Suggestions required on All-In-One System

Dear Guru's,
We're having 2 doubt's regarding All-in-One system,
1. Shall we have 2 system landscape for All-in-One systems. System1(DEV Server)-having single instance with 2 clients 100 - DEV and 200 - QAS and System2(PRD server) having single instance with one client 100-PRD.
2. In our Server, we deployed All-in-One component for country specific of Arabic, is it possible to have another country specific of India in the same server on different client. (100 - Arabic and 200 - India).
Your valuable suggestions required for the above 2 queries.
Thanks in advance.
regards,
Guna

Hi,
I guess the better approach is to raise a OSS message.

  • Any suggestions for an all-in-one "cable modem router print server" (N)

any suggestions for an all-in-one "cable modem router print server" (N)?

If that's a problem with your cable company, change the company.
If your cable company is not able to provide you with a cable modem which gets you full performance for their service why would you bother with that company or try to make it better than them?
If you subscribe to a 100 Mbit/s service they must be able to provide you with a modem that does 100 Mbit/s and be able to demonstrate you 100 Mbit/s on your cable.
If they are unable to provide you with a modem which does 100 Mbit/s and thus cannot demonstrate that the service they have installed in fact can do 100 Mbit/s but only give you a 50 Mbit/s because that's the best they have, why bother buying yourself a better modem to find out whether or not their service does what it promises or not??
In addition, an integrated device won't get you better performance. On the contrary, consumer devices are generally single CPU (and core) devices. It's usually running some Linux or similar. If a single process gets overloaded it can drag down the performance of the whole device. For instance, let's say there is a bug in the print server software of the router. You print something and it hangs and the print server process on the router runs wild. Now the CPU is fully loaded and the routing performance will go down. If there is a bug in the routing software it will bring down the whole device and you can't even print.
You'll get the best performance if you use dedicated devices because then one device cannot overload another. Get a modem. Get a wireless ethernet router. Get a printer with integrated print server. That's far better.
It's like the all-purpose audio device compared to components...

  • HP 6520 - Wireless All-in-One - System restarts automatically

My HP 6520 will reboot/restart without user prompting on it's own.  Does so every hour or so, comes back on-line with no issues.  I can hear the printer cycling and giving audio tones, the screen on the printer goes blank and the rotating icon appears as it comes back up.  My laptop & desktop (Windows 7 & Windows XP) gives the warning that the printer/scanner is briefly not available.   I have run diagnostics on the printer no issues to report.  I have checked the electrical connection - they are solid.  I have changed to a different outlet - no change.  There is plenty of space for air circulation.  No other network attached devices are performing in this manner. Thank you in advance

Hi bobsexton,  sorry to hear that you are having issues with your printer powering on/off on it's own.  I see that you stated that you have attempted other power supplies. Do you happen to have the printer connected to a Power bar/strip or direct to a wall outlet? Please connect direct to a wall outlet if you are using a strip/bar. HP printers already have a built in surge protector so if you have it connected to a bar/strip, the printer will not get all the power needed to function properly. Here is a document that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. Thank you.

  • All In One Printer Suggestion

    Hello Everyone:
I am looking for a suggestion for an All-in-One Printer. I have an iMac, but also have a Mac Book that connects wirelessly for printing, as well as a Dell Laptop that connects wirelessly for printing, and I would also like to be able to print from my iPAD. I currently have a Epson Workforce 610, but unfortunately, the black wont print..after several cleanings, replaced ink cartridges etc, it just won't print black...so I'm looking. I've seen alot about the HPs, but also see lots of negative about the scanning compatibility with the MAC. I have to be able to scan. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jamie

I bought an HP C410a AIO Photosmart printer. Great printer. Works well with my iPhones and iPad thru AirPrint. Works great over Wifi with my MBP too. Has a separate paper tray for 5x7" photopaper. I took advantage of the HP trade-in and receive $50 rebate offer. This program does involve sending HP your old printer, but HP paid for the shipping! My net price from Staples came to $150 (after the rebate).
Some people say HP ink cartridges are too expensive but I plan to use CostCo ink refill service to cut my costs considerably.

  • All-in-one printer?

does anyone have any suggestions for an all-in-one laser printer/fax/scanner? my wife's setting up a home office with the new iMac, and we're looking to get an all-in-one to go with it. so far i've been seeing bad reviews for HP's machines, and canon not offering support for macs.
    any suggestions?

I just logged onto my account at Consumer Reports (Private organization that runs independent tests on all kinds of products) and the top rated multi function printer that suites all of your needs is the Canon Pixma All in One MP780 http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelTechSpecsAct&fcategoryid=12 3&modelid=10444
This unit is rated excellent in the areas of text quality and photo quality. Also it is excellent overall.
Canon DOES Have Mac OS X Intel drivers for download! On the Canon USA website go under Downloads and you can navigate to a list of drivers, of which include a universal one for Intel and Power PC Macs.
Canon is actually one of the first companies to release drivers, I am suprised after seeing that!
PS - I owned an Epson All-in-One and I dont reccomend getting one of those, after a couple of months the quality goes down, and universal drivers arent out yet.
    Hope this helps you..

  • Usb for 1510 all-in-one printer causing problems with it accepting print jobs

I am having trouble downloading the driver for a 1512 all-in-one printer.  It was working for about a week and it is not working now.  I loaded the suggested driver 1510 all-in-one driver but when I get to plugging in the usb from my Windows 7 laptop to the printer, it does not feel it is connected.  I can print items that I scan but am puzzled how it will not print.  The only thing I have deduced is I need a new usb cable.  I bought on ebay as I've always had good luck with hp products.
    Sparky325

I decided that in spite of the fact that it had previously printed, I got another USB cord and used that and then the printer worked.  The one I received with the printer must have been too loose to make a connection.  This one feels snug when i need to print from my laptop.  Thanks for your help. • HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-one problem printing. Ink System Failure has failed unable to copy--

I'm having a problem printing on my HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One. The following message is what came up on the printer screen: Ink System Failure has failed unable to copy, receive faxes or print. Refer to printer documentation Error O.cl9a0007.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Hey Spider! First off welcome to the forum.
I would recommend removing all the ink cartridges, unplugging the USB cable from the computer that connects to the printer, and then shutting the printer off completely by removing the power cord. Then restart your computer. Turn the printer back on but leave it disconnected from the computer. After it has finished its power on cycle go ahead and insert the ink cartridges back into the printer and be sure to seat them properly.
After you have all the cartridges back in the printer properly then connect it to the computer. See if this resolves the issue. If not post back with any findings.
    Thanks,

I need a driver for a Canon MP 450 all in one printer to be used with a Mac mini with the Yosemite operating system.

I just purchased a Brother MFC-9340CDW all in one printer.  It shows up on a list of compatable airprint devices but I can't seem to get it to work.  Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    It won't work with airplay, here is how I got it to work with OSX 10.9.4 fully patched;
you will need to use the serial cable to start the process:
    In-brief Version:
    0) Go grab the firmware update tool, the driver, and the scanner software
    1) Turn off the firewall and antivirus (if you use it ??)
    2) Update the firmware using the serial line
    3) Reserve a static IP outside the DHCP range (using the MAC address of the printer) on your WAP server
    4) Configure the printer to use a static IP through the front panel
    5) Configure the printer WIFI with your SSID and net key through the front panel
    6) Install the CUPS driver on your computer through the printer settings by specifying the static IP
    7) Install the Scanner driver then go into the Control Center and add you computer and printer configuration
I generally use this kind of set up so that the printer comes back at the same place after a power failure in
the event that it has a crappy driver.
For those of you who need a little more help:
    0) Turn off anti-virus and firewall software (it did seem to matter)
    1) Go to the Brother Center and download 1) The firmware update tool, 2) the driver, 3) the scanner software
    2) Go to the front panel on the printer: tools -> all settings -> network -> tcp/ip -> WLAN ; find the MAC address and write it down
    3) Plug the printer in using the serial cable, it will auto detect and you will be able to talk to it.
    4) Install the firmware update tool by double clicking on the dmg you downloaded
    5) Update the firmware and the subfirmware (NOTE: this is a bit finicky -- you may have to unplug and replug it in a couple of times before it starts to talk with the device, after it starts the update process it frequently gives up in the middle, DO NOT unplug the device at this point, just select "retry" from the dialog and it will continue -- it will take about 15 mins or so.
    6) Once the firmware is installed, go to your WAP server and look at the DHCP IP range; typically something like 10.0.1.2 to 10.0.1.200
    7) If there is a capability to reserve an IP on your WAP server pick an IP outside the range in 6 (e.g. 10.0.1.201) and use the MAC address (from step 2) for the reservation... its fine if you don't reserve it -- this is an extra precaution -- just make sure you pick an IP outside the DHCP range
    8) Go to the front panel on the printer: tools -> all settings -> network -> tcp/ip -> WLAN ; then set the IP address:
         boot method: static
IP address: the address you chose in 7)
         mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: the IP of your router -- typically 10.0.1.1
    8) Go to the front panel on the printer: tools -> wireless -> setup wizard -> let it find your network, select it, and enter your key.
    9) Reboot the printer and check it connects to your wireless network
    10) Go to the front panel on the printer, tools -> all settings -> print reports -> network configuration ; print the report and check the IP and MAC
are what you think they should be.
    11) Go to your computer, bring up a terminal (applications->utilities->terminal)
    12) Ping your printer to make sure its up and accessible -- type: "ping 10.0.1.201" (or whatever IP you used in step 7) and check you get a response -- not a timeout -- if it works disconnect the serial line and delete the (serial line) printer from the list of printers  -- you won't need it anymore -- if not you screwed up somewhere along the line
    13) Now the printer is on the wireless network, install the driver by double clicking the dmg. Then go to system preferences->printers & scanners
         click +
in the add menu click IP
enter your IP (from step 7)
make sure the Protocol is IPP
Name the printer and set its location
Go to Use field, in the pull down menu select "Select Software"
Go through the list and find the Brother MFC-9340CDW CUPS driver -- if its not there you screwed up installing it so go do it again.
    14) Go back to the printer page -- select the printer, select Open Print Queue, then select Settings -- check the Driver Version is 4.1.0 -- if
it says 2 you are using the airplay version which seems to be buggered -- so you need to try again.
    15) Go open a word document and print it -- smile you are nearly there
    16) Install the scanner software by double clicking the dmg
    17) Open the Control Center, under the Model: select Other
         Click +
         Select your printer
Enter your computer name in the display name and click ok
    18) Go into adobe Acrobat File->Create->PDF from Scanner (or whatever software you are scanning with)
    19) Select "Brother TWAIN" from the scanner list -- if its not there you screwed up the scanner software installation -- go do it again
    20) Put a document in the top of the printer and press scan -- wammo !
    21) Turn back on your firewall (and antivirus if you have it -- why I can't imagine but what the ****)
    22) Go ping the printer and make sure its still reachable (see step 12) -- if not you need to figure out what your antivirus is screwing up because the firewall is no problem
    23) try printing and scanning again...
    24) rejoice... your done.

  • I have an hp photosmart c7280 all-in-one series printer won't print. error message, system problem

I have an HP Photosmart All-in-One C7280 series printer/fax/copier/scanner. I have been having issues with printing for the past few weeks. It is a wireless printer, with a jack into the wall (for fax) and it is plugged into a power source. I never used to have issues with it before, but recently, it won't print when I send a document to it to print. It will print its configuration pages, reports, etc if I select them from the Printer's menu but not when I send a doc to it to print. First it was saying it was offline, but I figured out how to override that by operating as an administrator and selecting "Use Printer Online" from the dropdown menu when I right clicked on the printer from the control panel. But now it says "Error: Printer failed to print document. System error".
Noooo clue what to do now. This is the only color printer we have so we kind of need it to work. We bought this printer off the shelf at a office store (before I started working here) and so we don't have any designated technichians to work on it. I asked the guy who services our Image Runner Copier to look at it but he had no clue what was wrong with it. Hopefully someone can help?
