Z10 is a business phone, so it needs support from big companies and governments. BeiDou navigation System(BDS) is just setup by Chinese government, they eager to push it into the market. BUT, what they want is reliable smart phone or mobile terminal for millions of end users. If BB support it , Chinese government will be very happy to adopt BB10 and give you a huge support.
This is a huge opportunity for BB to take CN market.

After looking fast on the internet, BDS is a competitor to the American GPS and the (future) European Galileo, and a BDS device cost more than 300USD (just the BDS with no service).
so if the Chinese government want the technology to emerge, they will have to convince manufacturers to do so... starting with mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong manufacturers before reaching a Canadian company like BlackBerry...

It would be great if BB10 could support automatic email filtering/filing.
Sieve works great for IMAP based mail systems, which is what most people will use besides Activesync.
When the user needs to modify rules, BB10 devices would simply need to connect to the server and edit the sieve script.
It would probably be best to add the BB rules to the main files. That way the OS could easily provide a UI for the support functions like filing messages based on email addresses.

Mac OSX 10.5.8 is a PowerPC computer. Your info says it should support a Firefox browser & I REALLY want one since I always liked Firefox better than Safari, but I get the message saying that my system doesn't support Firefox.

HT201343 I have a Late 2011 model 13' Macbook Pro and i purchased Apple TV because it should support Airplay mirroring. It says i should have the airplay icon on my menu bar but it does not appear.

According to the help page i was viewing my Late 2011 13' MacBook Pro should support Airplay Mirroring. However the airplay icon does not appear on my menu bar like i says it should and when i go to System prefereneces>Display nothing appears there about Mirroring as well (like it says it should). The help page specifically says that Late 2011 MacBook Pros should support Mirroring etc...
Any suggestions? I'm all ears...

Airplay needs 10.8 or later, you need to update your operating system.

I then tried wiping the original software from the computer and re-downloading from scratch. Each time I tried the download failed with a message saying “Service “Apple Mobile Device” failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services” At this stage, the only way forward was to “abort” the download. This I have done now four times and the same thing happens. When I did finally manage to get an i-Tunes shortcut on my desktop, the program wouldn’t open saying: “i-Tunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install i-Tunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)” Any ideas to resolve this?

I have created a navigation system on the master pages and set the presentation to links only mode. I also have other links scattered throughout the program, like a linkable table of contents, etc. Some of them work, some of them don't. Not sure why. Anyone out there having similar issues? Or have any idea on how I can solve this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

Links should not create any problems in Keynote. If they are set up correctly on text, the text will be underlined. Objects that have links will have a curved arrow bottom right, if you click the arrow a popup will display the link information.
Try this repair for Keynote, ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:

delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application

empty the trash: Finder > Empty Trash

Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.

Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive

when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click repair disc permissions

when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

Creating Support Messages from Satellite System without SolMan user account

We are having some problems with users "creating support message" from our ECC system to SolMan, if the user does not have a user account in Solution Manager.
It is not correct, that users from Satellite systems can create support messages from these systems, without the user having an account in Solution Manager? And that the user is identified by the business partner for the user, that must exist in the Solution Manager system ?
We have set up the RFC for the supportmessages between SolMan and the ECC system as trusted RFC, with the "Current user" as the user, but how should this be set up, if the user does not have an account in the Solution Manager system. If we enter a user with the right authorizations in the RFC, will the messages that come through not just appear as created by that user, instead of the ECC user and corresponding business partner ?

Hi,
you can use the use the user for the RFC-Connection in that case. I have customizied a similar scenario. In my scenario the System from which the message was created, is the business partner (SOLD-TO-PARTY). For that you have to create a communication user (i.e SOLMAN<SYSID>). In TA SM59 in the satellite-system you assign this user for the connection. (Don't forget to assign the user to the role "SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN"). Now, it schould be possible to create messages from the satellite system to the solution manager. Additionally you should create business-partner for each user of the satellite system, by using TA DSWP>EDIT>CREATE BUSINESS PARTNER.
With this TA, it is easy to create BP for each satellite system.

Everytime I try to update to iOS5 on my iPhone 4 I get an error containing 0xE while it is backing up data from the iPhone before installing the new operating system. I have done everything suggested in Apple support with no success. I still get the error everytime (about 5 minutes into backing up iPhone data). How can I upgrade to iOS5 without losing all the data on my iPhone (the error message says that if I continue I will lose all data on the phone)? If I have already synced the phone before upgrading the OS, would I be able to restore my data after installing the new OS by syncing after the OS upgrade is complete? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

My wife and I recently dropped a bundle on a couple droid smart phone pakages without being told up front that the Droid X and I presume other smart phones are not compatible with a 64 bit system when installing the Verizon Media Manager. I do believe that Verizon should be telling all their people to forewarn people about the problem prior to the purchase. Perhaps at least telling them an update is in the makes. When i called Tech support on this, the first person I talked with didn't even know what I was telling her, she put me on permanent hold. I returned the call and talked with a knowledgable person in the know, all he could do was appologize over and over. Verizon should let the consumers know whats going on!!!!!:

Media Manager only handles media; videos, pictures and music. If you want to swap files such as a word processor file, it will not help. As was said, if you tether your phone to your computer with the USB cord, the computer will see the phone as another drive and you can drag and drop all you want, whatever you want.

JDBC Driver for MySQL database which should support JDBC2.0 function

I'm using JDK1.3 and mm.mysql-2.0.4-bin.jar in Windows NT. When I run following program, I got the error: java.sql.SQLException: ResultSet not updatable. (the function rs.last() is working).
Based on the documentation, mm.mysql-2.0.4-bin.jar driver should support JDBC2.0 function, but in fact, it's not. So, what's wrong or where is the correct driver?

Thought I might add something interesting I found.
You need to include the field in your primary key. I only have one field in the key so I dont know how it works if you have more than one key.
Makes sense considering Mark stated that you need the primary index defined. Looks like you need the fields as well from the select statement.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad/iPod into Recovery Mode

Exporting MP3's for use in car Navigation Systems

I am trying to load, SD memory cards (2g) for my Audi's navigation system, I have followed some disucssions on here—about using iTunesMyWalkman, to convert files. I have loaded a SD card, and played it in my car, well my question, is there anyway to see all the artists that are in this playlist? I lets me play through selections—or skip through, to get to next artist or albums. Is there a way to see all the artists that are in playlist, then be able to scroll down and play that artist?

Car audio players are not standardized, especially where you are asking how to use this specific feature which is probably unique to your player. You should look in the owner's manual and see how they say to do it. If there's something you don't understand you can post the information here and we can help interpret.
One thing for sure, you don't need any third party software to convert to mp3 for your car.
