Suggestion: Send Message Failure Notification

Is there somewhere for iPhone OS update suggestions? I would like to suggest that a send message failure (SMS) notification for the next one update. This problem is pretty common for me (once or twice a day at least) and I'll end up looking at the recipient's concersation and discovering why they didn't reply 2 hours after sending the message.

  • Send message failure when Messages beta is installed

    Did you know that in some cases, iMessage on your phone will have send message failures on both sides of the conversation when Messages beta is installed on your Mac? Messages doesn't even need to be running. As long as you have it installed and your computer is running, you'll get the send message failures. Happens to myself and two friends. Just tested this myself.

    Hi,
    Can you detail how this is repeatable ?

  • "Send Message Failure" iPhone 3g... Why?? Help!

    I have the iPhone 3g 8gig on Rogers Speakout plan. I can make calls and browse the internet with my unlimited browsing and texting feature.. But I can NOT send Text Messages at all. I can recieve them but they come in very late. I go to send a text message and the sending bar gets to about 90-95% and then stops, then the Red Exclamation mark comes up.
    Things I have tried.
    - Restarting
    - Calling my provider and they reset the signal
    - Turning airplane mode off and then on
    - Turning 3g network off and then on
    - Checked for upgrades
    - Upgraded iTunes
    - I have tried a variety of suggestions from websites with people having the exact same problem but no straight answer.
    None of these worked.
    Please please somebody help me and give me an idea of how to fix this problem! It would be very much appreciated

    It is a long time since you posted this but I have just found the solution to exactly this problem (iPhone 3GS only recently inherited from my daughter).
    My text messages had all worked until I started putting something in the "subject" field then they failed to send at about 95%.  I have stopped putting in a "subject" and all is now well.
    I am in UK with TalkTalk that uses Vodafone network.
    Can anybody please confirm this has helped or am I the only one still using a 3GS.
    My problem is now trying to sync iTunes on my iMac OS10.6.8 with my iPhone, I understand the only solution is to buy a new iPhone as mine will not take anything higher than iOS6.1.3.  Is there any other way of copying my music over?

  • How to handle failure when sending messages to remote queues from OAS10.1.3

    Hi,
    Here is my problem. IN my project, I have a MDB which is looking for message in a queue and once a message arrived, it supposed to send the message to remote queues.
    Assume that there are 3 remote queues, and my mdb is trying to send the message to all the 3 remote queues,
    1) My problem is, If one of the remote queue is not reachable or down, then the MDB should be able to resend it several times until it reaches the failed remote queue.
    2) At the same time, I dont want to resend the messages(duplicate) to the queues which are successful ones.
    Please suggest me some solution for this in JMS.
    My MDB deployed at 10.1.3 and assume that remote queue can be in either another 10.1.3 or WAS 6.0(Optional).
    Thanks and regards,
    SS.

    Hi,
    1) My problem is, If one of the remote queue is not reachable or down, then the MDB should be able to resend it several times until it reaches the failed remote queue.
    Not very sure what is your question, depending on if you want to resend the message if one of three queues is down.
    If the message has to arrive to a certain destination while mdb received it, you may try to reconnnect and resend the message in a couple of times. Perhaps you need a couter or timeout to limit the number of time to retry or the period to retry.
    Is that what you are asking.
    2) At the same time, I dont want to resend the messages(duplicate) to the queues which are successful ones.
    While sending message to a queue, those implementation is within the exception try/catch block, so any resend failure (JMSException) will fall into the catch block I guess. And we can probably use that exception to determine if the message is able to send to remote queue, if not, keep resending util it is over the limit of retries. For example:
    onMessage(Message){
    resend(message, counter);
    public void resend(message, counter) {
    try{
    if (counter <= retryLimit){
    .... // do the reconnect or/and resend operation
    }catch(exception e){
    resend(message, counter++);
    If the above is not what you are asking, please clarify a bit.

  • Sending mail to a bunch of recipients, got a message failure, but can't reach the connection doctor. It's too far down

    I was using Mail to send a message to about 200 recipients.
    Got a message
    "Cannot send message. Did not recognize the following
       recipients:
       xxxxxxx
       xxxxxxx"
    200 addresses down
    Cannot reach the Connection doctor button.
    It's too far down.
    How can I erase it?
    I still use Mail, but the message failure is still there.

    Try this settings on your Router, This will solve your problem.
    Open the set up page of the router by launching an Internet Explorer Browser and type the address bar, 192.168.1.1 and press enter. When it prompts for the username and password, leave the username field
    empty and provide password as admin and click on ok.
    On the main setup page the ""Internet Connection Type"" should be
    on ""Obtain IP Automatically - DHCP “. Click on the Save Settings
    button.
    Now click on the sub tab ""MAC address clone"".
    - Click on enable
    Click Clone & click save settings
    Check WAN Ip on Status page of router ....
    If getting Valid Ip .... try going online
    If not ... power cycle for 4-5 minutes & then again check the WAN Ip address .....

  • Can't send messages anymore/Only notifications show up (can't reply)

      Hi, I'm on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (GT-N5100) with stock Android 4.4.2 & WiFi/3G (home network, running Skype 5.8.0.13549. And I'm having a trouble that suddenly showed up on my device that I can't send/receive messages for my contacts/groups at all. It just keeps grayed up like trying to push the message, but it simply won't send. Besides, when I try to tap (focus) the text field to type a new message, it won't select and the keyboard won't show up. The contacts' names won't show on the groups either. The contacts status is unstable and it usually shows them offline, the pictures usually don't show.So in the end the notifications shows that I received a new message but when accessing it, I can't do any operation. It just started happening. I tried to reboot and reinstall it several times, clear the data, force stop, update, clear the chats history on PC... Nothing worked. So I believe it's an internal problem that is jamming/lagging somehow.I just open the app, try to send messages and it just won't go. I can barely see the contacts names on groups or w/e. It happens all the time I get in it. Anyway, you got it. This is the most insane problem I've ever seen. It's a critical bug, so I hope you fix it VERY soon. Here are some screenshots:     Thanks.

    Guys, I guess I found a temporary solution! Do the following: Open Skype on WindowsGo to Tools > Options > Chats & SMS > Chat configs > Clear historyNow head over to Skype app and do a fresh install preferably.Probably it should work now. It may take sometime until it sync the info with the desktop chats you have just deleted. If it worked for you let me know! Cheers,

    hi gurus,
    i want to send html email notification from bpel.
    before, i already successful send html email with attachment, but when i send an email without attachment, then the body message will turn into a plain text.
    as i check from the email accepted, email with attachment will have a mime type "text/html" but if no attachment then it will be "text/plain"
    from the bpel configuration, by default the mime type already set to "text/html; charset=UTF-8", below is the sample configuration in my bpel process

    i think this suppose to be a easy configuration, but i'm not sure whether i miss something in configuration the email process or this is a bugs in bpel.

    make sure you put the mime type multipart/alternative into the email payload content. by default, when you add attachment, it will generate mime type multipart mixed automatically.
    if you don't change it to multipart/alternative, your email will show a attachment, but actually your email doesn't contain any attachment.
    and then for the message and mimetype make sure you have that ns10:bodypart, because this email already been set as a multipart email.
    when you add attachment, by default it will generate 2 body part, first one is for the body message and the second one is for the attachment. since i only want to use the body message only, then i have to erase the second bodypart
    with this workaround, i can send a html email without attachment perfectly.
    but i have to take note, when i updating the email process from process design, then the source will be generated again automatically, and the edited one will be replaced.
    thanks.

    Make sure you upload all of the images used in your email to a server you control. Then, change your image paths to point to those uploaded images with absolute links.
    You will get marked as spam if you attempt to send images as attachments to a large list of recipients and most email clients won't download images to begin with, so make sure your html email makes sense with broken pictures.
    CSS support is spotty across email clients, if you use css, make sure it's inline, not embedded in the <head> or externally linked in the <head>. Some email clients strip out the <head> section entirely.
    Basically, you need to design your html email as if you haven't moved out of the 90's yet, as far as web design is concerned, in order to get maximum cross client compatibility.
    Then, when you're ready, I would suggest using a service like www.icontact.com or www.constantcontact.com if your subscriber list is anywhere over 100 or so recipients.

  • Message failure problem

    When I send a message to a friend in Texas, it says message failure but when I called him he said that he had a stable wifi and the same thing happened to him. How do I get messages to him?

    Hi frosztbyte,
    I understand your parents have an OfficeJet Pro 8600 that is saying it has a printer failure, that you have thus far not been able to clear, despite your best effort and a rain dance (at least I know who to blame for the rain now ). I would be happy to help you as best I can!
    The first thing I'd suggest you do is plug the printer directly to a wall outlet if it isn't already plugged to one, just to ensure the printer is getting all the power it needs to function properly. If that doesn't seem to change anything though, please have a look through this A 'Printer Failure' Message That Might Include an '0x610000f6' or '0x61xxxxxx' Error Code Displays o... document (it was steps for the same error without an error code as well) and hopefully it can help resolve the issue.
    If the issue persists after trying the wall outlet and that document I would advise you try call HP again. I believe the number you called previously may have not have been HP, but another company. If you're in North America just call 1-800-474-6836, and if you're anywhere else have a look at this Contact HP Worldwide page to see what number to call for your area.
    Hope this helps, have a great day!!

    Hi,
    I have read your links.... thank you, and believe what I have done is correct.
    But may be if I get more detailed information about this error that I get from a log file or somewhere then I can investigate the error further.
    I should mentioned that the sql query in the link you sent does not return any rows and I do not know where to see the subscription Configuration?
    Is there a way to see more information about the error message I get?
    Thank you
    Yep..The first place where you can check is the subscriptions page in report server

  • Queue producer send() method failure

              Scenario.
              3 Weblogic 8.1 servers clustered.
              3 JMS Servers in the cluster (one per server) with JDBCStores for persistent messages.
              JMS Distributed Queue with a member on each JMS server.
              Question.
              Should the send method (i.e. QueueSender.send(Message)) fail for the dist. queue
              producer if the JDBC Store is offline (database down)? The following paragraph
              from the 8.1 JMS docs suggests so - A persistent message is guaranteed to be delivered
              once-and-only-once. The message cannot be lost due to a JMS provider failure,
              but it must not be delivered twice. It is not considered sent until it has been
              safely written to a file or database. WebLogic JMS writes persistent messages
              to a persistent backing store (disk-base file or JDBC-accessible database) assigned
              to each JMS server during configuration.
              But our observation is that the send method does not fail, in fact the messages
              produced to the queue.
              What is the correct behavior?
              Thanks.

              Hi,
              Yes, db is started when server boots and all consumers are available before db
              shutdown. We are noticing the same bahavior for listener vs. full database shutdown.
              Thanks,

  • Rmi client cannot send message

    Hi
    I'm running the rmiregistry server at port 8000.
    My application uses an API which reads a file for its configuration. I've set the RMI PORT to 8000 in the config file.
    Its possible to telnet "IP:8000" from the remote machine but when the remote application tries to send a message (using the api) it gets an error "cannot send message". The remote application also uses a config file to determine the IP and PORT it'll connect to. IP is set to the address where server program is running and port is set to 8000.
    The server api generates a log (showing each message processed) : Log generated indicates that API starts successfully but there are no entries for any messages received. Seems the messages are not arriving at all.
    Is any more configuration required?
    Regards,

    Here goes:
    The application communicates with an MMSC. Has two threads one for sending and another for receiving messages.
    The sending Thread is working just fine. Both Threads use an API for communicating with the MMSC.
    I start the RMIregistry Server with the following:
    java -cp path/ApiName.jar sun.rmi.registry.RegistryImpl 8000
    One needs to implement an Listener interface to receive messages.
    Here's my class for the same
    public class ReceiveMMS extends Thread implements MsgListener {
    public void run(){
              while(true){
                   try{
                        Thread.sleep(1000);

    public ReceiveMMS() {
              try {
              System.out.println("Registering application to receive messages...");
              APIClassInstance.registerToReceiveMessages(this);
              System.out.println("Application Now Listening for messages.");
              catch (ApiNotYetStartedException anyse) {
                   System.out.println("Exception caught while Registering Application: " + anyse);
    public Result processThisMessage(MessageArrivedEvent mae) {

    try {
    System.out.println("New Multimedia Message Arrived. Fetching it...");
    // call fetchMessage() to fetch message from queue
    MimeBodyPart _receivedMessage = APIClassInstance.fetchMessage();
         //MESSAGE PROCESSING LOGIC
    catch (ApiNotYetStartedException anyse) {
    System.out.println("");
    _result.setResultCode(ResultCodes.FAILURE);
    _result.setResultText(": "+anyse);
    catch (NoMessagePresentException nmpe) {
    System.out.println(" : "+nmpe);
    _result.setResultCode(ResultCodes.FAILURE);
    _result.setResultText("No Message Present : "+nmpe);
    catch (CannotFetchMessageException cfme) {
    System.out.println("Cannot Fetch Message - Check RECEIVE property :"+cfme);

    what i can figure is, some configuration is missing, and the remote app is not able to notify the MessageHandler.
    The API starts successfully and is able to connect to remote system (sure, as it can send messages). The api uses RMi internally--when dont start the registry server i get the 'Class not found for the STUB Class'
