Suggestions Needed about Charging device

Greeting from SE-Asia,
I need any suggestions for charging my device,
1. Is that any possibility of leaked or drowned battery life if I always overcharge my device, i.e. i plugged the device at 9pm and unplugged it at 7am, although when I charge the battery indicator shown 10-15% ?. Was the device will dicharge automatically when it reach 100% ?
2. If I split the charging time, i.e. I charged the device in the night from 15% until 75 % then turn the device off, then i continued charge it in the morning form 75% to 100%, is that okay ?. Or I had to charge my device only when the battery indicator shown under 15% ?
3. How long the normally charging time from 15% to 100 % when the device currently turned off ?
Thanks,

The phone will charge faster if its off, as the radios will be off and there won't be any apps or anything running in the background, but I only do that if I go camping or I'm trying to charge it through a solar panel or power bank/external power supply.

First, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2727
If they are and you're sure you or someone you know didn't make the purchase, perhaps as an in-app purchase,  immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account and it will be up to your bank to handle.
    Regards.

  • Suggestions needed please!

I just bought an ipad 3 and when I connected to my computer it said "Not Charging". Also, not able to sync with itunes.  Suggestions needed please!

Most usb ports do not provide enough power to charge your ipad, plug into a wall outlet to charge. If you leave it plugged into the computer and the computer goes to sleep, it can actually drain the battery.

  • How can I re-charge my ipod when I think it needs re-charging?

    Hi all.
Now this may sound like a stupid question, but here goes. I use my ipod every day to go for power-walks.
I'm not sure when the power is depleted and I don't know how to check for that (is there a way). but I've used it every day this week and I'm about to go for another power walk. So I figured it might need a bit of re-charging so I plugged it into my computer and it just kept saying "updating your ipod, do not disconnect". Then it said "safe to disconnect". Now I did NOT want to update my ipod, I wanted to make sure that when I went out, that my ipod would not go off on me.
So there are actually two questions here?
the first is: Is there a way to tell if it needs re-charging.
And second. Why can't I just plug it into the computer and it should say "charging".
In the past, I only re-charged it when I found out after walkking, that it went dead on me. So I knew I had to go home and plug it in and the thing goes "CHARGING".
And an hour later or so, it's all charged up.
Isn't there some way to do this 'BETWEEN CHARGES"???
Anybody understand what I'm getting at here?
thanks to anybody who understands my question.
    Melody
P.S. I used to post with a different user ID but it wouldn't accept it so I re-registered.

Hi, I have read the tutorials and no where does it answer my question. I really tried to find my answer believe me but I had to come back here.
I plugged in my ipod and went to ipd options. I then checked the little box that said "manually update songs".
    Then I clicked okay.
so that option has been selected.
Two days later (I had maybe used my ipod for 3 hours total), I looked at my ipod to see the strength of my battery life and in the upper right corner, the battery has a little picture that indicates the following.
3/4ths of the battery is clear and one fourth of the battery is in black.
Does this mean I need more charging or I have 3/4th charge left. Does the black mean that is how much is left?
Also, and here is where I get completely lost.
I was told that if I chose manually update for my songs, that when I plug in my ipod, it would absolutely automaticlaly recharge. Even if there was a bit of charge in the ipod, I was under the impression that it would re-charge it fully. This did not happen.
I plugged in the ipod, the ipod said the words, do not disconnect" and up on my itunes screen it said "Ipod is Updated".
Now where am I being told that it is recharging.
I remember when I first bought this thing, I had to plug it into the computer and it took 2 hours to charge it up.
Now, when the thing goes dead on me, I plug it in and it takes 15 minutes. Am I crazy or something? or is something not right here.
I just went to ebay to buy a home wall charger. I first went to Radio Shack and it costs $29.99.
On ebay you can get it (generic version) for $.99 plus s&h.
Here's the link to what I mean.
    http://cgi.ebay.com/For-Apple-iPod-Mini-Nano-Video-Home-Wall-Charger_W0QQitemZ18 0018872971QQihZ008QQcategoryZ48680QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Now, if I buy this home charging thing and I plug in my ipod, will it then re-charge it fully??? or do I just keep plugging it into my computer and hope for the best.
I guess I'm just not reading the little symbol in the upper right hand corner correctly.
I really did go to the tutorial but I can't find my answers.
Please somebody just answer my basic questions and I'll go away quietly.
    Thanks,
    Melody

  • We have about 5 devices in our family.  My daughter's and mine don't work anymore, ostensibly because we have "too many". It has been so long since I loaded them in, I don't remember how I registered them.  What can I do to reactivate IPOD, SHUFFLE, ETC.

We have about five devices in our family which have been deactivated.  It has been so long since I registered them -years- and I don't recall  how I did it.  For instance, my daughter's IPod from when she was young doesn't work and neither does her IPod Nano.  She can't get any of her music.  My Shuffle doesn't work.  I am embarrassed that I feel like having Apple products is too complicated for me.  I can barely get through all the levels of logging in, let alone how to make the devices work again.  Somewhere along the way I seem to remember getting a message that we had too many devices on our account.  Which account?  I have given up on this so many times and now it is years later and I am trying again.  How can I get some meaningful customer service to use the products and music I bought and paid for?

I think in previous incarnations, people would have jumped all over you for your approach, but the Lion operating has generated decidely mixed or even negative reviews from users. So no one seems to disagree with you. I think many folks are simply staying with 10.6 and waiting to see if OS 10.8 is better than 10.7.  I've mostly avoided upgrading OS's, or when I do I jump over one version completely because I've waited long enough that I'm two versions behind.
Here are the things that will/would motivate me to update the OS:
    * incompatibility with MS-Office (I'm not a MS-Office fan but I do need to use it)
    * incompatibility with flash or other tools needed to view modern web content (this might be a while as I am still using several different Macs, the oldest being a 2005 PPC iMac with 10.5.8 and an fairly old/outdated flash, but it seems to still do ok with most web content). Our 2008 Intel Core 2 Duo iMac runs 10.6.8 and can do just about anything we need -- like you, I decided not to go to Lion because it didn't look like much of an improvement.
    * incompatibility with various commercial software, such as TurboTax, or with web sites I use to manage financial accounts and such things
We got my daughter a new Macbook Air just before she started college, and Lion plus a new Macbook Air model came out a month later. I am glad now about it actually, I think some of the Lion "issues" would have annoyed her greatly (especially the odd dropping of wireless access points under Lion, everyone is on wireless at colleges now). I'm hoping that the 10.8 OS will be better than Lion. We had (probably still have) a certificate for a free Lion upgrade but we decided not to use it.

  • I'm going to Europe in a week and have some questions about charging my computer.

I'm going to Europe in a week. I know there is a built in power thing or something but do I have to change a setting on my computer or will it adjust automatically? And what kind of converter do I need to charge it/plug it in? Will the same one work for Prague, Paris, and London? I've tried doing some research but I just don't understand what I'm reading about different v and what kind to get. I found several adaptor things at the store but have no idea what does what or which one I need.
Also, how do I charge my ipod? Can the same charger work or do I need a separate one?
    Thanks!

The World Traveller Kit is way overkill for this. All you really need is a plug adapter for the area you are going - most of Europe uses the same plug shape. You can get a plug adapter at most hardware or electronics stores for a few dollars. I travelled to Holland, Norway and Israel last year and used such a plug adapter with my MacBook Pro.
    Best of luck.
Sure, but the USB adapter is not universal. So when he buy the adapter for $29 from Apple, and $5 for the adapter you can buy the travler kit for just $5 more and get a) more adapters b) the USB cable c) the adapters could be attached directly to the supper supply's. But sure, you can get a simple adapter like that one.

  • I just bought a new portable battery. It uses 2 USB ports to charge devices, a 1 amp port and a 2 amp port. My question is which port do I plug my iPhone 5s into and which do I use for my iPad 2?

It's a 10,000 mAh external battery. I got this for traveling and because I go to disneyland a lot. My phone wont last all day there and unlike some people, I would never plug my phone into their outlets (I watched a girls phone spark and practically melt once), their voltage is way too high. I have other batteries, but when I saw that this one can charge the 5s fully 3-5 times, I new it was a must. Online, there were wonderful reviews about it and that it charges the 5s and the iPad 2 wonderfully. However when I opened the package and read the directions it listed that there were 2 USB ports, a 1 amp and a 2 amp and to match your device to the port. Now it's been a while since I've studied about volts, amps, etc. so the first thing I do is google it. I know that the iPhone 5s uses 1 amp and the iPad 2 uses 2 amps, and from what I read, you can use the iPad charger to charge the iPhone (which I didn't know there were conflicts about this, I've always used my iPad charger for my phone). There are a lot of articles with people going back and forth about charging techniques, but I want to make sure I'm not going to damage any of my devices if I plug it into the wrong port.
Any responses will be appreciated as this isn't an area where I am very knowledgeable! Thank you!!!

The iPhone and iPad draw whatever charging current they require. The iPad draws more.

  • Do I need to charge my Zen Vision:M before turning it

Will I upset the battery gods if I just turn it on? If so, how long does it need to charge?

The battery won't be effected if you don't let it run down to be dead. Honestly it charges faster on the USB cable if the device is on and plugged in. So if it has charged enough to turn on, I would turn it on and plug it in so its recognized by windows and it will charge faster. Just don't let the battery run down, as the limitation with USB charging devices is that they get much less current to charge on if windows can't recognize it.
So if you run the battery down to close to dead, it will take you that much longer to recharge so its best to keep the units mostly charged.

  • HT1695 Do I need to charge my ipad before setting it up?

Do I need to charge my ipad mini before setting it up? and if so how long?

Nope. All apple devices come precharged.  It may not have 100% battery but it should still be pretty much charged. You should be able to turn it on and start setting it up.  You can even set it up while its charging if you wanted to.

  • TS3212 itunes won't download because something about "mobile device not authorized?"

itunes won't download because something about "mobile device not authorized?"

    Hi buckirich,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  It sounds like you may need to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service.  This article has instructions for doing this:
How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1567
If that doesn't resolve the issue, I would recommend trying a thorough uninstall and reinstall of iTunes as described here:

  • A report about reachable devices in LMS report tools

                       Hi all,
is possible to display a report about reachable devices in DCR database? The report about unreachable devices is only in the reports menu in LMS 4.2.4 (Reports > Inventory > Management Status >Unreachable Devices).
I tried to use the report designer, but there is no possibility to create a rule for this report.:-( Similarly I tried to create group devices, but I didn't find some criteria for this type of group. Thanks.
    Roman

    Hi Roman,
As per my knowledge , there is no such report available in LMS, however I would suggest you to create a POLLER for DEVICE AVAILBLITY  to achive your goal.
Go to  Monitor > Performance Settings > Setup > Pollers     >> click Create Poller.
check the below link for more information:
