Suggest Best headphone for iPod Touch
Hi,
Recently I bought iPod Touch 4G. It now 5 months old, but the bad thing about apple is its headphone. After using apple standard headphone, now i am feel degrading the sound quality i.e. the loudness of output has reduced when i compare to the now headphones. Could some one suggest best In Ear Head phone for iPod Touch.
I have been using Ultimate ears for years and am very happy with them.

Yeah I went with Black/Slate because if I get a Speck case or other protective case it will look way better! The colors with white fronts are all kind of ugly. Just my opinion not saying to buy black. I am not a fan of the white front anyway.

Just got my first ever ipod. I got the earbuds and am reasonably happy with them, but they do not provide the eardrum damaging bass and volume capabilities I require, even at full volume. I have tried my other pair of full sized Seinheisser headphones, which I use for my Sony Floor system and they have improved the quality of the sound immensely, but the volume has dropped right off. Any suggestions for maybe some mid sized earphones that will give me that high quality, and volume I need to for my dance tracks? Any suggestions would be very welcome. ThanksIt is a subjective issue, but thats what I got for myself

Best headphones for iPod function

I'm looking into getting a nice pair of Bose headsets...but nto sure about which one to get. I dont fly alot, so I wouldnt need noise-cancelling, right? It would be using mostly in the office..and the white apple headphones are not giving me the full enjoyment of my music.
Can Anyone suggest some nice headsets?I have had the Klipsch Image S4i earphones for a couple of months.
They come with different size earpieces to fit different size ears (duh!). But, they also suit different contexts. I use the small ones while exercising to allow some ambient (and potentially dangerous) sounds in. I use larger ones in places like airplanes when I want minimal ambient sound.
In addition, the sound is quite good. The chord is longer than Apple standard issue. The chord is also not as springy which I didn’t realize was a negative until I got the Klipsch (they wind up and store better and are less tangly). The buttons are easy to find without looking and easy to operate. The mic works very well. And, the earpiece fits into the ear nicely and is much less prone to falling out. -
What is the best way to format Videos for ipod touch?
What is the best way to format Videos for ipod touch? Used Quicktime Pro/ Export (iPhone setting). Videos aren't as crisp as downloaded Videos. Compressors /ipod video Setting also looks crapy (with bitrate med & High). What should I use?

i wanted to ask whether the camera for ipod touch comparable to a digital camera? if not are there apps available that can turn it into a digital camera? i want to buy an ipod touch and i like photography....what should i do? plz suggest
The iPod touch has a very rudimentary camera. It has only a 0.6 MP resolution, no optical zoom, no flash, etc. There is no app that can improve this as it is limited by the hardware. So it is not a replacement for a digital camera (nor even for an iPhone whose camera has a 5.0 MP resolution.

Computer has different name than Itunes for Ipod Touch
I have an Ipod Touch 4th Generation 32gb. I have had no problems with it or with Itunes. My Mom came last Saturday to visit and she needed to charge her Ipod Touch so I hooked it to my computer where I always have a cord and charged it for about 45 minutes or so. I have no problem with my Ipod or with Itunes BUT when I go look at the device now on my computer,when it is connected to USB cord, it show "Marys Ipod" now instead of "Steves Ipod". In Itunes, it is still "Steves Ipod" and I can sync and all but I really want to get rid of "Marys Ipod" off my computer even though when I open it up, it is my ipod, just mislabed. I know because it has my pictures and her's is only 8gb. My Ipad2, is fine when I hook it up to the USB cord, It says "Steves Ipad" but when I hook my USB cord to my ipod touch, it still reads "Marys Ipod". Is this something I should be concerned about or is it not worth the hassle of trying to restore, etc? I have tried to change the name, but Windows won't allow. I do have Windows 7. I have also got the new update on Itunes and the new software(5.0) version.
I am stumped. I have googled this and have searched for over 3 hours today on how to fix this. Ready to bang my head against the wall. I have did a reboot on Ipod, I have restarted the computer. I have not reinstalled anything including Itunes.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? I would sure appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.shellymoe

I just found the answer to this after hours of searching online. Make sure your iPod is hooked up to your computer & turned on.
Click on "Start" and in the search box type "regedit". This will display a program called "Registry Editor". Open it.
Click on the "Edit" tab and select "Find...". Type "Mary" in the search box and click "Find Next". It will bring up a list of everything that has "Mary" in it. (You may have to click on "Find next" under the "Edit" tab in order to find the associated items that have something to do with both "iPod" and "Mary".) What you need to pay attention to is not the NAME, but the DATA column. For me, the wrong iPod name was listed in 2 places in the data column. The actual names of those 2 items were "FriendlyName" and "Label".
Once you find the associated items that have to do with both the iPod and "Mary", right click on one of them. Select "Modify...". A box will open giving a "Value Name" box and a "Value Data" box. The "Value Data" box should say "Mary's iPod". All you have to do is change it to "Steve's iPod" and click "OK". Repeat the "Modify..." and renaming of the "Value Data" steps for every item that says something about "Mary's iPod".
Close the Registry Editor. Open "my computer" and see that it changed the name of your iPod back to "Steve's iPod".

“SUCCESS!!! I took my iPod to a friend who is a computer programmer/genius. He turned off his wireless, hooked the ethernet cable directly into his computer, and the download went through without a hitch. YAY!”
Here is my original post explaining what I had already tried:

It has the 2.1.2 ios on it, but after I paid for the upgrade to 3.1.1, I keep getting an error message (8288) saying there was a problem with the network connection. It seems that tech support is clueless with this issue.
I have installed and unistalled iTunes 10.5, 10.3, 10.4, and now I am back with 10.5. I have tried looking up the issue from several search engines but no one seems to have a universal solution and I have tried several.
I really want to have this thing updated for himw hwne he opens it, but I am starting to worry that my purchase was a bust. I know this is the oldest version, but I don't want to buy a newer, more expensive iPod and him still not be mature enough to really take care of it. As I said, this one is a starter.
Can anyone help? Please?!

is there a way to use remote for ipod touch and iphone with only bluetooth?
i'm running 3.1 os for ipod touch and i have itunes 9If you mean using the remote app for controlling itunes with your touch using only bluetooth, as others have said, that's a no. This might be an ignorant suggestion, but someone who knows more about it can maybe post after me. If you're connecting your macbook to the internet with an ethernet cable rather than a wifi router, can you set up a macbook as a wifi connection spot so that your ipod is connecting directly to the macbook via wifi? I would imagine you could use the remote app then.
I also sort of thought you were asking if there was a way to control your ipod touch using a remote via bluetooth, and that's also a no, but you can use a remote with a dock connector. -

I have not tried yet myself, but as a hardware issue - it should work for iTouch, bear in mind, both iPod and iTouch works on my iPod HiFi (via dock). Unless the software is not compatible .... e.g. iTouch is not working on my car stereo via dock.

Does anyone know if anyone makes a waterproof, fully submergible case for iPod Touches, 4th Generation? I am looking for one that can be taken into a pool or ocean, where I would be able to take underwater pictures or videos. I've tried numerous web sites, including "Otter Box", but have been unable to find one for the iPod Touch. I believe there might be one out for iPhones, but can't find one for an iPod Touch.
