Suggestion: podcast/movie download scheduler (for those on capped internet)

Dear Apple,
I'm hoping an apple dev will see this. Could you please try to build in a download scheduler to iTunes? I blew out my relatively large bandwidth quota last month because an old TV show podcast started up again (a new series) and I didn't know about it.
If we had the option to choose which hours of the day we wanted to download, it'd be brilliant; for example, I need my iTunes to start downloading at midnight and finish downloading at midday. It would also be nice if we had the option to allow smaller things such as songs (under 15mb) to be downloaded regardless of which time of the day it is.

Hi this is a general question because I've looked at a UK site LoveFilm, which provides movie downloads (paid for, legal) but only for Windoze. does anyone know where I can buy legal downloads of movies to run on OSX please? TIA.

Windows Media Player 9 for Mac however, had 0 problems. I can watch those films no problem.

If you haven't been keeping a backup of your downloads (none of your iTunes downloads are included in an iCloud backup, apps, music etc are only redownloadable whilst they remain in your country's store) then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a redownload : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

How to have Itunes auto Sync after the podcast auto download? (for iphone 3gs- but I think it can be iphones in general)

I want to have itunes download the podcast first and then sync to my iphone automatically. It is in the reversed order, so I have to manual sync again after the auto downloads. How can I do this? Thank you

URL accessed by the Download Scheduler

Hi all,
When i run the BEx Download scheduler for a package, a certain URL is accessed where the Web Templates are Stored. This is downloaded onto the PC.
The Problem here is the default URL string that is accessed by the Download scheduler is failing. Is there any solution such that we can get the Download scheduler to access the Web template through the IP address of that server. Kindly let know if there are any such settings or any other way to acheive it

The reporting agent template consistency check is successful with consistent results. And, I corrected the errors in the documents in RSRV. The files are downloading in to my desktop, but when i try to download them to the windows server i get the 1 KB files. When i open them this is what shows up....

Access denied by the access control list.
Does the server need to have the FTP and IIS installed in it to download? Because when i tried to download the same into my desktop and another PC over the LAN(both has FTP & IIS installed), its working fine.
I presume that this is more of a security issue outside SAP than an internal one.

How do I find the URL of a movie I wish for your downloading schedule?

I have added on the download schedule to your "tools" drop down menu. It asksfor the URL of the movie clip film or whatever. How do I find ths URL. A friend said hover over the movie while it is playing and drag and drop. but this doe not seem to work.

Only 'On My Mac' calendars can be published to an ordinary web page: MobileMe calendars can be shared but the viewers will need a CalDav client to view them - iCal is of course one such, or Google Calendar for people with Windows. More details here:

There is an unofficial and probably very dodgy method to publish a MobileMe calendar to a web page, but it depends on a bug in iCal so there's no guarantee it won't stop working at any time (and I don't know whether it works in Lion). Use at your own risk: the method is described here -

Download hangs on certain podcasts, movies or songs

I have several podcasts and movies that will start downloading. Then the downloading stops. The banner at the top continues to flash that it is downloading but bar stops moving. After several seconds of no activity the download stops. I can start another download again and it will take off and hang on the same spot in the file. Any suggestions? I have three iPods and it happens with all three.

This is when you're downloading the podcasts/movies to your iPods, correct?
If this is the case, have you tried assigning each iPod a different drive letter? This may not be it, but the possibility is worth a try.
Log off of any other users on your computer (and disconnect any iPods that are currently connected to your computer, as well)
Then, put your iPod into Disk Mode, then follow these steps:
1 - Don’t plug in your iPod yet.
2 - Go to "START -> Control Panel -> Admin Tools (if you don't see this, click on "classic view" button on the left panel) -> Computer Management."
3 - Click on the "Disk Management" button in the left panel area.
4 - Now, with "Computer Management" and Control Panel windows opened, connect your iPod to the computer.
5 - Right-click on your iPod's listing there (after a few moments when it gets recognized in this drive window), and click on "Change Drive letter and Paths". Then the "Change..." button.
Here's what it should look like:
Assign your iPod the letter "M" "N", "O" or the like (further along in the alphabet).

Doing this with with all three iPods is the best, as opposed to only one of two of them. Be sure not cto connect the iPods simultaneously when doing this, and to also not assign the same letter to two different iPods.
If that doesn't work, have you tried turning off your firewall/internet security/spyware software, then try a sync with each iPod again?

How do I watch a movie downloaded to my MacBook on my ATV?     The movie works fine on the computer but I just get a checkerboard pattern on the TV screen with audio but no video. Apple support is useless and suggested that I reload the software...

Just downloaded a HD movie to my computer (brand new MacBook Pro, all software up to date) and can't watch it on my Apple TV (brand new last year, all software upto date). Using Airplay mirroring works fine in general but when I press play on the movie I lose the picture and get only a checkerboard pattern and sound. Another MacBook we have gives a black screen with no sound. Apple assistance is completely useless. They suggested that I download the most recent software (all upto date), reload the movie (done and no help) or read the FAQs (no help, although this board suggests that there is a fundamental compatibility issue with mirroring of HD content...!)   That's what the ATV is for!   The new MacBook uses a different connector and I can't plug it directly into the monitor input on my TV with the connector I had from the old computer.   I ordered a new connector for fifty bucks and they stupidly sent it UPS with a signature required for delivery since it is such a high value item so now I have a hassle to receive it. In any case plugging in a wire from across the room isn't a solution. Is there any way to make all of this supposedly integrated hardware and software work or has Apple completely lost their way and turned into a Microsoft clone?   Hopefully some of their market mavens will read this and steer the ship back on course. In the meantime any help you may provide would be much appreciated.

The movie is from iTunes.   You would think that a download from iTunes to a MacBook could be watched on an HDTV using Apple TV without any headaches bit this does not appear to be the case.

I can't load Movie Magic scheduling on my Macbook Air. It loads fine on my Macbook Pro. Any suggestions?

I've tried downloading directly from the Movie Magic website. I've tried loading it from an external disc drive but it keeps failing to install. It takes me all the way through the installation process but then won't open at the end. AS I mentioned, it works perfectly on my Macbook Pro but it would be a lot easier if it also worked on my MBA.
Any suggestions most welcome.

No, it's Movie Magic Scheduler. I also have MM Budgeting and it doesn't load either. Both the MBP and MBA are fully up to date and using Lion 10.7.3. The software provider suggested it might be a permissions issue but I checked and repaired all my permissions but that hasn't helped either. Now I'm wondering if it's something to do with the MBA having a flash-based drive. Very frustrating.
I should say I'm downloading the software direct from their website and it's a special Lion-approved version.

HT1577 Why am I experiencing long download times for an HD movie rental from itunes?

I have been experiencing long download times for movie rentals from itunes (this time 11 hours). I have even tried to use ethernet, turn off simultaneous downloads, and shut down my browser, to speed up the time but that didn't help. My internet download speed is about 7mbps. Any suggestions?

I downloaded FF ver 34.0.5 now I have to move my mouse for pages on to open and Playing video on YouTube is always chopp.

Since DL the latest ver 34.0.5 FF, I now have to move my mouse for anything to happen. Also , when I play a video or live TV site the sound is good but the video is choppy and I must constantly keep the mouse moving for it to play. This has never happened before this download. So far most of the fix suggested has no fixed the problem.

Podcast episodes only available for download when subscribed to podcast

I have a newly created podcast that I created for a client and you can locate the podcast in itunes, however none of the podcast show up. Once you subscribe to the podcast you can download episodes. What could be wrong?

There are three episodes in the feed. All three show when subscribing, and on the Store web page. However in the Store within iTunes only two show - oddly enough the middle one is missing - but the Store claims to be showing three items.
We've seen this before: it's a bug in the Store, and I'm afraid there isn't anything you can do about it - your feed is fine. It will probably sort itself out eventually.

HT201272 I have purchased a movie and elected to download later; when I go to the iTunes store, it shows where it is purchased yet when I go to the movie it ask for it to be purchased, will I be charged twice for the movie I have not downloaded yet?

I purchased the movie "Black Nativity" at midnight and selected to download later; it shows that the movie has been charged in my account for billing, however; I when I go to download the movie, it ask for it to be purchased versus download. I would like to know if I will be charged again for the movie upon selecting purchase movie? I would like some direction as for how to download the movie that I already purchased.

Clicking on its purchase price again may result in you being charged again. Does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option download it
Or does it show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for downloading
