Suggestion for fixing settings problem in iOS
put a password lock on the settings button. this is the only way to make the system work properly for people with intellectual learning disabilities who randomly change language and accessibilities setting outside the restricted area. Just put a password lock on the settings button itself to prevent random drilling down.

I could be wrong, but you can have a try see if it helps
Plug the iPod with your Mac, open the disk utility, highlight the iPod icon, go to tab "erase" and click "erase" with the security option of zero out data, which will take 1-2 hours to complete. Once it has bee done, re do the Restore.
If the problem remains - very likely a battery issue or a short circuit when you press the iPod's button. -

Didn't they already have you do that? If you haven't, yes, you should restore your phone as new and test.

I have a problem with my iphone 4. My 3G always stays activated but I lose my network signal. The bars all get lost and I'm not able to receive / send sms, mms or phone calls. Could you guys please help me fix this problem? Ios 5.1.1
I haven't gotten a new sim card because the problem has been presenting itself in various cards not only mine. So far, all I've done is reset my network settings.
Last night, I turned off the 3G tab and it had all the signal bars. Today, I did the network reset and it's working apparently. But like I said before, previously the bars just disappear and the iphone only has the 3G activated. -

i updated the phone through itunes but got the message above. I am trying to recover my contact information, which is most important to me (all business contacts are on this phone). Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
If you just want to get the contacts back, and they are on the computer, you can just sync them from iTunes again. -
I updated the software on my 2009 MBP to Mountain Lion. Since then, my iPhoto has been unable to open my photo library. I have updated iPhoto, and still no luck. Any ideas for fixing this problem?

My computer is functioning really slowly since downloading Mavericks. My programs lag opening if at all. Any suggestions for fixing this?

Problem started after IOS 8 up date.
Problem: Bluetooth connection with car indicated: connected.
Incoming call: no sound (caller's voice) from car speaker.
Out going call: no ring sound through speaker.
At random shows calling but can not hangup & no ring sound.
Car: Infiniti G 37 2009.I uploaded ios 8.0.2 on my iPhone 6 128 GB today 9-29-14 due to problems with Bluetooth talking to my ReSound Linx hearing aids to hopefully fix the problem. It sounds like the Bluetooth looses connection to the hearing aids and turns them off for about 1 1/2 minutes, then they come back on and I can hear again. I understand there are problems with Bluetooth and cars using the phone. I believe this Bluetooth problem is causing my hearing aid problem as my hearing aids connect to the iPhone via Bluetooth and the ReSound Smart App. I tried the reset fix, Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings as some have suggested but that did not resolve this issue either. I can't believe Apple is not talking about this ios 8.0.2 Bluetooth problem. This affects my everyday life in that I cannot hear when the Bluetooth drops.Try working with your hearing dropping every few minutes! If Apple wants in the Health field, I suggest they take their QA a little bit more serious than they are at present. Whomever was responsible for testing ios 8, 8.0.1 & 8.0.2 should be fired! This is causing more trouble than anyone can imagine. I understand the car - Bluetooth problem but think about the fact that if every time the Bluetooth drops, you can't hear.My job could be in jeopardy. I posted the problem to Apple Support and they will not even have the decency to respond with even a "we are sorry." How long do I have to go without being able to hear before Apple responds??????

This will bring up the "Downloads" window.
It should list all of your downloads. You can open each download by double-clicking on it.
If you still can't open the downloads by double-clicking, try the following:
In Firefox, click on '''Tools''' and then '''Options'''
Click the '''General''' tab to find out where your Downloads are going to. It should be listed in the '''Downloads''' section. You might need to click on the '''Browse''' button to find out exactly where they are going.
Once you know where the downloads are going to, you can go directly to that location and open them from there.

I phoned Apple support as I am unable to view my Purchases on the App Store on any iOS device. I have a iPhone 4, iPad 2 and iPad 3.
None of these devices will display my Purchased items in the App Store. I can only view them on my PC with iTunes.
Apple said they could not help me on the phone and asked me to email support via Apple Express. I did this and was given a case number.
I received the following email today from Apple and so I am now stuck with a permanent problem that can not be fixed.
This has nothing to do with my devices. It has something to do with my Apple ID, and they can not fix it.
I wonder if I am the only person to have a broken Apple ID that can not be fixed.
