Suggestion: You should try USA Today app for Z10

If any developer wants to see how an app is done for Z10, they should look at USA Today app, and learn a few things.
Among the terrible applications we see on App World today, this is an excellent demonstration of how apps can be done, and how effective they can be in presenting your company, brand, bussiness to Blackberry users. I always loved USA Today and this takes it up a notch. It's so simple, yet functional.

You do not need any anti-virus software on your phone, unless of course it has been Jailbroken, in which case no body here can help.

USA Today app ad freezeup

I have now twice gotten a situation where an ad appears on my screen and I cannot close it or get it to go away under any circumstance. After a day or tow of not being able to access USA Today, it clears up only to return. I apologize if there is an easy answer but I cannot find any references. Thanks in advance!

I don't have the USA Today so I don't know how their ads work and therefore how they should be closed. Have you tried closing the app completely ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the USA Today 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the USA Today app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Can't get USA Today app into Newstand. Is it possible?

iPad will not allow me to drage USA Today app on top of Newstand.

I have no problem dragging USA Today onto Newsstand in order to create another folder, with Newsstand and USA Today inside that new folder, but they are atill separate apps within a new folder.
The fact that the app will not live inside the Newsstand folder is due to the design of the app, would be my assumption. Apps have to work with Newsstand. Perhaps you are preaching to the wrong choir. Contact USA Today app support and ask them about it.

Iphone is blank after closing USA Today App

Iphone went dead after I closed the Iphone while in the NEW USA Today App. How do I bring it back?

USA Today app goofy while browsing photos

anyone else having trouble with it? I removed the app, reset Touch and reinstalled. Same problem. I go to Week in Science, click on image of sun, rotate for landscape viewing, click on image and i get a black screen. If rotate back to portrait mode, the top of the USA screen is about 1 inch from the bottom of the screen! n the same thing happens if i go to day in celebrities, choose image, rotate, and click.

iPhoto stores EXIF information with each photo in your library. This information includes the photo's image size, the date and time it was taken, and the type of camera it was taken on, as well as important exposure information, such as the shutter speed, aperture, and film ISO.
To show image and camera information:
Select the photo and choose Photos > Get Info.

USA Today App

The USA Today Paper app is for free. Starting having problems with old app and then I updated with the new app and now nothing happens at all, cannot get it. Any clues?

No clue, as mine works as well as it ever did. In your place I'd first try deleting the app and then downloading it again.

In Case you hadn't heard --- KINDLE APP FOR ANDROID NOW IN MARKET

That's right. If you haven't already heard seen or downloaded it, the official Kindle App for Android is now available. I have it now and I synced it already and woah. cool. Just glad to have it. With this I can activate on my wife's account and we can share her books and she has my Kobo account on her blackberry. So we now only have to buy books once. I am sooooo Happy. Now for Barnes and Noble and all my bases are covered.
So far I am loving Aldiko for free books they seem to have a broader selection of public domain material than anyone else at least in a useable format.
I love Kobo because it is a fairly well rounded market and soon to expand from what I understand with the agreements with Borders in place. I tend to like open source and platforms that don't lock me in to using one company's device to use all my media. I prefered to use my phones as MP3 Players instead of getting an iPod and I prefer ePub to kindle format because it is available on more devices, even if it apparently means that for some of the less popular technical material I like to read sometimes I have to wait a little longer or specially request it. Just about anything else is available.
Kindle App, because my wife has a Kindle and has bought several books that I want to read but feel **bleep** buying again since she already bought it. I don't like removing DRM's so until Kindle switches to ePub or one of the ePub readers supports Kindle as well what is it azw format. I forget. Then this app is a necessity. Anyway, just thought I would announce it since I don't see a thread for it yet.

No problem. I figured this would get more fanfare than this. I have been waiting for the barnes and noble app as well. I can't understand what is taking so long since the Nook runs Android and it is essentially an app that is on it that allows you to read why not just release it on the market. It would make a lot of people happy. I love Kobo myself but B&N has some stuff you can't get on Kobo.
Lots of good reading apps now on Android B&N is the only biggy still waiting I think.

Should we still make app for ios 4

Hi,
I am starting to work on an app for iphone, but not sure about which minimum ios version to deploy to? I can do to ios 4.0, but then I will loose out on features such as storyboard and weak ARC. Also with ios 6 out, is it worth going for ios 4. I google'd for an hour but didn't see how many people are on iphone 5.
The app is not complicated, but would like to use some ios 5 features..
Any response is greatly appreciated.

I'm also having a similar question, I'm going to develop my first iphone/ipad app. I'm planning to use storyboards. If I do that won't the application run in versions below iOS 5?
Should the newly built applications support these older versions(below iOS 5), are there lot of people still using these versions?

I only see the few listed on the "Apps for iPad" page...

The main App Store page only shows a subset of apps, "New and Noteworthy" and "Staff Picks", as the headers indicate. If you want to see all, or most, of the iPad apps available, click here (this will open iTunes and take you to the App Store).

The best way to find out is to do a search in BlackBerry World from your phone. When you search from your phone, only apps that are compatible with your phone will appear.
Many apps are accessible only on certain models and in certain countries and these apps will appear when you search online so that's why it's best to do it from your phone. If it doesn't show up on your phone search, it doesn't exist.
P.S. I did a search on my PC and I found three results for Boingo so there is something out there but please search from your phone.

HT201303 I have changed my country from India to Oman. Now when I try to download some application, the message "you should shift to Omani store for purchase". In itune it shows, you can only purchase from Omani Store". How to correct this contradiction.

I have changed my country from India to Oman. Now when i try to update or download anyu application, the message," Your account is not valid for use in Indian Store. You must switch to the Omani Store before purchaseing" comes.
In Itune account details, the country is shown as Oman and payment details are also OK thru Oman based bank's Visa card.
Now the problem is that I cannot update any of my applications or download any new applications.
