Suggestion for next/last firmware release of WRVS4400N v2

Since this router already set up for IPv6 and Dual-Stack traffic, would it be possible to give it the ability to get its IPv6 prefix from the WAN side of the router.
Example:
I have Comcast, and as long as my modem and router support IPv6, with the router also supporting DHCPv6-PD to get the /64 prefix from comcast.
I now have an RV180W so this is not an issue for me, but my father is inheriting the WRVS4400N from me and he is also on Comcast.

On this case I recommend you to install the latest firmware available for this device (2.0.1.3)

A suggestion for next 5800XM firmware update

I hear all the time people wants widgets on their homescreen. i'm not sure if this the waht i really miss there.
instead i will be much more happy if i could have the contact bar above (and more than 4 contacts, at least 6-7 which we could roll left/right), and under this bar should be the application bar (and again, more than 4, which we could roll).
under both should be the google search (which is great), and the tasks/notes, which is my most important feature on the phone.
and how it all should work?
i want to see a full desktop when i start my phone, and when i choose my contact the other tasks/apps dissappear from the screen (or being transparent).
i don't understand why i have to choose between contacts and apps, and most of the time they both don't take advantage 5800's hugh screen (by leaving large spaces unused).
but if we could see a Facebook widget or a normal weather widget on the next firmware update, it could be nice (but less necessary) ...

that is a nice idea you have there, but one must think about how practical all these changes and additions will be. if one must have, lets say 6 contact icons next to each other in one row, the icons would have to be small in order for them to fit in nicely. i do notice that the way you have imagined the new home screen is much like the old S60 3rd edition, but do note that the 3rd edition was not touch screen. there are many people who wish different things for certain handsets, mine would be that the 5800XM should have a more windows vista feel to it, with option lists and screen appearing and dissapearing into the screen as though it was another layer on top of the previous page.
you must also remember that the S60 5th edition on the 5800XM is the a new version of the software, being added on the first Nokia touchscreen smart phone, so there are still many things Nokia has to learn from the 5800XM "test" phone.
hopefully our ideas will be seen in the new future.

Nokia C3-01, suggestions for next S/W update

I am using Nokia C3-01 from 2 weeks. It is nice phone with touch and type combination. I would like to add some suggestions for next software update.
1. Brightness control
2. When writing a text message, tapping # change only alphabet from capital to lower case, but missing numeric. I have to press 3-4 times to write numeric in text. Also have no 'option' to insert numeric. If I change other language (not English, which is automatic), then I can get numeric by tapping #. Nokia, please care it for next firmware update.

You can do a long press on the keys to get the numeric value instead of pressing it three to four times. This works for all Nokia since years, if they have keys
Or do a long press on the # key. This gives you the option to activate numeric input. Also a quite old feature for Nokia phones.

What improvements are being made in the next SA500 firmware release?

I have noticed that there is a release candidate firmware release available for the SA500 series. What improvements are being made in the next SA500 firmware release?

The improvements are around VPN and NAT.
The best way to get more details is to look at the release notes which come with the RC1 trial.

Sensible suggestions for ipod touch firmware

Not sure where to post but please note my suggestions for development of ipod touch firmware/native apps as follows:
1: on-the-go playlists. Please add the VERTCAL ALPHABETIC MENU when scrolling for tracks to add to the on-the-go playlist.
2: Mail, Notes & Contact apps should be available in LANDSCAPE mode as touch keyboard is by definition larger and more manageable.

Suggestion for next firmware update - Nokia 5800

If anyone from nokia is reading this in the next firmware update for the Nokia 5800 XM can we have the facility of have the name of the title track of a song scroll from left to right whilst the song is playing, as at the moment it scrolls once and then stops so if its a song with a long title all you can see is just half the title after its scrolled once, and also maybe a way as the song is playing of seeing the details of the song playing (like the tags for artist, Kbps, song title, album name) by clicking the onscreen softkey/options button. And also this can be extended to the contacts list where the name will scroll from left to right to show the full contact name when you press on it, at the moment it doesn't do that.

Unfortunately the care centres are the only people that can help you.
Any other methods that you may read about on other forums will void your warranty and cannot be discussed here.

Suggestion for next release of TM

I hope Apple takes up this suggestion or someone tells me I have been doing something wrong.
I have a 250GB external hard drive which I use for storing movies I make. I want to allocate half my 250GB to TM. I don't want to reformat my external drive with its current moves and set up 2 partitions.
It would be nice if in System Preferences one had the capability to allocate a % of the external drive to TM.
Hopefully fixed in next update.

I don't think you really understood my post.
To do such a thing would be to put your data in danger.
As TM changes how the file system (the thing which keeps track of your files and so on) works it would be unsafe to promote such a behavior you wish for. And by giving the option to set a limit on how much space TM may use on a partition Apple would in some way promote this dangerous setup.
But on the other hand such a thing could be useful if you were to have several computers with TM to use the same partition.
My point is that Apple will probably not implement your request as it would be more dangerous than helping, in most of the cases were it would be used.

Suggestion for Next Release - Dynamic Column Widths

Is it possible for the next release of xcelsius to allow the developer to dynamically set column widths?
Appearance > Layout > Custom Column Widths - let the developer bind the values dynamically to a range.

The XScorecard (part of the XComponents @ www.antivia.com which are free to download and free to use) does exactly this. In fact it does a little more because the column widths bind in both directions, which is useful to sync two tables together. If they are bound to the same column width cells then even if the end-user drags the columns in one table the second on changes as well. If there are things that the XScorecard does not do which you need it to then leave a comment and I will see how difficult it would be to add.

Suggestion for next PC-Suite version

In the last version, I've experienced that when I cut / paste SMS to any folder, the saved SMS names are now formed by a part of the message + vmg extension.
In previous versions, they were formed by a number + vmg ext.
My suggestion is: could the name be formed using the date they were sent / recieved?
You could capture it from the sms and put it as the name in a time format (for example, MM.DD.YYYY.hh.mm.ss.vmg).
It would help me a lot when browsing my backed up messages.

Hi, just a thought for the mods if they are able to feedback by any channels about any next gen box...
Lots of people have suggested freeview hd
Capabilities, which would be great... I think that it would be great if the box could have wifi capabilities instead of using comtrend power adapters, I would also imagine this would be much cheaper to supply when inbuilt.

I have recently bought a Creative ZEN X-Fi Style 8GB, and I use last.fm for 2 years now. I figured out people are asking about a piece of software to support the last.fm services on creative mp3 player products for at least 4 years.
Right now, people who think the last.fm services are a must have for their portable music player will definitely buy an Apple iPod, and that's just bad.. So I ask you, Creative, to investigate about last.fm and give all of us the option to scrobble our tracks!

I have seen no replies from Creative on other last.fm topics at this forum, so I don't know if Creative is aware of Last.fm at all, it's just that this last.fm thing is huge, and still growing. It's simply a must have in music.

Sadly tools like zenses and qtscrobbler won't work with my x-fi style. What went wrong, that a zen mozaic (old version) can be detected, but newer ones won't?

Suggestion for next web browser update

im a happy owner of nokia n97. I love the browser compared to others i have used, think about this suggestion think about the video player for the n97 where videos can be watch even though icons are still present(they are not in way or hiding anything. ) if this method is applied to browser especially when zooming atleast you could see what your doing. i like the see through effect it makes things easier. also it would be nice to have most of the option in photos available in music player. thanks keep up good work nokia

Suggestion for next imovie

Any specs on the next imovie?? One thing I would like to see in future versions is an area to have more video clips in the timeframe. Just like you have the ability to have 2 audio tracks, they should increase the video to 2-3 video so you can cut and edit video alot easier. I like how simple imovie is but have switched over to FCE HD and have found it a bit difficult to edit multiple video clips. I usually record using 2-3 cameras at one time and enjoy the simplicity of imovie.

(no, not me, I'm not THAT old...) editing multi-camera/multi-angle footage is way beyond that, you can do that "live" in a broadcast truck or as a Hollywood editor...
as said: unlikely to see that feature… there's a free edit-tool, offering that feature, probably more usable for your needs: HyperEngineAV ....

Thanks to reading and applying suggestions in this forum, I've been able to raise my Fico scores to 755ex, 741tu, and 750, eq. I have a secured Credit with PNC bank with a zero balance and $2,500.00 limit. I also have an old 7 % high rate mortgage with Wells Fargo I would like to refinance. I'v had two (2) hard credit inquiries in the past two years with the most recent one in 12/2014. My concern is my FICO scores taking a major hit if I 1) apply and convert the secured PNC Bank Card to a regular PNC Credit Card or I apply to refinance my high rate mortgage. Given my current FICO scores, what would be the recommended best next step that will harm my FICO scores the least?

Let a small balance report on it and then go refinance that mortgage. Finances >>>>>>>> FICO and there's absolutely no reason to be carrying a 7% mortgage in this market. FICO really doesn't matter in this case, get the house refinanced. After that's sorted I'd recommend going and opening at least 2 more cards, and then converting the PNC card later if you wish; short term negative, long term better to have a thicker file.

Suggestion for next iPhone OS

If the browsing of internet or any content, e.g the contact list can be assisted by the tilting of the phone using the motion detection sensor.
Instead of moving the contact list by touching the screen, moving the contact list by tilting the phone up and down. Instead of touching the Safari up and down or right to left, tilting the phone up and down, right to left to move the screen. This will come in handy for us riding in the subway, standing in a moving bus.
