[Suggestion] Much Needed Online Tech Team

This is a suggestion I've made to many many websites and most, if-not all, have implemented the feature out of common sense.
Online Tech Team. A team of people whom sit waiting in a queue-based chat system** ready and able to solve problems for the online person.
These people would need access to certain departments of BT's own system, involving Engineer call-outs, account information, bookings, etc etc etc.
If a person can't get on the internet... they crack open their HUB Manual and locate the all important Phone Numbers to ring. If a person such as myself right now, can't use a phone because the line is faulty - and has seriously reduced internet speeds and desperately needs to talk to someone with some common sense - a person such as myself right now, might browse the help sections of such a website like BT and locate a "Live Help" button, bold and large, inviting me to click the button and insert my BT landline number, my Account Number, the account holders name (And mine if acting on behalf of account holder) and maybe even other little details like a selection field comprising of subjects to the nature of the help request. FE:
Internet Problem
Landline Problem
Account Enquiries
Billing Enquiries
Etc, etc etc
A person such as myself would then have the ability to connect directly to an online operative whom is then able to quickly and efficiently solve ones problem. In my case... said operative would heed my call and become aware that my internet connect is terrible and my phone line is dead. Rather than someone who denies all knowledge of a line fault and blames it on the Exchange, said person can then do a live line test - appropriate. The operative will then be able to say - "Hey, your line is faulty. Let's book an Engineer!" I would then type in my nice shiny little text box, giggling and jerking around in my chair like an excited kid being offered sweets and toys, YEAH NICE. Engineer then turns up at door, does tests and solves problems, I then report back to operative at the email he left me at the end of the conversation with a - NICE ONE, SOLVED! Said operative closes my case and a once again happy customer is no longer disappointed at his ISP, but pleased at the epic levels of awesome displayed by one tiny little addition to said ISP's website.
This ability to communicate live, via the internet - would drastically improve productivity on BT's part and would generate MANY happy customers - whom feel satisfied that their problem has been solved.
Simple solutions often missed by complicated companies. C'moooooon BT, you know you want to.

You will find the Live Chat options in the Contact Us section of BT.com.  If you go to http://www.bt.com/help you will see a box on the bottom right which says ‘contact us’, click there and this opens up the contact options.
Here is an example of where you will find the Live Chat option:
Billing  >  Query about my phone bill/payments  >  I want confirmation of a recent payment

    So I got an email back earlier from complaints as i said in previous post, as soon as i got back home from work I called it. Spoke to the first person who put me through to Options, again I told them my problems and they looked through my notes and told me that they couldn't help and transfered me to another department. I then went through all my issues yet again and again was told I needed to be transfered to another department to downgrade. I got put through to Options (where i'd previously been transfered from) this time I got told that they could downgrade me but need to speak to a different person in Options, so again transfered to someone else. This time they said that they will do it, started giving me the details of the new package and was just about to give me a date when they said that because of a technical issue with the way my account was set up they could not continue. Was then told that the order will be handed to the offline team and will be contacted (no time scale given). So annoyed right now!!!!!

    When a file url is clicked instead of asking for Save or Open or Cancel options, the file gets opened on IPad by default.
    Is this default behaviour which cannot be changed or can it be configured to ask user preference?
    When we try to download a file(.pvw file -> a model file) in the above application, safari throws "Download failed" error.
    Please suggest what needs to be done.

    Safari on an iPad in general does not allow downloading of files. That's a safety precaution in the iOS SDK to keep unauthorized content off of iOS devices. Safari will open from the web site file types that it can handle, but direct downloading isn't normal behavior, and I don't believe the behavior can be changed, though you can try asking in the developer forum, either here or the one to which you have access as a member of Apple's iOS developer program.

    Hi Jeffrey,
    did you post a Mylyn bug? This is the best way to get your issue addressed.
    At the moment is holiday time and some of the Mylyn guys may be on vacation.
    They definitely look at the bug list, but may not browse the newsgroup everyday.

    Yep, that's the only message that popped out. Nothing else. Yes, it's running on the latest ios and I still can't restore it. I called apple and they told me it's probably something wrong with their servers. Anyway thanks for the advice.

    Or you can email iTunes Support at iTunes Store Support.
    If all else fails:
    Go to: Apple Express Lane;
    Under Product Categories choose iTunes;
    Then choose iTunes Store;
    Then choose Account Management;
    Press Continue;
    Now choose iTunes Store Security and answer the bullet questions, then click Continue;
    Sign in with your Apple ID and press Continue;
    Under Contact Options fill out the information and advise iTunes that you would like your security/challenge questions reset;
    Click Send.
    You should get a response within 24 hours by email.
    Presently there appears to be problems on Apple's end, so it may be quite some time before they respond.

    It is kind of round about way to get in
    Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
    1) on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
    2) Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select "done", in the upper right corner
    3) sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the security questions.
    4) At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security questions.
    It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

    I called yesterday to troubleshoot my internet, it turns out that the ont needed to be reset.  I decided while I was on the phone, to inquire about upgrading my service.  I told them I wanted 50/20 so they started to provision my line only to find out I would need a tech to roll out to perform the upgrade.  At that point, I decided to just upgrade to 35/35 because I didnt want to deal with the hassle of having a a tech roll out to my house.  Why is it that I would need a tech to upgrade to 50./20?? Kinda **bleep** about that.. because that high upload for a residential service with no static ip is retarded.
    Also this morning I wake up to see my internet light is amber but my power/wan coax/lan coax lights are green?? Whats the deal??

        Let me tell you something, my friend contacted fios tech support via chat because he had problems with 
    internet connection and speed, the fios live tech contacted some kind of  network group and they fix the problem,
    Just make sure you checked everything on your side,in your case you already checked your router, but do not
    forget cables and splitter (if you have),
    if you unplug and reconnect your cables and the splitter is ok, will be time to contact fios tech support.

    With Mac OS X 10.3 or higher, a number of USB Wi-Fi adapters would be possible to use. However, for an earlier operating system, a wireless Ethernet bridge (such as the examples below) can be a better (and sometimes the only) option. A wireless Ethernet bridge does not normally require special drivers, and can thus be used with almost any Ethernet-equipped computer.
