Suggestion menus not showing on second monitor. Firefox 29.0.1

After upgrading to version 29.0.1 i can't see the drop down suggestion menus on my second monitor.
The menus show as just a small black line.
This seems to happen on my secondary monitor on all fields in websites, logins, and the search bar.
The menus still function, I can move through values with the arrow keys.
I'm Windows 8.1, Intel HD Graphics 3000.
The primary monitor works ok.

This could be a bug.
Could you test with Firefox's use of hardware acceleration disabled? There are two way to do that:
(1) Temporarily run Firefox in its Safe Mode 
(2) Turn off the setting in Firefox's regular mode.
For #1:
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
''Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run''
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Your non-private windows and tabs should be restored (unless you have Firefox set not to save any history).
Any difference?
(To return to normal mode, exit Firefox and start it again normally.)
For #2:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
This takes effect after you exit and start Firefox the next time.

Dock Not Showing on Second Monitor

Dock is only showing on one of two monitors in setup - when I click to second monitor, it doesn't show up as it has in the past. On Friday after install, it was. Setting somewhere? Any insight is appreciated.

I make changes on Contribute that do not show up on my firefox browser. They Do show up on my Safari browser

I make changes on my website using Contribute . Since I have downloaded the latest Firefox update, my Contribute changes do not show up on my Firefox browser. They Do show up on my Safari browser, so I know that Contribute is working fine.
Also, I can no longer locate the Refresh icon.

You may need to reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
* Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)

SUB SUB Menus Not Showing In IE

For the first time I put a sub, submenu (if that is what you call it) in my Spry Menu and it does not show in IE. Firefox it works fine, but IE it does not show up. The main item on the menu bar is there, then when you scroll over this main item, its submenu shows, but then when you scroll over this submenu, it's sub submenu does not show in IE.
Anyone know how to resolve this problem and make it show up? Many thanks.

Well, I figured out where the problem is. It has to do with the filter: alpha(opacity=92) in the following section of code:

If I remove the opacity, then the level 2 submenu shows up, but then the opacity is gone. I would like to keep the opacity. Trying to figure out what I can do now to keep the opacity and have level 2 submenus show in IE as well. Any ideas?

missing Quick/Guided/Effects menus in Editor

It's Windows...when I click on any of the tabs, Guided, Effects, etc, it's blank (black background). It usually has the thumbnails, for example, under Effects, 'neon' 'sketch' all that is gone. A pop up shows up & states the Help content is missing & I might have to re-install.

Firefox 6 (& 7.0.1) download window is not showing on multiple monitors set up

I have a dual monitor setup - Macbook Pro screen as secondary and an external monitor as primary screen.
I have been running Firefox 3.6.x without any problem.
Only just updated to Firefox 6 and the problem appear - download window does not show up.

Just downloaded and want to see whether FF 7.0.1 would be any diferent, but nop. The problem still exist even the hardware accelaration is switched off as some users had suggested. Frustrating really...

Menus appear glitchy on second monitor.

I just started using a two monitor setup at my new job. Firefox 4 appears to work perfectly on the first monitor, but on the second monitor, right-click menus, the Firefox menu, bookmark toolbar folders, and anything else similar to that shows up flickering and appears glitchy.
Anyone have an suggestions on a resolution? I don't seem to have the problem with any other browser, but there may be a resolution other than fixing some bug in Firefox.

New 13" Macbook Pro trying to connect to a Panasonic VIERA TC-L42U30 as second monitor. I've used multiple hdmi-thunderbolt/mini displayport adapters and multiple hdmi cables and still no success. The Macbook does not sense the second monitor (TV). Help?!

I've been a Mac since 2008, so I know my way around the system pretty well. This issue, however, has me stumped. I had an iMac until now and only now am I experiencing some difficulty with my new MacBook Pro. The model I have is the newest 13" Macbook Pro model and I'm trying to connect a Panasonic VIERA TC-L42U30 42" HDTV as a second monitor via the Thunderbolt port.
It worked the first two times and hasn't worked since, after 10-15 attempts with different configurations, turning things on n off, restarting the mac, unplugging the cables, adapters, TV, resetting the P RAM, etc... I've used multiple hdmi-thunderbolt/mini displayport adapters and multiple hdmi cables and still no success. No matter what I do, the Macbook does not sense the TV as a second monitor anymore.
I took the MacBook Pro to the Apple Store, and their "genius" there had it working fine with a DVI connection to a regular monitor. The Panasonic TV I have has HDMI connections and one VGA connection which does not support HD, but no DVI option. I want an HD connection to mirror or extend my MacBook Pro screen. At the Apple Store, they didn't have a Thunderbolt/Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, so he could not try that out for me.
Anyone else have this configuration or another similar one with a Panasonic HDTV?
Ideas? Suggestions? Anything?! Help!!
P.S. I'm running Mountain Lion, if that wasn't already obvious. Everything is up to date in my App Store as well.

I have had the exact same issue but with a projector.
The issue lies with Mountian Lion 10.8.2.
I tried many a combination with no luck to get HDMI working.
Took my mac into the apple store and came to the conclusion it was the software, so I asked them to install 10.8 onto it (this is destructive so a backup is a must)
Bought my macbook home and voila, now displaying through my projector.
There is a small graphics update after 10.8.1 which seems to be the cause.

Keynote 6.0 won't show on second monitor

I have update to Mavericks and Keynote 6.0. I'm on a 15 inch Early 2011 MacBook Pro, and connected to a LG Display via VGA through the Apple VGA adapter. When I try to play a slideshow, it only shows on the Mac Book Pro with the Presenter display behind it. I tried clicking the switch monitors thing, but that does nothing except get rid of the Presenter display behind the show. I hit the 'x' key to get the presenter display back. I looked in preferences and other places, but I do not see a seting to show the show oon the other monitor. The Apple help files are no help at all. The weird thing that happens, is that I can drag the keynote app to the second monitor and hit "play" and it will work with the presenter display on the second monitor and the show on the MacBBook Pro. Hitting 'x' gives the desired result, but when connecting to our projection system, or monitor, we do not want the app on the second monitor. For what it's wooth, Power Point does work (Office 2011) as desired. My question is; How do I fix Keynote to work properly?

I was teaching my first class post-Mavericks upgrade and was having a fit finding out, in front of my class of 33 graduate students, that my projection set-up wasn't working. I had read something about getting rid of the menu bar on a secondary display in Mavericks and decided to try it. Since then, I've also read that assigning Keynote to all desktops, with the "Displays have separate spaces" box checked, might also do the trick, but I won't have a chance to test this until Monday afternoon. Glad you got it working!

Adobe Flash up to date; firefox 9.0.1 installed. Flash does not show as plug in & Firefox states Flash not up to date. What to do

Under plugins, I get the following message:
For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Flash. Please upgrade to the latest version.
However, I updated to the version Firefox suggested. Flash does not show as a plugin. Plus, after updating, I continue to receive the message:

What is wrong?

The plugin check page only recognizes some common plugins that play media on web pages and not plugins added by security software like McAfee. So no need to worry about that. Just make sure that you keep all your software up to date, especially software that deals with internet access and security software (anti-virus software, firewall).

Slide show on second monitor?

Hello,
I would like to play a slide show on a second monitor (in this case, a TV I have set up viewable by the customer). I've played with the settings in the view menu for the secondary monitor, but the best I can seem to do is get Aperture to play every other slide on the primary monitor, and every other other slide on the TV.
Any ideas? can it be done? Seems like an obvious feature needs to show photos to clients.

Well, you can't get the browser on the second monitor, but you can mirror the viewer on the second monitor. That at least let's you show one pictures at a time to the client.
I'm hopeful that Apple will add some slide show capabilities to Aperture, at least to the level of iPhoto. If not, I will have to export the pictures and use one of the myriad tools to create a decent slide show.
I suppose I can mirror the monitor as the OS level for the slide show, but that seems to really mess up my finder on the main window when I un-mirror.

Flash buttons not showing/hiding layers in Firefox

Before anyone says to use the search tool, I did that, even googled the problem and no suggestions have yet to work. here is the page http://www.preziosidevelopment.com/dchs/dchs.html it works flawlessly in internet explorer, but fails to work at all in firefox. All the buttons being nested inside table cells is another byproduct of having to design for firefox, if there is a better way of setting those up so they display properly in firefox feel free to let me know. I'm a designer not a coder, so please keep that in mind. Just to clarify, the only problem I am currently having is the first two buttons are not showing/hiding my layers in firefox as they do in internet explorer. Thanks for any help.

Here's a sincere suggestion. Do not use Flash buttons for anything. Really. People who don't have Flash will not see the buttons or be able to trigger anything. Search engines will not see any links that may be embedded in those buttons nor will assistive screen devices. As a result of these as well as other maintenance problems that would affect *you* when you try to maintain them, Adobe has removed them entirely from CS4 (and I say good riddance). Is it possible for you to rethink this entire approach using CSS styled text or ordinary graphic buttons?

My roboform (ver 7.5.7) toolbar does not show since i updated firefox to 7.0.1 in the troubleshooting info. it shows as enabled. it does not appear in the menu of view/toolbars

as above, when i updated firefox to 7.0.1 the toolbar for roboform disappeared. updating roboform did not fix it. it does not show up as a tool bar in the view/toolbar tab. i made sure the firefox browser option was enabled in roboform.

Communication channel not showing in CC monitoring

I have created a CC - JDBC receiver and assigned to my BS. It is activated and available in the BS. I have cleared ID - Cache. The CC is displaying in SXI_CACHE also but it is not displaying in RWB->CC monitoring. What could be the reason. The adapter and entire scenario is activated. Kindly expecting your replies soon.

Hi,
For this, in Integration Directory Menu goto Environment -> Cache Notifications -> Notification Tab and check for Failed Cache Instance. Keep the filter conditions as "-Any-", to ensure no failed cache instance is missed due to filters set.
Select the Failed Cache Instance and perform "Repeat Cache update for Instance" (Icon/Button near refresh button within the same Notifications tab).
This should resolve the CC not showing in Monitoring.

Sub-menus not showing??

I have this main menu...
eg.
File | Edit | Transactions | Help
these have their own submenus. i have put in all the submenu
items also.
eg. <File> has Name, Age, Address
however they dont show up when i run the form. only the main
menu shows.
but clicking on the individual menu items doesnt drop and menu
or show the sub-menu.
i dont know why?
