide for iOS 7
    manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
The final troubleshooting step would be to restore your device:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414
Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition. Before restoring:
Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes.
    Back up your device.
Transfer and sync content to your computer.
    Cheers,

  • MacBook Retina shuts down after a few seconds after every boot

    Hi there
My retina macbook keeps shutting down after booting and rebooting by its own a minute later. No error message is displayed or anything like it, it just magically shuts down.
It had been working fine until now but it seems to be going crazy for whatever reason...
When it shuts down by itself, I can't turn it on myself. It does it on its own even if the lid is closed and then shuts down again after about 30 seconds.
This only happens when it's connected to a power source (it doesn't even start when it's not).
I have tried to reset the PRAM without success.
The only time the issue doesn't happen is when I do a Safe Boot.
Can anybody tell me what is up with my Macbook (I really need it for work AND school).
    Thanks

PSE trial 12 installed just fine but when i start the editor it opens and shuts down after about 2 seconds without an error, the only thing that appears is a message with 'continue trial'.
I have windows 8.1 64 bit and i already installed the latest video drivers, intel hd 4000 and nvidia geforce 710M.
I also installed premiere elements version 12 with the same problem.
What can be the problem here, please help?
    Thanks.

    Hi roberto-
Yes, its a shame. I have also contacted lenovo support hoping that they can sort out this problem. However, first response from them was 'contact your internet service provider since internet connectivity goes down'! :-/ I am hoping I have been able to get through to them now at least about where the problem lies. I wonder if anyone has tried using the laptop with the same broadcom wireless adapter with some other version of OS (linux, windows 7 etc.) and whether they still face the same problem. I haven't tried that yet. If this is just an OS / driver issue I hope someone somewhere is working on a fix! If not, I guess the only other solution would be to get an external USB wifi adapter but that is not something one would want to do when you buy a brand new Lenovo laptop. This was a big let down for me.

  • Please help: programs shut down after 60 sec's

*Please help me:* Since two weeks or so (may be, after I updated my QuickTime), every program I opened *shuts down after roughly 60 seconds*. It is not closed but it gets out of the writing mode so that I need to click on the page first before being able to continue writing again (Word, email, also this thread). If I do not always look at my page I loose words and have to retype them again. Also, with backspacing it occurs: it gets out of the enter mode. I am not aware I changed anything in the user mode of my dear power book.
