Suggested contacts while composing email

Is there a way to hide or turn off the suggested contacts when you compose an email? I do not like that you can accidentally add a contact, this can create a problem.

Q10 remove suggested contacts when composing email

There's an suggested contact with a typo showing up as frequently used when composing any new email, is there a way to remove it? it's causing me to select the wrong one all the time and is bouncing the message (there's an extra "." at the end of the email address.)
I tried to look this answer up but no luck so far.
Please help this is really annoying and causing communication breakdowns between parties.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my app. This is my last major stumbling block that I have to resolve for this and other forms in the app.
Actually, I did use the Form Wizard for Auto DML to originally create the form. It was great. It created most of the Buttons, Items and Validations automatically (basically most of the page). I just needed to create some Processes and Computations. Two of which were the Processes to update the 'create_dt' and 'created_by' fields and 'update_dt' and 'updated_by' fields. The Create process updates the fields just fine.
However, my problem seems to be that the Hidden 'create_dt' and 'created_by' fields aren't picking up the values from a record that is being editted. Then when I attempt to save the record those fields are NULL, causing the DB NOT NULL constraint to throw an exception for those fields. In the back of my mind I seem to remember seeing some post stating something to the effect that the information in fields with a Source Type of Database Column is just displayed and does not affect Session State items.
Even with that, I am still wondering just why the 'created_by' Page Item shows the value that is in the DB record being updated, but the 'create_dt" does not (as can be seen in my first posting). It is the 'create_dt' Page Item (:P205_CREATE_DT) not having the DB records 'create_dt' info in it that appears to be the problem.

Using contractions while composing email in Outlook causes characters/case to change and keyboard to lock

Since upgrading, entering contractions while composing or replying to email in either HTML or plain text results in unintended autocorrection where different characters in uppercase appear and the keyboard locks. My autocorrect instances are unchanged from what they were prior to the upgrade. This error is occurring with other users as there is an open question on Microsoft Answers as well. It does not occur when using other MS Office software. It would be great to find a solution, otherwise my emails are all going to be have to be more formal in tone!

Make font larger while composing emails without sending big text?

Hi, is there a way to make the appearance of my email text (while composing) larger, without sending big text to my recipient?

Yes, but it will magnify all onscreen windows, including the Mail compose window too, which may still be acceptible to your goal of larger text without shouting at the recipient.
In System Preferences > Accessibility > Zoom, check Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom. Write the shortcuts down, and close the preferences window. Now, when in the Mail compose window, you can repeat the option+command+= sequence to enlarge the compose window, or option+command+8 to toggle the zoom effect off.
If you were to just use command and the + or - keys in Mail compose, these would increase the viewed font size for you and the recipient.

How can i attach files while composing email in safari??

How can we attach pdf or other files while composing either directly in Mail OR using safari in ipad2 ??

this doesnt work for me... u should be able to attach files with the "attach files" paper clip, but safari goes as far as opening up a window and choosing which attachment I want but then nothing happens, no attachment. I don't have this problem with Chrome, I never had this problem when I had the Snow Leopard OS, should never have changed from Snow Leopard, it was solid! Going off macs since Lion, Mountain Lion, too many glitches
So can anyone help with this problem? I'm sure I'm not the only one...

Recent contact suggestion while composing email not working

Previously when I used to type an address for email, the blackberry would
1) Show email suggestions in small boxes below the "to" field and I just had to click on them and they would be added to the email address "to" field
2) when I started typing an address, a scroll down window would suggest the full autocomplete address (even though the contact is not saved in my contact list, but it would pick from recently sent or received emails)
both options are no longer working. only autocomplete shows the email addresses saved in my contact list

Remove and re enter you email.
Also re start the phone between each step. So....
Remove email....restart
Enter email.... restart
The use email.

How to disable contacts search(Auto Complete) while composing Email from Outlook Web App(OWA) in Local Exchnage server?

In on premise Exchange server (Local Exchange) i want send the email using custom address like [FAX:name@/FN=333] from
Outlook Web App(OWA), while clicking on send button i got the error like "The message can't be sent because at least one recipient isn't valid." so i am unable to submit the email from OWA.
but i am able to send the email using custom address like [FAX:name@/FN=333] from Outlook Web App(OWA) of Office 365 exchange server.
what is difference b/w Local Exchange server OWA & Office 365 OWA?
is there any configuration changes needed for Local exchange server?

I created a custom address like Fax:Winnie@/FN=333 in my tab environment, it returned an error about “The address ‘Fax:Winnie@/FN=333’ is not a valid SMTP address”. Please update your Global Address List in Exchange server and if there is any error log,
please provide more information for further analysis.

Eliminate history of unwanted contacts when composing emails

When composing an email, and I type in the first letter or two of the recipient, a history comes up and contains unwanted, incorrect or undesired email addresses that are NOT in my address book. How do I clean them up so only the desired contacts are shown? I cannot find a way to delete these. Thank you...it drives me nuts!

All suggestions ARE in your address books. You have at least 2 default books. The personal and the collected books. You will have to find them in the books and fix or delete them.

While composing emails, either a new email or replying to a received email, multiple partial versions of the same email appear in trash folder. For a lengthy email, e.g. 2 pgs. I may have as many as 100 partial versions of that email appear in trash.

The Mac has 2 profiles. When composing an email in mail (gmail account), multiple versions of the same email appear in trash as you are composing the email. Does not appear to be any specific attributes which trigger this. When email is sent. The entire email appears in sent folder, while you still have multiple versions in trash. This same thing occurs if you create and save a draft email.
This only occurs on one of the two profiles. Both profiles are administrators. But this is the secondary profile.
We have compared all settings on the Mac for both profiles, gmail online, etc.
Anyone have any ideas?

Ick. So it can't just work sensibly? Sensible would be either autosave overwrites previously autosaved versions or all autosaved versions would be deleted when the message is finally sent. Allowing previous message versions to accumulate endlessly might be beneficial to someone, but does not seem like sensible default behavior.

Can't select contacts when composing email - 2.0

When in Mail on iPhone 2.0 1st gen, if I choose to compose a new email and type a letter in the To: field, the iPhone freezes for a couple of moments and then quits out of Mail back to the splash page.
If I go to Contacts first and select a contact to email, I can add additional contacts on the To: line without any problem.
After running the update twice, it did the same thing. I'm going to try the update again without restoring my old data and try a whole new sync.

Don't try to activate MobileMe and Exchange contacts. You can't have both. On my Mac, I sync my Entourage contacts with Address Book so I'm using MobileMe for contacts. But I can still access our Exchange server Global Address List.
One nice feature, you can't access the Global Address List from non-Exchange accounts but you can access your address book from your Exchange account.

Increase size pic icons while composing email / gmail on MacBook

I would like to increase the size viewing photo icons to attach to emails on gmail. I have a MacBook Air. I tried command “+” but that doesn’t work when using email. Any suggestions?

Viewing email list while composing email

How do you view the email list to reference info in another email when you're composing a new email?

You can see a portion of the email preview pane when you use the iPad in landscape mode, but you can't scroll through them or see anything but a small portion of the preview anyway. You can't do what you want to do on an iPad in the mail app.

In the Hub, tap the three dots overflow menu icon.
Settings > Recent Contact Management.
Delete those you don't want appearing.
