Sugestion for next update of AUR

I have an idea in my mind. and my sugestion is:
For example when we send a package that already has an owner in AUR, we could not send because only the owner of the package can update the package with the same name as the one that you want to send.
However if the owner of the package does not update package, does not respond to the comments and requests to update the package would be the idea that users were able to send the package even if you are not an owner.
the page where are the package would be a link called "other versions of the package" that would link a page where are the other versions sent by non-owners of the source package, thus forming a ranking of sources of packages with the same name where the package most votes would be the official source package elected by the official owner of the package in AUR and users who liked the other version of the package.
If the yaourt there support ranking of sources, it would work like this:
"yaourt -S repacman-1"
being that "-1" would the reference to package with more votes of ranking of the package: "repacman". and that is in first place of the packages with more votes.
That would relieve the user from dealing with outdated sources where other versions come with problems solved to compilation and function.

yaourt is not an official tool for the AUR (I would recommend just not using it. Ever).
If the owner does not update package, respond to comments, or respond to emails, then request a disown on aur-general. Having multiple versions of a PKGBUILD is just bloat.
'Relieving' users from dealing with outdated sources is a lousy motivation, Arch users should know how to increment pkgver appropriately anyway.
Currently you can already post an updated PKGBUILD in the comments (many do), so adding more complexity (and bugs) to the AUR is unnecessary.

Some of the javascripts are automatically inserted into every page that is one of them it will be fixed in a future version. It doesn't harm anything though.
Using some of the more advanced functionality in HTML DB even in future version will keep the pages from validating correctly. While it is our intention to get as fully standards compliant as possible we will always lean to the side of providing more functionality/browser compatibility over compliance.

Hi, anyone knows where to send a wishlist for the next update? :-D
I recently bought an iPhone - I am very happy with my choice, and also the update to 3.0 is very good. But I have 2 things I really wish for.....
1. Be able to change sms tones without jailbreaking
2. Hear the sms tone with headset attached - when I get a call the sound goes via iPhone speaker, but when I get a sms the sound goes into my headset?!? Strange behaviour

That is normal behaviour. The things you describe are not really important to most people. Not much chance of Apple doing it. We have the great 3.0 and people are still not happy. If you want those things you described, Get a NOKIA.

Feature/Improvement requests for next update of Excite 10 (AT305)

First, let me begin by giving praise: you built a great tablet! It's fast, beautiful, and mostly bug-free.
Now for my list of feature/fixes/improvements:
1. File system support: as many before me asked - please add support for NTFS (at the very least) so we can copy files larger than 4GB into the tablet (4GB file size limit exists on FAT32 FS). Exfat/Ext4 support would also be a blessed option.
2. Please add the option of rooting the device. I know it's a feature that only advanced users should use, so you can add a lengthy contract to devoid you on responsibility for any possible damage caused, or even better, incorporate a disaster recovery program for factory reset. If that's not an option, at least release the necessary information and ADB drivers that will allow the community to achieve this. It will only draws more people to buy this product as one of Android's main attraction is it's flexibility and programming freedom.
3. Sound Loss. This happens once in a while. the sound provided by this tablet is great. Especially when the SRS audio enhancement scheme is employed. but every now and then, the sound stops working without warning or error. Please check and correct this issue. thanks.
4. UPNP/Network/NMT video/audio playback. I am unable to play any video files over the network, and I've tried countless times with many different players. Including the media player provided on the tablet. It just returns with a message of not being able to play the file. I don't know if it has to do with my player storing files in NTFS format or something else, but I tried MP4/MKV/AVI and other formats with no success. If I copy these files over, provided of course their size permits, they play perfectly from inside the tablet, just not over the network. My NMT is recognized and found by the tablet, and I am able to see the files by using "Droided Media Tank". just not play them..
5. Battery life. While on standby the tablet shows great battery life, it fizzles out pretty fast when in use. It's a powerful tablet, but should be more efficient then this. Please see if you can make any improvements on current performance.

Idea- Random Sync for next update

I have too much music for my iPhone and I just want random music to sync to it when I connect to my computer. Apple should create a random selection option so that when I sync my iPhone to my iTunes, a random selection of my music will sync to my iPhone

Any date for next update on Vision 2 software?

Got home from a couple of days away and firstly it wouldn't let me view my recordings from Sky Sports, had to pull card out and re-insert to view them and then later couldn't view any Sky Sports/ESPN channels, no picture at all. Had to pull power yet again, so my question is how much longer must we put up with these 'beta' versions of the software? I'm not really expecting an answer more just expressing my frustrations!

Ah, a pessimist. But I do agree.
The full launch is a few months away yet. Probably Dec. There are many different versions of the firmware out at the moment. And none of them are, as yet, bug free. So lets hope they get it sorted before the full launch.

A Suggestion for next update

I was thinking the other day; would it be possible to add the feature to add iTunes gift cards on the apple tv, with the use of bluetooth keyboard, would really like to see this feature added to make my apple tv more awesome

There needs to be a switch so we can change songs to instrumantel. Would be a great thing to add for next update

Next Update

Dislike the 5.0 version greatly. 4.6 version was better and been strongly advised not to downgrade back to it. So for next update, things to consider:
Keypad lock - there was nothing wrong with Lock + Green phone, why you have to use the mute button is silly in my opinion, at least give an option of one or the other and not make it mandatory.
Text messages - Having it like BBM means that if I make a mistake and inadvertently press enter instead of backspace, I waste a text message and money. The old system of centre pad and confirm was fine. Possible one is to have an option for confirm box after pressing enter in case it was by accident
Backlight - goes in with locking the phone again, used to stay lit and say it was locked, then if you pressed any button, you would light it again, which in my opinion was useful.
Just things to perhaps consider and maybe give us options with which way we want to do things, not all people hate options, options are good, don't force us to do things the Blackberry way all the time.
ps. If there are possibilities to change them already, please state how as I am unaware of these as I have been looking at changing settings for these things with no joy

Nokia 301 Feature Request in Next Update (Current ...

If anyone know about below points available in current version the kindly reply the way.
Feature request for next update.
1. When I view sms it does not allow me to view previous or next using right or left navigation. All the time I need to close current sms view and move down or up for previous or next sms and open it.
2. Instead of adding "Sim Manager" bar, it can show on top of the screen network signal symbol like regular other mobile view.
3. In Personalise view setting, add few more option to have quick access on front screen display.
4. When we open menu, we need to navigate using up-down-right-left key, instead after opening menu we can have keypad shortcut from 0 to 9 atleast.
5. For demo application, allow us access to remove once demo expired. This will freeup space.
6. Wall paper for active screen is already available to user to customize but we can not change wall paper for manu and when locked.
7. Mail application does not show bigger size mails.
8. If we rename any video file extention to say from video.3gp to video.txt but still video player detect that video. There is no way to hide any video or image or any file. Need to have some way.

I'm unable to sync my contacts with the new iPhone 5 and my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe. Will there be a fix for this in the next update?

I previously had an iPhone 4 synced and paired with my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe and had no issues. Now I have a new iPhone 5 and am able to sync the phone but the contacts will not update in the phone book listing for the vehicle. I've tried several times to re-sync and pair the phone to the vehicle and still the same issue. I'm able to make an receive calls but no contact information is being displayed. From all of the previous community issues reported it's not an AT&T issue, Hyundai issue, it's clearly pointing at the device (iPhone 5) being the issue.
Will there be a fix for this in the next update?

Thanks for your response. However, after speaking with a level 2 Apple Advisor and Hyundai there is an issue that both companies are aware of and are working towards a resolution. Here's a blurb from Hyundai that was sent to me after I spoke with Apple Advisor:
"We apologize for any inconvenience associated with the technical issues with devices connected via Bluetooth. Hyundai is aware of the iPhone losing its Bluetooth connection to the vehicle along with any function associated with it at the time. Hyundai has been able to reproduce the concern in our test vehicles and have sent all necessary information to Apple engineers. Hyundai received confirmation from Apple that they will work on debugging.
If your iPhone is 3G, 4, 4S, 5 and has one of the following iOS: 6.0, 6.1.0, 6.1.1, 6.1.2, 6.1.3, 6.1.4 or higher, you may be affected." - Hyundai Engineering

Nokia C3-01, suggestions for next S/W update

I am using Nokia C3-01 from 2 weeks. It is nice phone with touch and type combination. I would like to add some suggestions for next software update.
1. Brightness control
2. When writing a text message, tapping # change only alphabet from capital to lower case, but missing numeric. I have to press 3-4 times to write numeric in text. Also have no 'option' to insert numeric. If I change other language (not English, which is automatic), then I can get numeric by tapping #. Nokia, please care it for next firmware update.

You can do a long press on the keys to get the numeric value instead of pressing it three to four times. This works for all Nokia since years, if they have keys
Or do a long press on the # key. This gives you the option to activate numeric input. Also a quite old feature for Nokia phones.

Recommendations for the next update

Here's a few changes I was anticipating, but didn't make it in the 10.2.1 release, but hopefully will make it into the next update:
1. The Work-Personal separation is an obstacle for screen captures. I can be taking a screenshot of SMS msgs and it goes into the Work Space. I can't attach it to a text or personal email. So, the workaround is to email it from my business email to my personal email and then attach it to a text! This is something that obviously can be done with work documents and files to circumvent the separation in the device. Perhaps BlackBerry should offer administrators the option to remove the segregation of work and personal spaces.
2. The camera remains problematic, particularly in dimmer environments, and it is not as "forgiving" as other camera phones when it comes to stability/blurriness.
3. We need the "You were bcc'd" warning restored to the top of emails. We currently get the "You were cc'd" notice, but the more critical bcc is still absent -- and that's the one that's needed to avoid accidental/embarrassing "reply to alls."
4. Voice Control button is still shared with the "Period" button. Too small for those of us with above-average hands/fingers sizes! Also, rather than silence, a beep to acknowledge voice activation would be helpful.
5. Option to permit Z10 users to type in the Contact name into the Phone's dial pad field as the Q10 allows. I know it's a different interface, but a toggle button may help.
