Suggestion To choose SAP courses

I am kundan here i have done my BIT currently I am working as a Sr Software Engineer in LAMP technology .I want to change my technology and want to learn SAP Please suggest me what i have to do like which module i have to choose so that i can grow with SAP . I want to something like SAP technical consultant but i am confused what i have learn like ABAP4,Netweaver etc and Also suggest in these two thing which module i have to choose please suggest me .....

Dear Kundan,
What is suggest is get hold of the siemens material from your friend and try to do it yourself. I will not suggest you to go to any of these institutes (other than siemens) cos they are not only expensive but trust me not worth even for a single penny. as you are yourself into technical field. it is better to get some insight yourself into ABAP and then give it a try in the open market. trust me there are plenty of opportunities for people like you in the market.

The best approach in taking SAP-related courses is to contact the university and confirm their approach. View SAP UA member schools here - http://uaaroundtheworld.informatik.tu-muenchen.de/overview(bD1lbiZjPTEwMQ==)/start.htm
...and assess the ones in the UK which does include Brunel.
Ask if they provide SAP-related curricula (or supplements) and hands on SAP software in this course or others that you can take in your program.

SAP Course Reccomendation

Hi
I'm looking to send our inhouse SAP Support Co-ordinator on a SAP course and would like to know if anyone could reccomend the most suitable course.
Ultimately we do not have enough knowledge on Materials Management and MRP.
We have HR, Warehousing, BW specialists (etc etc) but this is one area of the business that we have sort of thrown in.
Can anyone reccomend which course/s would be the most appropriate for MM, MRP?
If it makes a difference we are a Manufacturing Compnay in FMCG industry.

3. SAP Certification material - TADM 10 and 12.
4. For java side knowledge, you can go for TADM 200.
5. Sap R/3 for Everyone: Step-by-step Instructions, Practical Advice by Jim Mazzullo, Peter Wheatley

Please help regarding SAP course

I am an MBA( HR) and a fresher. I would like to be SAP techno functional professional. For that with which course i should begin with ABAP HR or SAP HR functional modules.
I am confused. Please help me to know the answers to the following queries-:
 1.What are the future prospects of SAP HR? 
 2.Are any other sap courses with a better demand than SAP hr modules
(like netweaver , knowledge management or business intelligence warehousing)?

 3.Can i go for training with local institutes as seimens does not fits in my budget? what difference will it make?

Hi Karan,
Techno Functional means it includes both Technical and Functional Knowledge.
For knowing Technical things, you need to go for ABAP HR training and for knowing Functional areas you need to go for SAP HR. I think for your profile SAP HR which means Functional side would be good. But for Technical, one need to have the basic programming knowledge of any tool/technology.Then only it will be easy, otherwise it will be difficult. But nothing is impossible.
Answers to your questions;
1.SAP HR is good in the market now and it will be good in future too.Also, competition is less when comapared with other modules.Very less people are taking this module.
2.Apart from SAP HR, the very hot hot module I can say is SAP FI/CO.It is king in SAP. Next comes Netweaver and SRM.
3.You cannot compare Siemens and local institutes. If you go for Siemens you will write the exam, pass and get the certification. Using this certification you can find a job easily.Normally, companies recognize only if you have some good years of experience or as a certified fresher.Because you do not have exp, this ceritfication helps you finding a job.But whereas if you go to local institutes you cannot get the certification and it makes very difficult for you to get a job.You have to put some fake experience and try. But this is not easy and not recommended.That too there is no gap as you are a fresher, so you cannot claim any exp. Without exp and without certification, no body will recognize you.
Think in all terms and then make a good decision. Good Luck for your future efforts.

I'm afraid I completely disagree. I've worked in abap for 10 years and have never been so much in demand. No matter how complete a product is, companies will always want to tailor it to their business.
Learn Abap first, then learn sap. I wish you a successful career.

Deactivate table locks for SAP courses

Hello,
when visiting SAP courses in Walldorf, I observed that it was possible that all participants where able to maintain the same customizing table without getting informed that the table is locked.
How can this behaviour be achived? Usually only one user is able to maintain a table at a time, however, especially for SAP courses it would be great to deactivate this.
Any ideas?

if this is still interesting for someone:
I found this page http://****************/Tutorials/ABAP/Lock/Page1.htm where they explain how to create a special report that will call the customizing view for a specific table in a different mode.
The report will delete the general table lock and create row-based locks (based on key fields) instead, allowing at least several users to work with the same table - as long as they edit entries that have different key fields.
I haven't tried it yet, but it looks promising...
